HALF-FULL REPORT 1/07/11

Hasn’t this been quite a first week of 2011?  It started bizarrely for me with a flood of emails and calls Monday morning (1/03) asking if I was still alive or dead in a dumpster.  The Drudge Report was carrying this headline in red letters:

Reagan Aide Jack Wheeler Murdered, Body Found in Landfill

I had to reassure everyone that: 

It’s not me.  I’m not in a dumpster in a landfill — I’m home in my easy chair  writing this. John Wheeler was always getting confused with me in Washington as he liked to be called by his nickname Jack (like John/Jack Kennedy). I ran into him several times at different DC functions and found him to be a very nice fellow. But I’m no John, just Jack.

This is a terrible tragedy and a mysterious one. But for all those who’ve emailed their concern, it’s not me, I’m fine.

Tuesday morning (1/04) began with an all-together different phone call.  My wife answered, and tears quickly began streaming down her face.  They were tears of relief and joy – for our son was back home from war.

Brandon’s unit, 2/6 Marines, saw more combat than perhaps any other in Afghanistan during the last six months, for they were deep in Apache country:  Helmand Province.  17 of his men are not coming back.  He is so thankful for all the prayers TTPers sent his way that helped sustain him.  His mother and I are so thankful for his service with honor, and his safe return.  It is with so much pride that we salute our son, Capt. Brandon Wheeler, USMC, and all those who served with him.

Wednesday morning (1/05) America got to say goodbye to Speaker-no-more Pelosi.  It was a sickeningly long goodbye.

Electric day-glo blue suit, perfectly coiffed and streak-blonde dyed hair, perfectly frozen smile, perfect oleaginous delivery, Pelosi Galore thought the moment was all about her with her endless and endlessly obnoxious self-serving speech – 12 minutes! Would she ever shut up? –  before finally turning the gavel and speakership over to John Boehner.  

Thank God she’s gone.  No one has to pay any attention to her ever again.  She’s history.

Thus the most laughably absurd headline of the week is:  Dems Vow She’ll Be Speaker Again.  This is beyond delusional.  The actual real Dem philosophy now is:  Every Man For Himself.  Whatever votes they have to make to get re-elected in 2012, they’ll take.

It’s way too soon to predict how many Dems will switch parties, but safe to say lots won’t be taking their Minority Leader’s commands any longer.  Those 19 votes against her being their leader are just the start.  It will be so much fun watching her trying to herd cats.

Let’s talk about a far nicer and more interesting lady in Congress – Marsha Blackburn (R-TN).  She wasted no time whatever dropping two bills in the hopper mere hours after Congress convened on Wednesday (1/05).

Her HR 96 is entitled: To prohibit the Federal Communications Commission from further regulating the Internet.  What’s more, she dropped it with 59 co-sponsors.  She rounded up almost five dozen co-sponsors by the very first day of Congress.  Call it the Death to Net Neutrality Act.

Her HR 97 is entitled:  To amend the Clean Air Act to provide that greenhouse gases are not subject to the Act.  She got 46 co-sponsors for this one – on the first day, with many more to come.  Call it the Death to the EPA Act.

These bills will be passed, and quickly.  Further, Marsha will be busy defunding both the FCC and the EPA – for she knows the fate of pro-American, pro-freedom House bills in Harry Reid’s Senate.

A quick aside on Little Harry.  I asked a friend of mine who’s chief of staff for a high ranking Pub Senator about Reid’s attempt to kill the filibuster.  "Ever see the Clint Eastwood movie, Heartbreak Ridge?" he asked.

"One of my favorites," I replied.

"Then you’ll remember Clint’s great line when he’s asked to sign off on a shipment of contraband Cuban cigars – ‘Sergeant, you get that smuggled stogie out of my face, or I’ll shove it so far up your *** you’ll have to light a fire under your nose to smoke it.’ 

"And that’s just what we’ll do to Harry when we recapture the Senate next year.  With 23 of his up and only 9 of ours, he should know how stupid he’s being."

Remember that the HFR predicted "defund" would be the WOTY (Word of the Year) for 2011?  Well, that didn’t take long – a single week.  Today’s (1/07) headlines are about Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan’s commitment to Defunding ObamaCare.  

To help Ryan, Steve King (R-IA) will be inserting language that "prohibits any funding for implementation of ObamaCare in literally every appropriations bill that passes the House this year."

When Little Harry bloviated yesterday (1/06) that the Dems holy health care bill "is not going to be repealed," a reporter asked him point blank:   "Would you shut down the government to save the health care law if in fact the House sent the Senate appropriations bills that prohibited funding for implementation of it?" 

Reid refused to answer – for he knows that the Dems can prevent ZeroCare from being repealed, but not from being defunded.

And it hasn’t taken long for Zero to figure out that defunding is the game and played his first card yesterday:  defunding our military.  He well knows the military and our national defense is the last thing the Republicans want to cut (note it’s the first thing for the Dems) – so he’s using his cuts as a bargaining chip:  I’ll rescind my military defunding if you’ll rescind defunding of something on my side.

He can’t trade $78 billion in military cuts for trillions in ZeroCare costs, but it’s a clear shot across the Pub bow.  Republicans know Zero will damage our military as badly and as deeply as he needs to bring them to surrender on ZeroCare and much else.

Yes, this is treason, simple and straightforward, but no surprise coming from Democrats.  One really revolting aspect is Little Bobby Gates going along in order to keep his job.

Can you imagine the smirks and sneers of the faces of China’s leaders and generals?  While Zero is gutting our military, the Chicoms are arming to their teeth, preparing for war.  Another example of how our country’s survival depends on Zero being a one-term POTUS.

Let’s get back to Steve King.  He’s taken the lead on an issue that’s going to get big: ending "anchor babies," the practice of pregnant women sneaking across the border from Mexico to give birth to a baby and claim the infant is a US citizen.

Steve’s bill, HR 140, is entitled:  The Birthright Citizenship Act. It will deny citizenship to anyone born in the US unless one parent is a US citizen or permanent legal resident.

Phil Gingrey (R-GA), one of the bill’s co-sponsors, will be offering a companion bill that will serve the same purpose but be less susceptible to legal challenge.  "Anchor babies" are such because they anchor a boatload of relatives to pour into the US – the mother, father, their parents, brothers, cousins, in an endless "chain migration."

Gingrey’s bill will end this by making the baby anchorless – even if the baby has "birthright citizenship," the parents remain illegals and must be deported.  The baby must return to the deported parents’ land of origin or can be put up for adoption by legal US citizens.  No more anchor, no more chain migration.  It’s a start.

Now let’s talk about another Congressman King – Peter King of New York.  Jack Kelly discusses his effort to separate the Moslem crazies from their regular brethren this week, and mentioned the New York Times’ condemnation of him.

What you are going to absolutely love is King’s response:

"I’m absolutely delighted that The New York Times would attack me. I have nothing but contempt for them. They should be indicted under the Espionage Act."

Is he our kind of guy or what?

Peter King is giving American Moslems a chance to distinguish themselves from the barbaric inhumanity that is engulfing their religion and a good many Moslem countries around the world.

The poster child for Islam as a defective meme capable of deranging an entire society is Pakistan. 

The country is so Moslem nutball it has a law mandating a death sentence for "blaspheming" Islam – and when a Christian woman last year got into a shouting match with Moslem women in her village, she was so sentenced under this law. 

In response to the international outcry against her death sentence (including the Pope’s), millions of Pakistanis have been rioting demanding her execution.

The Governor of Punjab, Salmaan Taseer, took the courageous step of telling Pakistanis to regain their sanity.  He called for pardoning the woman, Asia Bibi.  On Tuesday (1/04), his personal bodyguard, Malik Mumtaz Qadri, emptied the clip of his AK-47 into Taseer, shooting him 26 times.  Qadri told arresting police he killed Taseer for his "blasphemy" (gustakh-e-rasool) in siding with Bibi.

Millions of Pakistanis flooded their streets in joy.  Qadri is such a hero that at his court appearance today (1/07) he was showered with rose petals.

The defective meme of Islam (a meme is a cultural gene) is deranging Egypt, with so many of its Moslems supporting the terrorist slaughter of Christian Copts.  Genocidal warfare is constantly being waged or advocated upon Christians by Moslems in Nigeria.

At least Europe is beginning to wake up to the threat.  Greece is building a border fence to keep out Moslem illegals from Turkey.  (At least our hordes of illegals from Mexico are Christian – what if they were Moslem?) 

In a poll released today (1/07), most people in France and Germany consider Islam and the Moslems among them to be  threat to their national identity.

In Germany, the runaway best-selling book is Deutschland schafft sich ab (Germany Abolishes Itself) by Thilo Sarrazin.  He lists the three causes of Germany‘s doom:  the refusal of Germans to have children, social welfare policies, and Moslem immigration.

The most deadly is the last for Sarrazin, one of Germany‘s most prominent finance experts.  If it can be solved, the other two will, he believes, follow.  We present his case in TTP this week: Germans Must Not Become Strangers In Their Own Country.

We need more Thilo Sarrazins in America.  We need more Peter Kings in Congress.  Most of all we need a President who has the courage to be politically incorrect about Islam.

Last November 2^nd was a triumphant event, but only the Preliminary Round.  Almost everything happening on either end of Pennsylvania Avenue from now on is a jockeying for November 6^th, 2012.  That’s the real run for the roses, the race for the whole enchilada – the White House, the Senate, and the House.

America will simply not survive another four years of an anti-American, anti-military, pro-Moslem president.  He has got to be replaced by his antipode.  Among others, one ironclad requirement for a Republican presidential nominee must be a clear recognition of the nature of Islam and the courage to state it.

There are hundreds of millions of Moslems around the world of all different denominations – Sunnis, Shias, Sufis, Ismailis, and others – who just want to live normal lives and abhor bloodshed and violence.

Nonetheless, they have allowed their religion to become, among all of the world’s major faiths, the least tolerant, the most imperialist, the most violent.  We must have a president who recognizes this as a fact of reality, no more up for discussion than the sun rises in the east or slavery is a moral evil (an evil that, incidentally, Allah and Mohammed in the Koran approve of).

Who this person is is not yet determined.  This must be the lens of focus when examining the qualifications of prospects.  There are other lenses, but this one is mortal – that and the ability to stand up to, and finesse, the Chicoms.  How then does Sarah Palin, John Bolton, Rudy Giuliani, Mitch Daniels, or Mitt Romney come into focus?   

Someone has got to.  America made an almost fatal mistake in 2008.  At the end of 2010 she made an effort to recover.  Now at the start of 2011, she is launched on a renewal.  We must not falter.  America now has the chance to be freer than ever.  The chance must not be lost in 2012.
