HALF-FULL REPORT 02/14/20

Welcome to the Valentine’s Day HFR!

Today is for celebrating the love and friendship that bless our lives.  A day for feeling an infinite gratitude for having love in our hearts and being fortunate enough to have it returned.

It was Pope Gelasius I who, in 496 proclaimed that February 14 would be the feast day of Saint Valentinus of Rome, as he was martyred on that day in 269 on order of Emperor Claudius II for refusing to renounce Christianity.

Almost nine centuries later, England’s greatest poet of the Middle Ages, Geoffrey Chaucer (ca. 1343-1400), created the tradition of Valentine’s Day celebrating romantic love.  His 1382 poem, Parlement of Foules (Parliament of Fowls or Birds), depicts Nature convening on February 14 a deliberation or parliament of birds to choose their mates:

“For this was on St. Valentine’s Day, when every bird cometh there to choose his mate.”

It’s been celebrated by English poets ever since, with spreading popularity throughout the English-speaking world from the 1600s on, exchanging Valentine cards expressing love and friendship, accompanied with flowers.

What’s fascinating is how in recent times, Valentine’s Day is celebrated worldwide, and not only in Christian countries like throughout South America.  The day is a big deal now in Singapore, Taiwan, and South Korea.  Countless millions celebrate it in China.  As do millions of Moslems from Indonesia to Morocco – although in secret where it’s banned as “anti-Islamic” in Iran, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia.

So as you celebrate this day with those you care for, realize that several billion people all over our planet are doing the very same.  This is indeed a happy day.

Let’s hope that on this day, Democrats and their media poodles will take a break from their TDS, and have moments of happy fulfillment with friends and those they love.  It’s a tragedy – for them as much as for the rest of us – that they will quickly return to their world of hate and rage tomorrow.

You’d think that after the most humiliatingly disastrous week of recent years – last week – they might engage in soul-searching, asking themselves what lessons they need to learn.  But of course they didn’t, doubling down on their TDS instead.

Thus some libtard MSNBC journo on Wednesday (2/12), during a press photo op with Ecuador’s President Moreno, had the temerity to ask POTUS what lessons had he learned from his impeachment.  The answer:

Instantly the entire Libtard Media goes bananas denouncing Trump for having “learned nothing” from his Shampeachment – all the while the Dems are proving his accusation of their being “corrupt and vicious” by instantly creating another phony scandal over Roger Stone’s sentencing.

On Tuesday (2/11) four corrupt DOJ prosecutors quit – and good riddance – when their vicious attempt to imprison an innocent 68 year-old man for nine years failed.  They should be jailed themselves for wanting to put an old man in jail for 9 years for “threatening” to take away someone’s dog.

So of course Pelosi, Schumer & Co start hysterically screaming about impeaching Bill Barr. This in the face of the discovery yesterday (2/13) that Tomeka Hart, the foreman of the jury convicting Roger Stone, is a rabidly biased anti-Trump Democrat.

There’s no question that with this revelation, Stone gets a mistrial.  POTUS should come to Stone’s rescue, as Tucker Carlson and many others are saying, and issue him a pardon without delay.

POTUS learned the right lesson from his witch hunt shampeachment, the Dems and media are incapable of learning any lesson, thus the lesson for us is:

There is no hope whatever of Democrats in Congress and their media acolytes coming to their senses.  They will never stop trying to ruin Trump’s presidency in a constant search for phony “scandals,” excuses for outrage, and demands for a second impeachment.  Never.

There is only one solution: Take back the House in November – in addition to keeping the Senate and the White House.  It will be done with candidates like Claire Chase running against a freshman Dem who barely won a normally Pub district, New Mexico 2 that borders Mexico and Texas.

She’s a self-made businesswoman, a top oil & gas executive, married and mother of two, pro-Trump, pro-2ndA, pro-America, pretty and articulate.  Watch and see why she’ll be part of the House GOP Tsunami of 2020:

Claire is part of the good news why the odds of this November’s GOP Trifecta are rising dramatically.

All the Dems have to offer is anger, hate, outrage, doom and gloom – right in the face of the biggest Blue Collar Boom the US economy has ever seen.

They have no optimism, no joy, no fun, no humor, no love for their country — and no solutions or policies or ideas to show how they would improve people’s lives better than Trump.

They also have no candidates.

Biden – now known as “Fifth Place Joe” after New Hampshire on Tuesday (2/11) – is a dead candidate walking.  Fauxcahontas is toast, having pulled her ads out of Nevada and South Carolina.  We’ll soon be down to the Final Four:  an ancient communist whose initials are BS, a small-town mayor who’s gay with a last name beginning with Butt, a lady wearing a mask of niceness hiding pathological rage, and Mini Mike.

As you know, entire Dem Elite thinks Bernie up against Trump will destroy their party – and what’s more, they may be willing to let him do that if he’s the nominee, for then they will still control the rubble, not Bernie.

About Little Bo Pete – or “Wall Street Pete” as Bernie Bros shout at him – the must-read is Monday’s Yahoo News (2/10): Pete Buttigieg Is Uniquely Disliked by Democrats Across the Spectrum.

Another bullseye on Booty is this in The Federalist yesterday (2/13), where a famous Navy Seal warns him to Stop pretending you were a war hero – you were a war tourist instead.

As my friend from the Reagan days, Ken Khachigian noted in the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday (2/12):

“This Buttigieg kid won’t last very long when the long-distance run shows him to be not Mayor Pete but Meagre Pete—the sort Texans call ‘all hat and no cattle.’ Mr. Buttigieg is a classic young cleverling, a glib and facile tongue who seems authoritative on everything because he excelled at Oxford.”

As you read in yesterday’s TTP, Daniel Henninger observes of both Bernie and Buttigieg:

“One is 78, the other is 38, and both are running on not much more than vague sentiments, levitating themselves above mundane questions of basic competence.  I call it aspirational grandstanding, devoid of any explanation of how their professed goals would be achieved in reality.”

And Mini Mike?  First, there’s a reason POTUS has nicknamed him:

It’s hard to say who the Dem Establishment hates more, Bernie or Bloomie.  Probably Bernie, because they don’t believe Bloomie really can buy the nomination, he’ll do very poorly on the debate stage in Nevada (2/19) and beyond, and the audio advocating police “throw them (black kids) against the wall and frisk them,” has fried him with black voters.

“Stop and Frisk” was Bloomie’s policy when he was NYC Mayor, causing major protests against him:

All these folks are in Oakland where there’s no there there.  The Dems have to nominate somebody by July 16 in Milwaukee, but it’s going to be a farcical dumpster fire all the way.

Meanwhile, Americans say they feel the current economy is the best since the late 1990s.  That’s the Monday (2/10) headline in –prepare yourself – the Washington Post. Even WaPo has to admit a landslide majority (59%) of Americans are optimistic about their and their country’s future.

Which is why vast numbers of Democrats are bailing from their party, cheering at Trump rallies, and voting GOP.  Life-long Dems like Karlyn Borysenko, whose What Happened When a Democrat Went to a Trump Rally  in TTPtoday (2/14) may bring you to tears.

”I started to question everything. How many stories had I been sold that weren’t true? What if my perception of the other side is wrong? How is it possible that half the country is overtly racist? Is it possible that Trump Derangement Syndrome is a real thing, and had I been suffering from it for the past three years?

 

And the biggest question of all was this: Did I hate Trump so much that I wanted to see my country fail just to spite him and everyone who voted for him?

 

I truly believe that it doesn’t matter who the Democrats nominate: Trump is going to trounce them. If you don’t believe me, attend one of his rallies and see for yourself… I think the Democrats have an ass-kicking coming to them in November, and I think most of them will be utterly shocked when it happens.”

The rally Karlyn attended was Monday’s (2/10) in Manchester NH, so large it even blew CBS News away:

No wonder Greg Gutfeld says, “Trump hasn’t got the wind at his back, he’s got a Category 5 hurricane, a million Eric Swalwells farting at the same time.”   Watch at least the first three minutes, you’ll cry laughing.

*Minutes after the Acquitted Forever vote in the Senate, McConnell engineered the confirmation of Judge Andrew Brasher to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

*On Wednesday (2/12), the Senate confirmed four more of Trump’s nominees to federal courts – in Alaska, Missouri, Illinois and New York.

*Coal, Oil & Gas, Oh, My!  The greenie-weenies lose their shorts (lost their minds long ago) as Trump Opens Federal Land in Utah for Energy Production.

*At last, entitlement cuts.  On Monday (2/10): Trump to Propose $4.8 Trillion Budget With Big Safety-Net Cuts.  Of course, it’s DOA with the House Pelosicrats, but it shows what’s coming in Trump’s second term with his own House & Senate.

It is a quick and short devastation of the Left’s War on Normal Humanity.  It’s now on TTP for you, but will affect the thinking of millions via the WSJ.

And will someone please send this Daily Mail story to Faux Saint Greta Thunberg?  The US cut its CO2 emissions more than any other country in the world in 2019.

The US, the EU as a whole, and Japan have big cuts, while the rest of the world – especially China – is responsible for more CO2 plant food (pollution to Greta):

So, Greta – how about a Big Thank You to America?  Now you can shut up lecturing us, and go to China and say How dare you? To Xi Jinping.  Good luck, kid.

This has been a solidly good week for America, but we must close on a somber note.

In the HFR 07/24/15, it was sadly announced that TTP’s beloved Jack Kelly was diagnosed with incurable bone marrow cancer and had six months to live.

Yet he is still alive today, 4½ years later, thanks to his being one tough Marine – and most especially the fervent prayers of so many TTPers that meant so much to him and his wife Pam.

This week, Jack learned that his cancer has returned.  As he begins another round of agonizing chemotherapy, he needs your prayers once again and more than ever.  For when cancer returns, it’s more aggressive than before.  All of TTP is pulling for you, Jack.  Our prayers are with you.
