HALF-FULL REPORT 04/24/15

It’s a jump from Niue to Vegas.  My brain hasn’t the faintest idea of what time zone it’s in, so my own "puzzle of paradise" is how I’m going to compose a coherent HFR right now, especially when the Rendezvous begins in a few hours.

Jack Kelly has been manning the HFR ramparts superbly since early February – that’s how long I’ve been gone – so let’s hope I still remember how to do this.  Let’s start right off the bat with the HFR Hero of the Week – actually, she’s the Heroine of the Week, a British lady named Katie Hopkins.

She’s a columnist for a London tabloid called The Sun. Published by Rupert Murdoch, it has, along with the Daily Mail, the largest readership of any newspaper in the UK.  Last Friday (4/17), Katie wrote a column entitled, "Rescue Boats? I’d Use Gunships to Stop Illegal Migrants."

You can’t access it unless you subscribe, so here it is in full:

No, I don’t care. Show me pictures of coffins, show me bodies floating in water, play violins and show me skinny people looking sad.

I still don’t care.

Because in the next minute you’ll show me pictures of aggressive young men at Calais, spreading like norovirus on a cruise ship.

Watching them try to clamber on to British lorries and steal their way into the UK, do I feel pity? Only for the British drivers, who get hit with a fine every time one of this plague of feral humans ends up in their truck.

Understand this, these two populations are the same. The migrants harassing Brit truckers at the port are the same as the vagrants making the perilous trip across the Med.

And there is no stopping them. 170,000 came last year.

During a recent operation by the Italian coastguard to rescue migrants off the coast of Libya, the people traffickers threatened crew with Kalashnikovs to get their vessel back.

Clearly, boats are in short supply. And that is a good thing. No boats, no migrants.

There is a simple solution to this. It’s time for the Italians to stop singing opera, drinking espresso and looking chic in chuffing everything.

It’s time to get Australian. 

Australians are like British people but with balls of steel, can-do brains, tiny hearts and whacking great gunships.

Their approach to migrant boats is the sort of approach we need in the Med.

They threaten them with violence until they bugger off, throwing cans of Castlemaine in an Aussie version of sharia stoning.

And their approach is working. Migrant boats have halved in number since Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott got tough.

We don’t need another rescue project. The now defunct £7million-a-month Mare Nostrum – Italy’s navy search and rescue operation – was paid for (in part) by British taxpayers.

And we don’t need a campaign from Save the Children to encourage more migrants to take the journey.

What we need are gunships sending these boats back to their own country.

You want to make a better life for yourself? Then you had better get creative in Northern Africa.

Britain is not El Dorado. We are not Elysium. Some of our towns are festering sores, plagued by swarms of migrants and asylum seekers, shelling out benefits like Monopoly money.

Make no mistake, these migrants are like cockroaches. They might look a bit ‘Bob Geldof’s Ethiopia circa 1984′, but they are built to survive a nuclear bomb. They are survivors.

Once gunships have driven them back to their shores, boats need to be confiscated and burned on a huge bonfire.

Drilling a few holes in the bottom of anything suspiciously resembling a boat would be a good idea, too, just for belt and braces.

Unless we take the emotion out of this and start connecting the migrants in the Med with the Africans clinging to trucks in Calais, we cannot deliver an appropriate response.

If you think rescue boats are a good idea, you may as well set up a Libya to Italy P&O ferry service and send your taxes to Africa by direct debit for good measure.

Or if you think like me, then it’s time to get Australian. Bring on the gunships, force migrants back to their shores and burn the boats.

As it turns out, I do care. I care passionately about British truckers and taxpayers in the UK.

For months, there have been news stories about African "migrants" sneaking across the Med trying to claim "refugee" status and sponge off the Euroweenie welfare state.  They are constantly drowning or being rescued from their leaky boats.  We talked about this (with photos) in The Straits of Gibraltar last January.

Katie is of course exactly right – these African migrants have no right whatsoever to illegally sneak into the EU and demand EU taxpayers support them.  Gunboats instead of rescue boats are exactly what are required. 

Her misfortune was to write this column one day before a horrific disaster occurred – on Saturday (4/18), with over 800 migrants drowning off Libya trying to reach the Italian island of Lampedusa.

With blaring headlines proclaiming "a floating cemetery" of bodies, there was an explosion of hatred directed towards Katie.  Within 48 hours (by Monday afternoon 4/20), 200,000 Brits had signed an on-line petition demanding The Sun fire her.

This morning (4/24), the London Daily Mail reported that the UN is demanding, in the person of the UN Human Rights Commissioner – a Moslem, natch – that Katie be fired and The Sun boycotted.

But good for her, she is refusing to apologize or grovel in the slightest.  And good for The Sun for the same.  Her column today was published as usual, in which she denounced people who say they can’t feed themselves without the Brit equivalent of Food Stamps ("Food Banks"):  The Choice Is… Takers or Makers.

I hope her next column is addressed to all those who signed the petition against her – asking them to sign a petition pledging to personally at their expense (and not the taxpayers) take in an illegal migrant who managed to reach the EU into their home: to house, clothe, feed, and provide medical care for them, and to be personal liable for any crimes they may commit while under their care.

It’s so easy to be "compassionate" with OPM – Other People’s Money – she could explain.  What libtard bleeding hearts must do is prove their compassion with their own money.

America needs a Katie Hopkins of our own – a lot of them.

Now, if you prefer an American Hero of the Week – well, that’s obvious too:  Peter Schweizer.  His new book, Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich, won’t be out until early May – but just a handful of excerpts from it this week are destroying the PIAPS’ White House hopes.

Last night (4/23) on the Hugh Hewitt show, Mitt Romney said of one of Schweizer’s revelations:  "It looks like bribery. I mean, there is every appearance that Hillary Clinton was bribed to grease the sale of, what, 20 percent of America’s uranium production to Russia."

Romney was responding to a front page story yesterday morning in the New York Times – yes, the New York Times – with the headline: Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation Amid Russian Uranium Deal. This is a must-read. 

In sum: 

While Clinton was secretary of state, her State Deptartment approved a $610 million sale of Wyoming-based uranium mines to Russia’s state atomic energy agency, Rosatom. The chairman of Uranium One, the Canadian company that sold the uranium mines to Russia, was Ian Telfer, who gave $2.4 million to the Clinton Foundation. 

Just before State’s approval – required for national security concerns as Rosatom makes Russia’s nukes – a Russian investment bank that was behind the deal paid Bill Clinton $500,000 for a speech in Moscow.

Note the NYT says the story is based on excerpts from Schweizer’s book, and that its own research confirmed Schweizer’s claims.

By yesterday afternoon, there was this headline in Politico: Book blowback hits Clinton’s NYC donor kickoff.  Turns out, big money Dem donors are now backing off funding Hillary thanks to Schweizer.

By this morning, Jonah Goldberg was asking: Will the Clinton-Cash Scandal Doom Hillary’s White House Bid?

All of this within the last few days from excerpts of a book that isn’t even published yet.  That the Clintons are total scumbag crooks is obvious to anyone, and Schweizer seals the case against them.  Their political obituary has been written many times before to no avail.  Let’s pray Schweizer’s obituary is the final one.

We need other political obituaries too – like those of any pro-amnesty RINO White House aspirant like Jeb Bush.  Or else it’s America’s obituary that will be written.

On Wednesday (4/22), my friend Roger Aronoff at Accuracy in Media explained how Obama and the Media Are Still Hiding Their Immigration Agenda.  One scary part is how witless Pubs are signing on.

Yesterday (4/23), J. Christian Adams revealed that Homeland Security Is Working Overtime to Add ‘New Americans’ by 2016 Election.  We’ve known all along that the overt purpose of Zero’s Amnesty plot is to get millions of illegals on the voter rolls to rig elections for the Dems.  Now Adams shows just how this is being done.

Yes, folks, we’re turning into Chavista Venezuela, which is seeing a population explosion (of voting age adults!) just in time for elections.

If this happens – and the odds are increasing daily that it will – then freedom in America is doomed for the foreseeable future.  As Mark Fitzgibbons at AT explains, America is already a Soft Police State. 

That it’s getting harder, we can see from the police state raids on homes of Gov. Scott Walker supporters in Wisconsin.  This sort of thing is going to get progressively worse until and unless we get a pro-freedom president… like Scott Walker.

Amnesty for illegals is the single most important issue in America today.  It has to be stopped, and we cannot have a Pub nominee in 2016 who does not have the guts to stop it.  Thus the Breitbart headline on Tuesday (4/21) should get your attention: Liberals Sputter As Scott Walker Proposes Bold New Immigration Platform.

Regarding immigration, Walker said what must come first is American workers, their jobs and wages, not the plight of illegals.  His timing was impeccable, for the next day (4/22), the Congressional Research Service reported a direct correlation between the decline of wages for all wage-earners except the top 10% and the surge in immigration over the last 40 years.

He has to get more explicit of course, e.g., pledging specifically to repeal and revoke all of Zero’s unconstitutional executive orders of amnesty.

Meanwhile, you’ve got to love a guy who drives libtards apoplectic, like he did on Wednesday – a sacred day for all lefty eco-fascists as "Earth Day" – to the moonbats at Mother Jones who ran this headline:  Scott Walker Celebrates Earth Day by Proposing To Fire 57 Environmental Agency Employees.  How cool is that? 

When Mother Jones proclaims that Scott Walker Is the Worst Candidate for the Environment, you know he’s our guy.

Again, you can’t fault Walker’s timing.  The day after Earth Day (yesterday 4/23), out came the blockbuster news that a massive study at Duke University – using observed data not computer models – proves that global warming computer models are wrong, global has slowed down, all recent climate change is due to natural variability.

That won’t shut Zero up, of course.  But it does give more ammo for a 2016 candidate to show how Warmism is a fascist hoax.

That’s a wrap – except for one last instructive item. 

Four years ago, Boeing opened a huge plant in the right-to-work state of South Carolina, hiring 7,500 workers.  The Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union was infuriated, and has been pressuring Boeing workers to join up ever since.

This week was the time, the union said, there had to be an election for joining or not.  It was canceled – because Boeing workers were so sick and tired of being harassed in their homes they’ve been chasing union organizers off their porches at gunpoint.

That’s what needs to happen with government goons of all varieties to regain our freedom. 

The Rendezvous starts in a few minutes.  I can hardly wait.
