HALF-FULL REPORT 01/30/15

Are you ready for Vegas?  Yes – the TTP Vegas Rendezvous is official!  It’s at the Platinum Boutique Hotel & Spa, just off the Strip and its most famous intersection of Caesar’s, Bellagio, Paris, and the Flamingo.

The dates are Friday April 24^th to Sunday April 26.  We haven’t been able to hold a Rendezvous since 2011 as I’ve been traveling so much.  And with so many requests – "Come on, Jack, when’s another Rendezvous??" – it was clear we better have one this spring.  So here we are.

Along with great speakers, activities, and excursions, we’re going to have plenty of time for socializing – spending time with your fellow TTPers, getting to know them, simply enjoying being around patriots who feel about America as you do.

Well, here’s a first.  Never before has the HFR found cause to praise Mrs. Zero, but we’re happy to so this week.  On Tuesday (1/27) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, she refused to wear a veil or cover her hair for Saudi royalty.

The Saudi government is one of the worst in the world at abusing women’s rights, and she showed her contempt of it – and of the Saudi guys who refused to shake her hand – in her expression. 

She had no problem with wearing a head scarf in previous visits to Indonesia or the Vatican (see pics in the link above) out of politeness, for neither place treats women as sub-human.  Saudi Arabia sure does, and she showed the world what she thought of it.  Good for her.

Ted Cruz sure agrees with us.  He Tweeted (1/28):

"Kudos to FLOTUS for standing up for women & refusing to wear Sharia-mandated head-scarf in Saudi Arabia. Nicely done."

Who else can we praise this week?  How about India’s Narendra Modi?  According to Secretary of State Lurch, a main purpose of Zero’s state visit to New Delhi on Monday (1/26) was to ink a climate deal with India agreeing to limit its CO2 emissions.  Modi said thank-you-for-sharing.  Thus the headline:  Obama Gets Cold Shoulder From Modi, Leaves India Empty-Handed.

Modi isn’t about to be taken in by Warmist claptrap – but more important, he has the backbone to stand straight up to the President of the United States and say No. 

TTP has long been a fan of Modi – now we’re even more so.

Meanwhile, back in frigid North America, the IBD informs us that Global Warming Is So Bad That The Great Lakes Need Another Icebreaker.

As Jack Kelly writes today (1/30), what discredits Warmist predictions of doom is "the widening gulf between warming predicted by computer models and actual measurements."  Now we know why.

A new rigorously tested computer model, as reported by peer-reviewed Physics.org, has been developed that far more accurately predicts real world measurements while exposing the flaws in the UN model used to predict Climate Apocalypse.  The UN equations that massively overpredict warming due to CO2 increases are wrong.

The new model’s equations – which accurately account for the lack of global temperature increase for the last 17 years – show that a doubling of atmospheric CO2 would result in less than 1 degree Centigrade increase in global warming.  I.e., negligible. 

Little wonder that Mr. Kelly considers the climate change scam to be the "greatest snow job in history."

I’m glad I got to Libya when I could and stayed there when it was safe – see Springtime in Libya from last April.  On Tuesday (1/27), ISIS terrorists attacked the hotel I stayed in, the Corinthia, killing eight including one American. 

Thanks to Zero’s total lack of support for Libya, it’s been sliding into chaos ever since I was there.  It’s a shame – but a shame that Zero, of course, will never accept.

Speaking of leaders of countries who are murderers:  Of course Putin ordered the assassination of Alexander Litvinenko.  Tout le monde knows that – but it’s good to see news stories to remind us.

Speaking of murderers.  Yesterday (1/30), Texas proceeded with the execution of Robert Ladd after the Supreme Court rejected ACLU arguments that his IQ was too low at 67.

Ladd murdered a woman by bludgeoning her to death with a hammer in 1996 – while he was on parole for stabbing a woman and her two children to death in 1980.  This human garbage should have been eliminated a long time ago.

The "mental impairment" argument for excusing the criminally insane has an IQ threshold of 70.  Well, what about entire countries at or below that? 

Take a look at this list of National IQ Scores of 113 Countries.  The last thirty countries – all of them either Black African or Black Caribbean – are at 70 or below. 

Note that the ranking cannot be accused of racism, as Singapore, South Korea, and Japan are the highest, while Mongolia is ranked the same as Switzerland.

Are all these lowest thirty criminal states?  No.  Botswana and Rwanda (both 70) are the two best run and most prosperous countries in Africa.  The same could be said for St. Lucia (62!) in the Caribbean.  Many others are criminal, like Chad or Somalia (both at 68). 

What makes the difference if not IQ?  Cultural values.  A culture that values personal freedom, responsibility, honesty, and basic human decency is going to succeed far better than one that doesn’t.  Accepting or rejecting these values is a matter of individual choice,  of character not IQ. 

As Heraclitus (544-475 BC) observed: Character is destiny (ethos anthropo daimon).

There are people with IQs of 140 who are moral scumbags, and those with IQs of 67 who are not. 

Understanding this is one of the basic things that makes one a conservative.  Refusing to understand this is one of the basic things that makes one a liberal.  Which is what makes Robert Ladd’s ACLU defenders moral retards.

Our HFR Health & Fitness feature this week focuses on news stories like this on CBS on Tuesday (1/27): Common Allergy Meds May Increase Odds of Dementia.

The class of meds they are blaming are called "anticholinergics" that "block a neurochemical called acetylcholine."  The author of the study is quoted as saying people "suffering from Alzheimer’s disease typically show a marked shortage of acetylcholine."

The study also shows that "cognitive impairment from use of anticholinergics may not be reversible" – that is, brain damage may be permanent.

Funny thing, though – there’s no mention of what the obvious solution is:  increase your brain’s supply of acetylcholine to optimum levels.  Do that, on a regular or daily basis, and you can kiss the threat of dementia or Alzheimer’s goodbye.

There are other benefits as well. Acetylcholine is your brain’s "focus juice," enabling you to concentrate and focus on whatever task is at hand – such as studying, solving a problem, writing a paper, repairing something broken, storing and retrieving something you want to remember, even sleeping (you can focus on staying asleep as you’re less distractible).

You can’t get acetylcholine into your brain directly.  Your brain makes the stuff ("synthesizes") in the cell bodies of its neurons from building blocks called nutrient precursors. 

Give your brain the right precursors in the right ratios and amounts in the right way and, voila, optimal levels of acetylcholine.  You are thinking sharp and clear.

And here’s my confession:  I’ve been doing this for about thirty years. 

Just about every day, the first thing I do in the morning and the last thing I do at night on an empty stomach is take a teaspoon of a Pearson & Shaw drink mix formula with added fructose as a low-glycemic sugar and soda water (the bubbles get it into your brain faster – just as you get high quicker with champagne than still wine).

My friend (and TTPer) Will Block at Life Enhancement produces Pearson & Shaw’s formula as Memory Upgrade III. You need to add your own fructose (a level teaspoon), and be careful with the soda water as it will foam in the glass.

Let’s close with a rewarding visit to Schadenfreude City – that would be this week in Albany, New York.

Last Thursday, US Attorney for Manhattan Preet Bharara ordered the arrest of the Speaker of the New York State Assembly, a crooked politician (pardon the redundancy) named Sheldon Silver, who had run the place for 20 years.

Accused of running a huge bribery/kickback scheme through his law firm, his fellow Dems screamed in protest and rallied to his support.

The scandal has been getting more delicious by the day.  On Sunday (1/25), the New York Post reported: Silver’s Law Firm Rakes in Millions from Judges He Controls. 

So now we have crooked politicians conspiring with crooked lawyers conspiring with crooked judges.  It’s called Democrat Justice.

By Monday (1/26) out came reports that Governor Cuomo could be in Bharara’s gunsights.

This morning (1/30), the Editorial Board of the New York Times published an op-ed:  Sheldon Silver and New York’s ‘Cauldron of Corruption’.  That was Bharara’s description of the government in Albany. 

Being professional defenders of Andy Cuomo, the editors held him blameless of course, calling on him to fix the problem created by Silver with "tough reforms."

The New York Slimes will resolutely refuse to identify the precise nature of the "problem" because, as Michael Walsh at PJMedia explains (1/27), Democrats in New York are A Criminal Organization Masquerading as a Political Party.  With Governor Cuomo as their current Don.

It’s the same with Democrats in Illinois, Massachusetts, California, or Washington DC – they are criminal organizations masquerading as a political party.  And far too many Republicans are either in cahoots with them or don’t have the guts to kick them in the huevos.

Kind of summarizes American politics now, doesn’t it?

One interesting note:  notice that all those millions Silver rakes in with crooked judges (see the NY Post link above) involve the scam of asbestos claims. 

The scam is so massive that there is a special section of the Manhattan Supreme Court called NYCAL (New York City Asbestos Litigation) for it.

Ten years ago in May 2005, TTP exposed this scam in INSULATED FROM HONESTY: The Quarter-Trillion Dollar Asbestos Criminal Conspiracy.  It is definitely worth reading now, for what was described then is what’s still going on now – albeit that the legislation the article condemned, Arlen Specter’s FAIR (Fairness in Asbestos Injury Resolution) Act subsequently failed to pass. 

I like to think TTP contributed to that.
