A REQUEST FOR PATIENCE

patience-grasshopperThe U.S. government wiretapped former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, CNN said in an “exclusive report” Tuesday (9/19).

Though the CNN reporters danced around it, their report confirms the Obama administration did indeed spy on Team Trump.

This isn’t news. CNN has known this since at least last November. CNN didn’t report it then because CNN is a propaganda arm of the Democrat Party, not a news organization.

What is news is why CNN is reporting it now.

It’s because Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of Team Trump “collusion” with Russia has found bupkis, speculates veteran newsman Don Surber.

CNN wants to provide cover for Mueller, or whoever leaked the story wants to bring him down, Surber thinks.

Most likely, the story is a desperate effort to keep flogging a dead horse. Brian Cates summarizes here why Leftists who count on the special counsel to bring down the president are delusional.

But if the leak didn’t come from a Mueller ally, it “creates a big problem for an investigation already tarred with politics,” Surber said, because “spying on political foes is a huge no-no.”

These are both reasonable hypotheses. But they are diametrically opposed.

If Mueller were wearing waders and carrying a rod and reel, he couldn’t signal more clearly he’s on a fishing expedition. Every lawyer on his staff contributed to Dems. He’s said to be looking into things that have nothing to do with the election, employing Gestapo tactics.

Appearances are deceiving, suspects “Imperator Rex,” an Australian admirer of our president. More important than the day Mueller was appointed, he thinks, is the day before, when Mueller and Trump met privately, ostensibly to discuss the then vacant post of FBI director.

At the meeting, Mueller was given a vision of two futures,” Imperator Rex speculates. “One where his reputation as an apolitical patriot is enhanced… And one where Robert Mueller ‘s reputation is destroyed, his family name cursed, and shamed for generations.”

Mueller chose wisely, Imperator Rex suspects. I encourage you to read his thread carefully. I found it insightful. But it’s just conjecture.

None of us in Flyover Country knows what’s really going on. Especially in the White House of a president who is an earnest student of Sun Tzu. All war is deception.

We can learn certain facts from unclassified sources, place them in context from a study of history, a knowledge of science, our life experiences. Then we can make assumptions about “known unknowns.”

Even the best assumption is just an educated guess. To assume too much makes an ass of u and me.

When making assumptions, we should remember – as the best secretary of defense before Mattis said – the absence of evidence isn’t evidence of absence.

Robert Wray was confirmed as FBI director Aug. 1. I haven’t heard a peep from him since. Perhaps he’s still hanging pictures in his office, finding his way to the rest room and the cafeteria. I’m pretty sure he’s doing something. But I’ve no idea what it is.

Many conservatives want Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired, because he hasn’t indicted Hillary or fired Mueller yet. I think haven’t figured out the Trump-Sessions feud was theater; that the president wouldn’t have gone through that charade without some purpose in mind.

Sessions was a hard as nails U.S. attorney who broke the back of the Klan in Alabama. I suspect that when he has airtight evidence, Sessions will drop the hammer on Antifa, on Dem pols who ordered cops to stand down when Antifa started riots, and on Dem pols involved in the Awan brothers scandal. But that’s just an assumption.

I’m appalled by how many conservatives accept as gospel assumptions made by leftie journos and alt-Right bloggers who care more about click bait than the truth.

A journo tweeted Tuesday a photo of Gen. John Kelly with his face in his hands, claimed it was because he was unhappy with President Trump’s remarks to the UN about North Korea.

How would she know what Kelly was thinking? Trump wasn’t talking about North Korea at the time (10:21 a.m.) when the photo was taken. Do you really think the White House chief of staff hadn’t read the speech before it was delivered?

Just before the photo was taken, the woman seated next to Kelly cut a big “SBD” fart. Kelly wasn’t the only person in distress.  The link is to a Tweet by Gen. Kelly himself.  It’s hysterical.  SBD, by the way, stands Silent But Deadly flatulence.

If you don’t follow the president and his chief of staff on Twitter, you ought to. Scroll through Kelly’s tweets. You’ll see he and the prez are totally in sync on North Korea.  Plus, you may fall out of your chair with his sense of humor.  How about this:

Since there is so much we don’t know (yet), we make assumptions to fill the void. But we should base assumptions on facts and logic, not prejudices.

And we should be patient. All will be revealed in the fullness of time. Here’s more evidence Trump is winning on North Korea and Iran.

The Dems and the Lying Swine will get theirs, too. President Trump – and Generals Mattis, Kelly and McMaster – know you don’t spring the ambush until the enemy is within the kill zone.
