HALF-FULL REPORT 07/25/14

We start with a news bulletin.  Yesterday (7/24), software developers at a company called Division Six in Oregon – some of whom are TTPers – announced the release of a smartphone app called the Covert Christian Bible.

It is a KJV (King James Version) Bible that is hidden in your smart phone, camouflaged to look like another harmless application such as a calculator app. Only a secret code known to the user reveals the Bible is there. 

The app’s social networking features enable Christians to create their own study group or accept an invitation to join another that interests them anywhere in the world. For example: A person in Kansas can form a Bible study group with members in Toronto, Jerusalem, and London. A person in Dallas could join a Bible Study group started in China.

The World Net KJV is free.  Right now there’s only a version for Android phones; an iPhone/iPad version will be out shortly.  And it’s only in English at first, with the KJV in other languages to come (I’m bugging them for Arabic and Chinese in particular).

The HFR congratulates the software team of Division Six for their brilliant contribution to the protection of Christians under persecution around the world.

A horrific example of the need for the Covert Bible App emerged in Iraq this week, with the Moslem Barbarians of ISIS murdering and raping Christians in Mosul.  A Christian genocide is being conducted, and nothing is being done to prevent it.

An Editorial Staff op-ed in the New York Times (!) yesterday (7/23) called it a "crime against humanity."  All three major US TV networks – ABC-NBC-CBS – ignored the story.

On Wednesday (7/23), my longtime friend Ed Royce (R-CA), Chairman of House Foreign Affairs, denounced the Zero White House for refusing to conduct drone strikes on ISIS, desperately requested by Baghdad since last August.

Do you think the latest protohominid outrage of ISIS – a fatwa ordering female genital mutilation for women in Mosul – will rouse Zero and the Dems to denounce Moslem fanatics for a real War on Women, instead of inventing a phony one by Republicans because they’re against forcing taxpayers to pay for birth control?  In your dreams….

Here’s a first for the HFR – high praise for Howard Stern.  He’s called a "shock jock" for good reason – one of which is you can’t quote him for a publication like TTP that abjures vulgarity without the constant use of a grawlix.

When Israel launched its war in Gaza to destroy the Hamas Terrorist Tunnels, a caller on his radio show claimed the war was Israel’s fault.  Stern went on an epic rant which contained what should be an immortal statement: "If you’re anti-Israel you’re anti-America."

That about sums it up, doesn’t it?  You could add to it, "you’re anti-freedom, anti-democracy, and pro-terrorist."  Stern certainly agrees.  He went on to say that Israel "is the only democracy over there, the only friend we have .. who’s willing to fight and stand up for what’s right."

Thanks for that, Howard.  I’m sure you’ll be delighted to know that Hamas morale is collapsing as the IDF edges closer to victory.

Stern’s caller was supposedly a Pakistani but he could have been Ron Paul. 

Conservative blogsite PJMedia lists him as #5 among the Ten Worst US Purveyors of Antisemitism.[1]  He’s a defender of Hamas, and thinks that Iran should have nuclear weapons.

As the most prominent Blame America First Libertarian, on Wednesday (7/23) he once again blamed America for 9/11 rather than the Moslems who actually perpetrated it – but only some Americans, i.e., those dastardly "neoconservatives" who actually want America defended from its enemies.

Last week, true to form, he was anointed as Putin’s new best friend for being the Kremlin’s favorite useful idiot in preaching KGB disinformation agitprop on MH17.  It’s not that Paul is Pro-Communist.  No, he, like all moonbats on the Left and Rothbard left-libertarians, are Anti-American – that is, in any dispute between America and one of her adversaries, they will always take the side of the adversary.

The most relevant consequence of his loudmouthing himself back into the news this week is the gross damage it’s doing to his son Rand’s political ambitions.  As McClatchy reports, his father’s kooky radicalism will definitely be used against him should he go for the presidency.  To be viable, Rand will have to disavow his dad in spades.  It won’t be easy.

Any possible excuse for siding with Russia’s claims over those of Ukraine’s re MH17 vanished with the behavior of the Russian mercs and "separatists" after the shootdown.  On Monday (7/21), the Dutch Ambassador to the UN, Frans Timmermans spoke from his heart to the Security Council:

"Just for one minute, I want to say that I am not addressing you as representatives of your countries, but as husbands and wives, fathers and mothers.  Just imagine you first get the news that your husband was killed, and within two or three days, you see images of some thug removing the wedding band from their hands. This could be your spouse.

To my dying day, I will not understand why it took so long for rescue workers to be allowed to do their difficult jobs. For remains to be used in a political game.  If someone around this table talks about a political game, this is it, this is the political game, it has been played with human remains and it is despicable."

That "someone" he is talking about is, of course, the Russian at the table, Vitaly Churkin.  His talk is worth watching entire.

Today (7/25), a Russian "separatist" girl (described as a "beauty" but I’d prefer "blyat") posted pictures of herself bragging she was wearing makeup looted from MH17 luggage.

Also today, in a report entitled "Humans at their worst," the Russian thugs are using the MH17 victims’ credit cards and cell phones.

On Tuesday (7/22), Australian premier Tony Abbott accused the Russian mercs of tampering with the MH17 wreckage "on an industrial scale."

That same day, a "separatist" at the Torez railway station where the bodies were loaded admitted to an Italian reporter that "We shot down the MH17 thinking it was a Ukrainian cargo plane."

You may have noticed that Skye and I on the Forum have been having a friendly joust about some of this.  But we agree on the bottom line. 

"Let us not be distracted," Skye says, "over who pushed the button that shot down MH17.  The most important issue is that Putin is invading Ukraine — and there is no reason to think that he will stop there. Hitler didn’t stop after taking the Rheinland, and he didn’t stop after Poland. So far, it looks like Europe will do nothing adequately effective to cut off Putin’s Gazprom money supply until it is too late to avoid a major war."

Shortly after Skye posted that yesterday, the Pentagon announced that "Russia is firing artillery from its own territory into Ukraine to hit Ukrainian military sites." 

"This clearly is a military escalation," Pentagon spokesman Col. Steve Warren said, adding "there is no question that Russian military — as opposed to Russia-backed separatists — are firing the shots." 

In response to this finding, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Martin Dempsey compared what Putin is doing in Ukraine to Stalin’s invasion of Poland.  For Skye, Putin is like Hitler, for General Dempsey, Putin is like Stalin.  No real difference, especially since in 1939 they were bosom allies.

Cowardice is what eggs tyrants on – as Skye, Gen. Dempsey, French philosopher Bernard-Henri Levy, and British historian Sir Max Hastings understand.  Zero certainly doesn’t, nor does the current crop of Euroweenie leaders.  We are in dangerous times.

One small ray of hope is on the front page today (7/25) of the Novaya Gazeta Russian newspaper published in Moscow.  It is a picture of the cortège of hearses proceeding down a highway in Holland bearing the bodies of Dutch MH17 victims, with the headline in Dutch and in Roman (not Cyrillic) letters:  "Forgive Us, Netherlands."

It is an extraordinary act of courage on the paper’s part, for since its founding in 2001, four of its journalists have been murdered on orders from the Putin Huilo for running stories critical of him.

The story reports that individual Russians are placing tributes to the victims of the MH17 crash outside the Dutch Embassy in Moscow, with some asking for forgiveness.

Flowers, notes and toys have been placed there during the last few days. One message reads: "We are afraid, we are ashamed, we are in mourning," while another mourner left flowers accompanied by a note that simply reads: "Forgive us."

There is hope for Russia.

Is there hope for America?  Of course.  This November will provide some, especially regarding the Senate.  Dirty Stinking Lousy Lying Harry Reid’s hopes for anyone paying any attention to him next year crashed and burned in Montana, of all places, on Wednesday (7/23) when the New York Times disclosed Dem Sen. John Walsh plagiarized his master’s thesis at the United States Army War College.

Walsh is whining that it was due to PTSD.  Right.  Since his Pub opponent, Steve Daines, was already ahead of him by over 12 points before the disclosure, you can chalk another Senate seat for the Pubs on Nov. 04.  Daines, by the way, is Montana’s sole Congressman and is a Tea Party Conservative.

Good news also from Georgia.  While we wait for Chris McDaniel in Mississippi to get off his butt and sue his rigged loss in court, a big backlash against his getting screwed by the GOP Elite happened on Tuesday (7/22) when Tea Partyer businessman Dave Perdue beat the US Chamber of Crony Commerce candidate Rep. Jack Kingston in the GOP primary.

Even the WaPo says he’ll beat Dem candidate Michelle Nunn.

One of the best reads of the week is Jonah Goldberg’s Big Business – Lapdog of the Left.  It’s up to Tea Partyers in the House and Senate to kill corporate welfare, for neither Dem nor Pub Elites will.

He also gives a marvelous description of Faucahontas Warren as the current "dashboard saint of left-wing populism."  Good one, Jonah.

The best one-line hit of the week, however, was delivered by Marco Rubio, who described Hillary Clinton as "a 20^th century candidate."

That’s devastating.  She’s not just old and over-the-hill, she’s obsolete, OBE (overtaken by events), so yesterday, so, well, last millennium.  She made her irrelevance overtly clear yesterday when, believe it or not (you couldn’t make this up), she actually claimed her vaunted 2009 "reset" with Russia has "succeeded."

That’s a quote.  I kid you not.  This is flat out delusional.  So much so that even CNN made fun of her for it.  A month or so ago, I bet a friend 100 bucks that the PIAPS wouldn’t be the Dem candidate, and would lose if she were. "She’d be the Dem Bob Dole of ’96," I said.  I think I made a good bet.

Time to close with the HFR Hero of the Week.  No doubt about it, he’s Texas Governor Rick Perry.  Not only is he proud that Texas has jailed 203,000 illegal aliens for committing 640,000 crimes, he’s ordered the Texas National Guard to protect his state’s border from  Zero’s Illegal Invasion.

Traitor Dems like Joaquin Castro (D-TX) denounce Perry for "militarizing" the border.  That’s a criticism?  It’s high praise, for that’s exactly what’s needed.

The New York Times is shrieking that since Perry is "deploying [the National Guard] himself rather than through Washington, he has the power to order the troops to make arrests and apprehensions, something Guard troops in past border deployments have been prohibited from doing."  Well, hallelujah!

Perry is leading the charge for mass immediate deportation of the Illegal Invaders.  The New York Times bemoans this, wailing that "the rush to deport young immigrants could trample their asylum claims."  Well, let’s hope so!

Everyone knows that claims for "asylum" are a total scam to get into and sponge off the US welfare state.

No doubt about it – Perry’s making a run for the White House Roses, and the run is solid.  Perry 2016?  Nothing’s for sure except this:  Neither the Dem nor the Pub ticket will be composed of two white guys.  There will be a woman, a black, and/or a Hispanic in there somewhere.  Perry-Carson?  Could be.
