“Is the Pope Catholic?”

All our lives it’s been the standard rhetorical response to any question that obviously should be answered yes. Who ever dreamed it would one day be a real question? That day came yesterday (9/24) with Francis’ ghastly speech to Congress (the link is to the full transcript).

Isn’t he supposed to be the Vicar of Christ? Isn’t the whole point of his church to be about salvation via Jesus? Yet he delivered a boring trite clichéd libtard political diatribe that didn’t mention either “Jesus” or “Christ” once – do a word search in the link and you’ll see.

He’s a “liberation theology” Marxist Poseur Pope with the narcissistic effrontery to lecture us on freedom and opportunity. He didn’t even have the courage to denounce abortion to the Dem proponents of evil incarnate Planned Parenthood sitting right in front of him.

Instead, he used his line about “our responsibility to protect and defend human life at every stage of its development,” as a preface to attack… the death penalty. Yes, he’s so morally concerned about the fate of a handful of murderers on Death Row, but can’t spare a word for the million unborn babies murdered by their own mothers every year.

Then he launches into a panegyric over a radical Hate America admirer of Fidel Castro and Ho Chi Minh, Dorothy Day, infamous for siding with the Japanese for attacking Pearl Harbor.

On December 8, 1941 – one day after the attack – in a speech to the Liberal-Socialist Alliance in New York, she said:

“There is now all this patriotic indignation about the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and Japanese expansionism in Asia. Yet not a word about American and European expansionism in the same area…. You young men should refuse to take up arms. Young women tear down the patriotic posters. And all of you — young and old — put away your flags.”[1]

For years she wrote a column, “On Pilgrimage” for her newsletter Catholic Worker. Here are some quotes:

“We need to overthrow…this rotten, decadent, putrid industrial capitalist system which breeds such suffering.”(September 1956)

“We also know that religion, as the Marxists have always insisted, has, too often, like an opiate, tended to put people to sleep to the reality and the need for the present struggle for peace and justice.” (November 1959)

“I was always much impressed, in reading prison memoirs of revolutionists, such as Lenin and Trotsky … by the amount of reading they did, the languages they studied, the range of their plans for a better social order.” (December 1968)

“If we had had the privilege of giving hospitality to a Ho Chi Minh, with what respect and interest we would have served him, as a man of vision, as a patriot, a rebel against foreign invaders.” (January 1970)

“‘Property is Theft,’ Proudhon wrote — the coat that hangs in your closet belongs to the poor. Property is Theft.” (December 1971)

Naturally, this anti-capitalist wacko fanatic is a hero to the Libtard Left. But for this Poseur Pope to insult our country and our social-economic system that has lifted more people out of poverty than any other nation in history, by holding this woman as a moral icon, is contemptible. No wonder he and Zero get along so well.

The IBD has the best editorial page in the country. It’s take is that Francis’ address was “loaded with left-wing claptrap about social justice, blood money, moral equivalence and environmentalism.” But there was one part that’s hilarious – not intentionally, but for Francis’ ludicrous hypocrisy chastising America for not taking in all the world’s mooching migrants, despite Zero’s best efforts to do so.

That’s because the Vatican – which is a sovereign nation – has the most restrictive immigration policy of any country on earth.

St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican has a capacity of 400,000. We’ll wait until we see Francis set up a tent city there welcoming all the Moslem migrants from Syria et al before we take him seriously.

Of course, the big news – reallllllly big! as Ed Sullivan would say – today is Boehner’s resignation. Let’s not pop any champagne corks just yet, but at the very least this calls for a finger or two of Famous Grouse.

One comment from a Pub Congressista I just talked to: “We didn’t dodge a bullet, we dodged an artillery shell. John’s resigning saved us a terribly destructive battle trying to replace him forcibly. John’s done us a great favor by stepping aside gracefully.”

Further, he said:

“We owe an enormous debt of gratitude to that small group of young activists in the 7^th District of Virginia who launched a campaign to overthrow Eric Cantor last year. They got an unknown college professor, Dave Brat, to run against Cantor in the primary (June 2014), Cantor spent $5 million, Brat 200K, and Brat won by 12 points. Unbelievable. Brat won the general, by the way, and you couldn’t ask for a nicer guy.

“Cantor was incredibly mean and vindictive, just an awful person. He was Majority Leader, and thanks to Brat getting rid of him, Kevin McCarthy replaced him. So thanks to those folks in Culpepper, Virginia, Kevin will now be Speaker instead of Cantor. Shows you how individuals in our country can make a huge difference nationally.”

Good point, but McCarthy’s no shoo-in. While Ryan has said “No!” with no buts, there will be other contenders like Jeb Hensarling given the strength of the Pub’s Texas delegation. A lot of conservatives want Trey Gowdy but he’s not interested. What we need is the guy who comes out on top because he forces a budget bill that defunds Planned Parenthood. It’s going to be an interesting October.

The homosexualization of our military continues. Does anyone think that if it were little girls being raped by heterosexual male perverts, our soldiers would be told to ignore it? When it’s little boys being horribly abused and raped by homosexual male perverts, why, nothing to see here, folks, move along.

Read the stories. They’ll make you sick. This is what Zero has done – on purpose, with malice aforethought – to the finest institution in our nation. The left has always hated the military, and now they’ve found the means to destroy it.

It’s worth revisiting now Terrorism and Tiny Zibbs from September 2003, which explains the relationship between polygamy, slavery, and pederasty in Islam. Pederasty is endemic in many Islamic societies, especially Afghanistan. Thus:

Back to the point, the Army’s treatment of Sergeant 1st Class Charles Martland is immoral. Here is a petition to support him. You can also write to Defense Secretary Ash Carter at the Pentagon and ask he behave morally and reinstate Sgt. Martland.

In the Not All Chinese Are Smart Department this week, and in honor of Chief Chicom Xi Jinping’s visit to the White House today, we bring you the story of Chinese Vice Admiral Yuan Yubai, commander of the People’s Liberation Army Navy’s (PLAN) North Sea Fleet.

At a conference of world navy commanders last week in London, he proclaimed that the South China Sea obviously belongs to China because it’s named the South China Sea. He actually said this.

One attendee could not refrain from asking him at the reception that evening, “Does this mean, Admiral Yubai, that the Indian Ocean all belongs to India or the Gulf of Mexico all belongs to Mexico?” Yubai stomped off in a huff while all around him suppressed their laughter. He was the joke of the conference.

You’ve seen the horror news stories of over 700 Hajj pilgrims in Mecca being trampled to death yesterday (9/24)in a stampede, with close to a thousand injured. This took place in Mina, where the Saudis have built a vast Tent City to house the pilgrims.

The vast majority of pilgrims come during just three days of the year – the 8^th, 9^th, and 10^th days of the twelfth and final month of the Islamic lunar calendar, Dhu al-Hijjah, or “Month of Pilgrimage.” For the rest of the year, the 100,000 luxury air-conditioned tents of Mina, capable of comfortably housing 3 million Moslems, are vacant. This place sits empty for 360 days out of the year. Yet the Saudis refuse to let the hordes of Moslem migrants and refugees from Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan et al stay there. Instead, they’re flooding into Europe – almost all coming through Turkey encouraged by Turkey’s Islamist leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who wants to Moslemize Europe just like his predecessors, the Ottoman Emperors intended.

Of course, the yellow-bellied invertebrates who run the European Union aren’t trying to stop the flood, aren’t threatening military action against Erdogan unless he stops it, aren’t demanding that the Saudis open up Mina to the flood, and are busy demonizing those European leaders like Hungary’s Viktor Orban trying to turn the flood back.

They sure have earned the title of Euroweenies.

It was good to see Marco Rubio respond yesterday (9/24) to Trump’s childish insults, like calling Rubio “sweaty” and “a kid” (Rubio’s 44). Marco explained that Trump always engages in schoolchild personal insults whenever he’s criticized because “he’s a touchy and insecure guy.” Personal attacks are all he knows how to do, since “he can’t have a conversation about policy because, quite frankly, he doesn’t know anything about policy.”

And it was good to see all the conservatives attending the Value Voters Summit in DC today (9/25) boo Trump when he called Rubio a “clown.” Maybe conservatives are tiring of Trump’s 3^rd grade Emotional IQ.

But even better was the wild enthusiasm and repeated standing ovations for the real Conservative Hero in the race for the White House – Ted Cruz.

Here’s the video of his talk this afternoon. You can’t help but love someone with nerve to tell this joke: “President Xi of China is at the White House today. The world press’ attention is focused on this historic meeting between the world’s most powerful Communist… and the leader of China.”

But his message of change, of the rescue of our country, of the rescue of our economy, our culture, our military and national security is of the utmost seriousness. This is a fabulous speech. Cruz is on fire. I couldn’t encourage you more to watch it and consider supporting his candidacy.
