HALF-FULL REPORT 10/12/18

Jerusalem, Israel.  We’re in the middle of Hidden Holy Land II with a wonderful group of TTPers.  It’s dawn here, meaning it’s just past midnight in DC, and still yesterday in California.  By the time I wrap this up, Friday in America will have barely begun, so if any October Surprise happens today, it will have go unmentioned here.

It is extraordinary to be here at one of the great crossroads of history on the eve of America’s crossroad of history just 25 days from today.  First however, let’s reflect on what a momentous week this has been in the history of Western Civilization.  In particular, yesterday and today.

Yesterday, October 11, we celebrated the 1,286^th anniversary of the Battle of Tours in 732 AD, when Charles Martel (686-741), forever known as The Hammer, and his 30,000 Christian soldiers crushed an invading horde of 200,000 Moslem Jihadis in what is now central France.

As Gibbon noted, had the Moslems won that day, all of Europe would have been Islamized and Western Civilization would have been extinguished.  The famous passage from Book 7 of his masterwork, The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire describes the consequence had the Christians lost:

“A victorious line of march had been prolonged above a thousand miles from the rock of Gibraltar to the banks of the Loire; the repetition of an equal space would have carried the Saracens to the confines of Poland and the Highlands of Scotland; the Rhine is not more impassable than the Nile or Euphrates, and the Arabian fleet might have sailed without a naval combat into the mouth of the Thames. Perhaps the interpretation of the Koran would now be taught in the schools of Oxford, and her pulpits might demonstrate to a circumcised people the sanctity and truth of the revelation of Mohammed.”

Yet it was the Moslems who lost, not the Christians on this historic day, thanks to the military genius of Charles the Hammer – who followed up his victory at Tours (the actual battle site is near the hamlet of Moussais about 60 miles south of Tours) with additional crushing victories over invading Moslems.

As historian Antonio Santosuosso makes clear in his definitive book, Barbarians, Marauders, and Infidels, these victories – such as at Arles in 736 and Narbonne in 737 – were just as momentous in preserving Europe from Moslem conquest as Tours.

So a toast to Charles the Hammer, savior of Europe and Western Civilization!

Today, October 12, is for celebrating the 526^th anniversary of Columbus’ discovery of America, for on this day in 1492, the Great Admiral landed on Guanahani (now known as San Salvador or Watlings) island in the Bahamas.

We commemorate this as a true discovery in contrast to all the claims of Vikings, Chinese, Irish, and others who supposedly came earlier – for once and only after Columbus discovered America, it stayed discovered.

Unfortunately, Columbus Day is for most Americans just an excuse for a three-day weekend (last weekend this year, 10/06-08).  What it should be is a commemoration and celebration of  Western Civilization – which is why the Left hates Columbus and his holiday.

So there’s the usual spectacle of American Indians using the holiday to denounce the White Man and his genocidal war-mongering culture-destroying earth-murdering imperialism, blah blah blah – with White Liberals joining in, masochistically condemning their own civilization.

If it’s your misfortune to run into any of these folk bemoaning the nightmare and tragedy of our coming here, you might suggest to them that they abandon every vestige of the civilization they hate as so evil.

Not just every material benefit – electricity, the wheel, and all post-Stone Age inventions. Every psychological vestige as well – relinquishing all products of European psychological imperialism, all Eurocentric concepts such as the earth goes around the sun, reading, writing, mathematics, physics and chemistry, and all other educational oppressions.  Oh, yes, all forms of modern medicine and medical technology too.

North American aboriginals had none of this before Columbus.  Ask your liberal friends if that’s the world they prefer.

And if they still maintain the aboriginals were better morally than us, educate them on the fantastic level of violence perpetrated by pre-Columbian Amerindian tribes upon each other is documented by anthropologist Lawrence Keeley in War Before Civilization: The Myth of the Peaceful Savage.

Keeley documents with both historical and grisly forensic evidence that European settlers were on the whole far more peaceful than Amerindians, who were far more violent.  Thus at America’s founding, it was with good reason that Thomas Jefferson listed in The Declaration of Independence as one of the “injuries and usurpations” afflicted upon the Colonies by King George III was that:

“He has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages whose known rule of warfare is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.”

Now if they still persist in being guilt-ridden and trot out the “But we stole their land!” bromide, just ask them to what tribe are they donating their home and other property?

You can have a lot of fun posing such questions to liberal lovers of the Stone Age — and telling them to act as they preach.

So this evening – most appropriately over a glass or two of Chianti, Montepulciano or other Italian red of your choice (if you prefer white, perhaps a Pinot grigio) – give thanks to the Admiral of the Sea, one of the great heroes of history, Christopher Columbus, and the blessings of Western Civilization that his discovery bestowed upon America.

Western Civilization is mankind’s oldest. Human culture first originated among the Cro-Magnon peoples, as the world’s oldest cave art attests (40kya, thousand years old, at El Castillo, Spain; 35kya at Chauvet, France, etc.) in Western Europe.

While the philosophical and scientific traditions of Western Civilization originated in Ancient Greece, it is here at the eastern end of the Mediterranean that the two great religious traditions of Western Civilizations originated, Judaism and Christianity.

You’re never far away from that origination of thousands of years ago, yet at the same time you’re always aware that the modern state of Israel is a First World outpost of Western Civilization in Third World Apache Country.

Nowhere is that more clear than where we went yesterday, to Israel’s oldest city and original capital, Hebron.  It was here that Abraham settled and bought the first Jewish-owned land in Israel, a cave to bury his wife Sarah.  It is here, in the Cave of the Patriarchs, that Abraham and Sarah, Abraham’s son Isaac with his wife Rebecca, and Isaac’s son Jacob with his wife Leah, are buried.

It is also here that David settled and was anointed King of Israel, making Hebron the Land of Israel’s first capital (for seven years before David moved on to Jerusalem).

Some nine centuries later, Herod I (74-4 BC) built a monumental enclosure over the cave that remains to this day “the oldest major building in the world that still fulfills its original function.”

It was a sacred pilgrimage site for Jews and Christians for over six centuries, until marauding Arabs calling themselves Moslems seized the Holy Land for themselves, claimed Abraham was really a Moslem, and in 638 converted the Temple of the Patriarchs into a mosque.

For the next thirteen centuries, Jews were prevented by Hebron’s Moslem rulers from entering the burial place of their founding ancestors.  The most they could do is go no further than seven steps up to the entrance, which is why Jews worship at that spot today (it’s to the right of the corner in the shadow):

It was only in 1967, after the Six Day War liberated that part of Israel occupied by the Jordanian Army since Israel’s independence in 1948, that Jews were free to live and worship in Hebron once more.

But alas, Hebron was a tiny Jewish island in a Moslem sea, Moslem Arabs who called themselves “Palestinians.”  Still there are periodic horrific Moslem terrorist attacks on the Jews of Hebron.  Not many foreign travelers come here.  While there are hordes of visitors elsewhere – Jerusalem is overrun with Americans in October – we were the only ones here.

What did it take to get to Hebron?  We had to take an armored vehicle with bullet proof glass.  The rage of hate, violence, and murder has consumed the souls of so many, possibly most, Palestinian Arabs.

It would seem impossible for any normal Westerner to be on the side of Palestinian barbarity instead of the Jews of Israel.  Yet it is tragically far from impossible at all.

For it is no accident of history that both of the monstrous evils of the 20^th century, Nazism and Communism, originated in Europe by Hitler and Marx, and their European followers.  Envious hatred for the success of Jews and capitalist bourgeois runs deep, as it continues to do so today.

We Americans, however, are the ones who left all that criminal insanity in Europe.  But insanity, especially that of criminal hate, can be infectious.  And so it is at this very moment that the American Left has become fully infected by the twin monstrosities – twin as they are two sides of the same coin – of both Nazism and Communism.

How else to explain, for example, why so many Democrat politicians are simultaneous advocates of Communist healthcare instead of free market healthcare, and of Palestinians instead of Israelis?  Bernie Sanders and Andrew Gillum, to take just two out of many.

Look around.  It’s always the Leftie advocates of more government, more controls on business and your life, that are on the side of Palestinian terrorists.

One reason is because they are terrorists themselves at heart.  They believe in physical force and violence.  Some may engage in it directly like the Fascist Antifa Brownshirts.  Others call for their followers to do it, like Maxine Waters.

There’s a proverb of modern vintage that you may know:  Inside every Democrat is a totalitarian screaming to get out.  The urge to go Full Thug Fascist that has been hidden and suppressed by most Democrats has now broken loose.

The latest example post-Kavanaugh is The PIAPS herself, who on Tuesday (10/09), declared that Democrats “Cannot be Civil” with Republicans Any More.  Thus the cover of the NY Post the next morning:

The inmates have broken out of the asylum and want to put us normals in prison.  Those are the stakes 25 days from now.  November 6^th is a true fork in history’s road – Freedom or Fascism.  It’s not enough to just vote for the former yourself.  It’s to get everyone you know or can reach in any manner to do so as well.

For that’s exactly what they – and their unhinged Fake Newsers – are.  The good news is that more and more people in the millions are realizing it.

Yesterday (10/11), the Daily Caller noted: Real Clear Politics Is Predicting a Red Wave in the Senate.  There’s no Dem pickup in sight, from Arizona to Texas to Tennessee, while it’s low-hanging fruit for Pubs from North Dakota to Missouri – and watch out for Michigan and yes, New Jersey.

A RCP companion piece that’s a must-read is Déjà Vu for the Democrats? (10/11) by Marc Alderman, a high-ranking DNC veteran.  He’s worried that the Blue Wave will be a Blue Ripple even in the House instead, and notes the consequences:

*The entire Dem leadership, House, Senate, DNC, is history.

*The new Dem leadership will be so Hard Left it will give the Trump GOP an unbreakable hold on Middle America.

*Trump Unchained: “Goodbye, Jeff Sessions.  Goodbye, Rod Rosenstein. Goodbye, WTO. Goodbye, United Nations. Oh, and goodbye, Bob Mueller.”

*All Republicans will compete to kiss Trump’s ring.  RINOs will go extinct.

Sound good?  Sounds fabuloso?  Let’s make it happen!

Yesterday (10/11) before lunchtime, President Trump in the Oval Office met with football legend Jim Brown and music legend Kanye West.

Lauded as “the greatest professional football player ever,” Jim Brown is now 82 and soft-spoken.  Not so Kanye.  At 41, he’s in his prime, coming from nowhere to being one of “the best-selling music artists of all time,” one of TIME Magazines “100 Most Influential People in the World,” and having a net worth of $150 million earned from his own entrepreneurial genius.

During the meeting with the press surrounding them, Kanye went on an epic pro-Trump rant, another answering a reporter’s question saying Trump is “on a Hero’s Journey,” and ended by giving the President of the United States a huge hug of love and admiration.

It will be hard to overestimate the positive impact of what Kanye said and did on millions of blacks, especially black men, all across America.

The prospect of that sent the libtards at CNN into full racist meltdown, with the dumbest talking airhead on television, Don Lemon actually condemning Kanye as a “token negro” with “serious mental health issues,” and one of the dumbest Dems to ever be in Congress, saying “Kanye West is what happens when negroes don’t read.”

They know full well if even a sizeable fraction of blacks leave the Dem Plantation, much less in droves, the Dem Party’s goose is deep-fried.
