SARKO VS. EURABIA

My wife just returned from a business trip to Paris last night. She hadn’t been there in a while and was shocked at its transformation. “Where are all the French?” she asked. “Every other person I saw was Arab or North African.” Now she understands how Europe is becoming Eurabia.

“Eurabia” is a term coined by historian Bat Yeor, and is the subject of her book to be released next week: Eurabia: The Euro-Arab Axis. Europe is becoming Islamicized. Moslem immigrants swarm through many European cities and have taken over entire regions which are ridden with crime, poverty, filthy slums, and mosques with imams preaching Islamist hate.

Worst off is France. The latent anti-Semitism that made it easy for Hitler to establish the Vichy French regime in World War II has burst forth in full bloom. This makes for a commonality between the French and Jew-hating Moslem immigrants. With a birth-rate far below replacement rate, the French don’t want to have children – nor do they want to work. They just want to go on vacation. Moslem immigrants, already 10% of the population, are breeding fast, more than double French women. France is well on its way to becoming an Islamic nation. It ceased being a Christian one long ago.

Yet standing in the way blocking France’s march to cultural doom is a short, wiry fellow with a distinctly un-French name. He’s the most popular politician in France, rock-star popular, married to a beautiful, glamorous model, and the odds-on favorite to be the next President of France. He’s Nicolas Sarkozy – the beloved “Sarko,” as everyone calls him, and he’s part Jewish.

Sarko’s father, Pal Nagy Bosca y Sarkozy, was a Hungarian aristocrat who fled Budapest in 1944, settled in Paris, acquired French citizenship, married a Parisian lady whose father was Greek and mother was Jewish. (Sarko’s wife, Cecilia, is the daughter of a Russian pianist and a Spanish mother – so their two children are Hungarian-Greek-Jewish-Russian-Spanish!). The cool thing about this is that Frenchpeople could care less about Sarko’s ethnicity. He’s French, they love him, and that’s that.

They love Sarko because French President Jacques Chirac hates his guts. In order to squelch Sarko’s rising popularity, Chirac made him Interior Minister in 2002, sure that he would fail handling France’s growing crime and illegal immigration problems. Soon after Sarko put more cops on the street, raided organized crime gangs, and put illegals in detention centers, the crime rate dropped and Sarko’s popularity soared.

In revenge, Chirac made him Finance Minister, confident that he would fail this time, faced with France’s growth rate of 0.5% for 2003 and slipping into recession. That was last April. Sarko, quickly cutting taxes, government spending, and food prices, has quadrupled the growth rate to over 2% since.

So Chirac is old, old news now in France. Everyone hangs on Sarko’s words now – and those words are full of praise for George Bush and Tony Blair, the two world leaders Sarko publicly says he admires above all others. The next president of France will be unabasedly pro-American. He will also be pro-Israel.

Chirac is passionately pro-Arab, pro-Palestinian terrorist (he accorded Arafat state honors after he died in a French hospital last November), and has been on a crusade to get Turkey into the EU. Sarko says no.

At the ultra-EU-elite Le Cercle des Europeans in Paris a month ago, Sarko stated his opposition clearly:

The matter is not Turkey. It is Europe and its identity. The Turks are close to us. Still, they belong to another area, both in terms of geography and culture. If they join us… the very concept of Europe as a community based on a common history and common values will be lost.

At last, a politician with the nerve to say, Europe belongs to Europeans.

And there is more. For Sarko insists that Israelis are Europeans, that Israel is a European country, that it is part of Western Civilization. Here are his words:

Israel is the most likely candidate to the EU in this part of the world [in near-Asia, rather than Turkey]. Most of the Israelis come from Europe or were raised according to European standards. They share our culture and our values. And they have built one of the most impressive economies in the world.

A pro-American President of France who advocates Israel joining the European Union? Yes, that’s what’s coming. There’s hope for Europe yet. In case you’re wondering what that hope looks like, here he is:
