Many Russian political commentators in recent weeks have been increasingly aggressive in suggesting that their country can easily defeat and occupy its largest western neighbor and that there is nothing the Ukrainians or the West can do about it.

But a contrary media narrative has unexpectedly sprouted up as well. Russian military and security experts cast doubt that Russia would face an easy time defeating Ukrainian forces in the field or pacifying the country after doing so.   In fact, some worry that invading Ukraine could be disastrous, a Vietnam for Putin and Russia.

As you can see in this ABC News interview where the reporter tried to sandbag her, Kari Lake is fabulous.

Kari is a former news anchor running for Governor of Arizona as a Trump Republican. She made national news last year when she resigned from her position at Fox 10 News in Phoenix after 22 years.

The ABC interview is not the only one where Lake has demonstrated this amount of conviction and poise. Her Rumble page is full of interviews with mainstream outlets attempting the same strategy as the ABC reporter that her team records. While Lake’s poise is enviable, her defense of the views of many Republican voters about the 2020 election is something all GOP candidates need to do.

The ideal elites, as ancient philosophers argued, were a “natural elite” due to their exemplary character, aptitude, and work ethic. Understandably, a towering few ascended from all walks of life to positions of power, influence, and occasional wealth.

Today, our elites are in those positions by embracing woke progressivism that not only cements elite membership, it also serves as an acceptable scab to mask a lack of character beneath.  And a lack of competence.

We don’t quite know, for example, how we got into $30 trillion of debt, normative $2-trillion deficits, and coming runaway inflation. We only know that the 7-Eleven manager, the owner-operator truck driver, and the electrician grasp a lot more about economics than do the elite Ph.D.s who wrote, argued, and led us into this mess.

If you’re a Democrat, things are going very, very badly for you. And it’s not going to get better.

According to a recent McLaughlin and Associates study, 65 percent of likely voters believe that the United States is on the wrong track. That’s hardly surprising considering the multitude of poor decisions the fascists in charge have made since taking power.

In short, Grandpa Dementia is the proverbial albatross around the necks of Democrats who were already wearing concrete boots and standing on the edge of a watery abyss.

But while everyone is focused on the federal elections—and with Trafalgar’s Congressional Generic poll showing Republicans with a nearly 14 point lead, it does look like a wipe out at that level—we shouldn’t forget the state and local level opportunities this fall.

The tally for how much the federal government spent to combat COVID-19 is now estimated to be $5 trillion. It is more than the combined costs of World Wars I and II. The left is celebrating that politicians in Washington saved us. Really? From what exactly?

Two years later, it is time for an honest assessment. Could things have worsened for the country if the government had spent nothing and done nothing? What would have happened if we had not shut down our businesses? Our churches, schools and restaurants. Our parks, basketball courts and playgrounds.

Would the public have made worse decisions regarding protecting its health and the health of its families and its employees than the politicians have made? In a word… No.

Americans want an autonomous Ukraine to survive. They hope the West can stop Russian President Vladimir Putin’s strangulation of both Ukraine and NATO.

Yet Americans do not want their troops to venture across the world to Europe’s backyard to fight nuclear Russia to ensure that Ukraine stays independent.

With Putin’s nemesis, Trump, gone, Russia assumes the appeasement years of the Obama-Biden administration are back again. As in 2014, once more Putin is moving against his neighbors.

One of the most memorable lines from the 1995 movie “The Usual Suspects” is this: “The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he did not exist.”

With just a little tweak, this statement could be applied to the last presidential election: “The greatest trick the Democrats ever pulled was convincing the voters they did not steal the 2020 election.”

If you’ve been wondering about the extent of voter fraud in America, we may be seeing a staggering amount of either fraud or grotesque negligence in Wisconsin voter rolls. A review of the state’s voter roles showed that 569,277 voters registered on January 1, 1918.

Yes, 1918.  Of that number, 20% of these people, all of whom must now be at least 124 years old, voted in November 2020. Biden “won” in Wisconsin by 20,682 votes....

The new telescope’s success so far is just one of our nation’s numerous recent space achievements: Landing robots to explore Mars. Flying a research robot through the Sun’s aura. Snatching a scoop of primordial soil from a distant asteroid and bringing it back in the fall of 2023.

Yet this latest achievement, successfully launched one month ago today, is simply astonishing.

When some people acquire power, they act like wolves. They take whatever savage actions are needed to win and dominate. They turn their opponents and critics into sheep, who learn to be quiet or face vicious attacks and destruction.

We are currently living through a moment of delusion among Democrats, who seem to think they can behave like wolves and destroy and intimidate their Republican opponents. The wolves who currently dominate the Democrat Party think they will be permanent wolves. They are wrong.

The 2022 midterm election will turn the Democratic wolves into sheep—and the power to shear the sheep will be handed over to House Republicans. House Republicans owe it to the Constitution and the American people to defeat the wolves and return them to sheep status.

Joseph Biden’s deservedly maligned speech on voting rights (more aptly described as grotesque racial demagoguery) contained this passage from the Bible (Amos 5:15), which he quoted twice:  “Hate evil, and love good, and establish justice in the gate” [that is, in the courts].

But he left out the rest of Amos 5:15:  “It may be that the LORD, the God of hosts, will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.”

For the demagogue we saw in Atlanta is the same Joe Biden who has acted this way for decades—and advanced politically.  Today he is the champion of the politics of white self-hatred, that America is about race, not about freedom and the pursuit of happiness—about where we’ve been, not where we’re going.

In the 19th century, Democrats championed slavery whose principle was “You work, and I eat.” It is a shame that so many Republicans fail to see that a self-slavery mentality exists today in the party of self-hating whites as “I work and you eat.”

In a disgraceful performance yesterday (1/11), Joe Biden went down to Georgia to offer a disgraceful pack of lies about the filibuster and Democrats’ so-called “voting rights” bills.

In a scathing address on the Senate floor today (1/12), Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell ripped into Biden’s Georgia speech on the Democrat push for voting rights legislation, calling it “profoundly unpresidential” for calling millions of Americans “domestic enemies” while comparing “a bipartisan majority of senators to literal traitors.”

Biden’s was a demagogic rant designed to make Twitter blue-checks do a Snoopy dance of joy while embracing an effort with no chance of actual success.

Democrats are despondent over Joe Biden’s sinking polls. His policies on the economy, energy, foreign policy, the border, and COVID-19 all have lost majority support.

As a result, they now variously allege that either in 2022, when they expect to lose the Congress, or in 2024, when they fear losing the presidency, Republicans will “destroy democracy” or stage a coup.

They praise democracy when they get elected—only to claim it is broken when they lose. Or they hope to avoid their defeat by trying to terrify the electorate. Or they mask their own revolutionary propensities by projecting them onto their opponents.

After all, who is trying to federalize election laws in national elections contrary to the Constitution?

The Supreme Court takes up the issue of vaccine mandates on Friday (1/07), holding a special hearing that is nearly unprecedented in its rushed timing.

Will we become a country of haves and have nots concerning the Covid vaccine, whereby those who sensibly decline the vaccine are segregated in cities, schools, hospitals, and concerts? The new year has rung in a slew of new “no vaccination, no service” rules in restaurants, bars, gyms, and even maintenance work in high-rise apartments.

This is not a fight in which the Supreme Court wanted to be, just as the sheriff in High Noon did not want to confront the outlaws returning on the noon train after the ringleader was released from prison. Ever since the Oscar-winning performance by Gary Cooper in that 1952 classic, its title has been synonymous with an unavoidable high-drama conflict that one side must win.

Inconvenient data continues to roll in suggesting that the COVID vaccines actually have negative efficacy against the coronavirus.

A year after Joe Biden promised to shut down the virus, the United States on January 3 recorded more than 1 million Covid-19 cases, according to data from Johns Hopkins University, as the Omicron variant tore through the nation at a blistering pace. Omicron is said to be much more transmissible, and according to a recent study from Denmark, is much more contagious in fully vaccinated individuals.

Nowhere is this phenomenon more evident than in highly vaxxed New York City, where a surge in positive COVID cases has caused major staffing shortages within the NYPD and FDNY.

According to the mainstream media, print and digital, COVID is surging, omicron is deadly, and everyone with a scratchy throat runs to a testing center to see if he is "infected."  It's madness on a grand scale.

Most of them are not infected, but these thousands of hypochondriacs are waiting hours in line for a test that, even if negative, may be positive the next day.

Viewers who rely on the mainstream media for news have been illegitimately frightened into believing that the sniffles mean omicron and that omicron is serious.

Xi Jinping has been doing a great deal of saber-rattling of late, threatening both Australia and Taiwan.

China has also been building islands in the South China Sea, flying hypersonic weapons, stealing and illegally buying vast amounts of military technology, and overtly working to make its military more manly, even as the U.S. military deals with maternity flight suits and the needs of the so-called transgender troops.

Nevertheless, when all is said and done, a military is only as good as the people doing the fighting, and there are indications that China has a problem in this area.
