DEMS IN A PANIC

panic-attackPanic makes people stupid – especially if they aren’t too smart to begin with.

The hysterical, hyperbolic, hypocritical and often hilarious efforts of Democrats and the WSM (Waste Stream Media) to prevent publication of the Nunes Memo backfired, bigly.

Victor Davis Hanson summarized in a succinct paragraph why the scandal reported by Reps. Devin Nunes (R-CA) and Trey Gowdy (R-SC) is way worse than Watergate.

“If this is not a scandal, then the following protocols are now considered permissible in American electoral practice and constitutional jurisprudence:

An incumbent administration can freely use the FBI and DOJ to favor one side in a presidential election, by buying its opposition research against the other candidate, using its own prestige to authenticate such a third-party oppositional dossier, and then using it to obtain court-ordered wiretaps on American citizens employed by a candidate’s campaign – and do so by deliberately misleading the court about the origins and authors of the dossier that was used to obtain the warrants.”

Though old news to TTPers, this was the first time millions of Americans heard about FISAgate.

The WSM Lying Swine typically spike news that makes Democrats look bad. If Dems had kept their mouths shut, the MSM likely would have ignored the Nunes Memo.  Instead, they bellowed that publishing it was tantamount to treason.

That piqued the curiosity of millions who otherwise wouldn’t have read the Nunes Memo. When they did, Democrat credibility suffered a self-inflicted wound.

What conceivable argument is there that any part of the Nunes Memo could jeopardize national security?” asked left wing journalist Glenn Greenwald.

You’d think Dems/WSM would learn from experience. They haven’t. Now that the memo’s been published, Democrats say it isn’t true. Rep. Adam Schiff, ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, has written a counter-memo.

BEEG mistake. There’s a mountain of evidence, still classified, that proves what Nunes said is true. By saying it isn’t, Democrats play into the hands of Republicans who want this evidence made public.

If President Trump declassified evidence on his own, he’d be accused of having done so for partisan reasons. But there’s no better way to determine whether Nunes, or Schiff, is telling the truth than to release the underlying documents.

When POTUS does declassify them, he can say he did it to settle the dispute. And when they are made public, Democrat credibility will suffer another self-inflicted wound.

Democrats made vicious personal attacks on Nunes. Another mistake, because Nunes isn’t acting alone. His memo is just the start of a drip drip drip that will become a flood. Discrediting Nunes (which won’t happen) won’t stop that.

Last Friday’s HFR (2/02) outlined the batting order. Nunes leads off, followed by Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA), and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA). DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz bats cleanup.

I watch in slack-jawed admiration as a very stable genius and his allies choreograph release of evidence of the literally unbelievable corruption in his predecessor’s administration.

They’ve figured out how to present this evidence to people with short attention spans, who will not want to believe trusted institutions could get so corrupted.

And they’ve figured out how to bypass the WSM Bodyguard of Liars to get the whole, unvarnished, unspun truth to the people.

The Nunes Memo is short, describes in simple, clear language, without hyperbole, how senior FBI and DOJ officials abused FISA.

Nunes focused on the what, not the why, or who benefited. Most Americans who voted for them aren’t ready, yet, to believe Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama did so many really bad things. Better to start small, work up the food chain. After more disclosures, people will connect the dots themselves.

Grassley’s criminal referral, (mostly) declassified Tuesday (2/6), buttresses the Nunes Memo with additional damning detail. Much of the info in the dossier the FBI relied on to get a FISA warrant was provided by Team Clinton, Grassley indicates.

Why isn’t the Grassley memo front page news?” asked Kim Strassel of the Wall Street Journal. “Because it confirms the Nunes Memo and blows up the Schiff talking points.”

Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis) issued yesterday (2/7) an interim report on the FBI’s “investigation,” such as it was, of the Clinton email scandal.

Chiefly through text messages between Peter Strzok, then the Deputy Asst. Director for Counterintelligence, and his paramour, FBI lawyer Lisa Page, and a detailed timeline, Johnson lays out a seditious conspiracy.

What we are seeing here is a coordinated strategic release of information timed so that the public can absorb it in sequence,” said Trumpsoldier.

The WSM Lying Swine are no more eager to report Johnson’s findings than Grassley’s. But Schiff’s silly counter-memo makes it harder to ignore them.

Expect the white hats to make new disclosures almost every day until the MOAB – the Horowitz report with its 1.2 million pages of documents – drops. The plan is to keep Dems/MSM so busy putting out fires they won’t have time to formulate new narratives.

I think Dems and the WSM are so spooked by what’s coming down the pike they’ve lost their minds. They’re like chimps, flinging feces everywhere to delay disclosures, hoping some will stick somewhere.

They’ve lots to fret about.

*Obama spied on everybody, including Congress and the Supreme Court. He let Hezbollah smuggle drugs and launder money in the USA, so as not to queer the Iran deal.

*Attorney General Sessions is revisiting Hillary’s email scandal (which also implicates Obama), Uranium One, Fast and Furious, Benghazi. He’s investigating “pay to play” when Hillary was Secretary of State, money laundering through the Clinton Foundation.

*And then there are the Awan brothers.

When all the wheels are coming off your trolley, the urge to do something, anything, is very powerful. But as The Gambler told Kenny Rogers, “You have to know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em, know when to walk away, know when to run.”

Democrats have yet to learn when to shut up and lay low. Nor have they learned that telling lies – such as the FBI had sources other than the Steele dossier for its FISA warrant application – that will inevitably, promptly, be exposed makes a bad situation worse.

Almost every day last year, there was a story in the WSM insinuating President Trump had colluded with the Russians, or was obstructing justice.

From this point forward, Democrats, the WSM Lying Swine and deep state corruptocrats will dread the next disclosure, will wake up each morning wondering if today is the day their wrongdoing will be exposed, the day someone will knock on their door with an arrest warrant.

No wonder they’re panicking.  Because they should be.
