HALF-FULL REPORT 09/06/19

It’s great to be back in the HFR saddle again.  I am so appreciative of Jack Kelly and Mike Ryan being so capably in my stead for the last three weeks.

What has really blown me away, however, is the reaction of TTPers on the Forum to Mike Ryan’s HFR last Friday (8/30).  It should blow you away too if you haven’t yet immersed yourself in it.

Frankly, it is simply astounding.  The comments of your fellow TTPers are so thought-provoking, incisive, informative, rationally conservative, and stone-cold brilliant that you will simply not find their intellectual equal elsewhere on the Internet.

I implore you to take the time to read them and judge for yourself.  There couldn’t be a better example of the unequaled value of To The Point membership.

One example would be the Forum comment of Skye that’s particularly germane to what is the main news story of this week.

Everywhere you look in the media this week – e.g., Time, The New York Times, The Economist, CNN – you will witness a full court press by the entire Fake News Elite to cram Climate Fascism down the world’s throat.

That includes the ridiculous global UN road show of some 16 year old libtard girl as literally their Poster Child.  Greta Thunberg’s phony stunt of sailing across the Atlantic to avoid flying a fossil-fuel powered airplane – which to sail the boat back to England her sponsors are flying a crew from England to do so – has made her a joke.  That, and every time she opens her mouth, you realize the contents of her brain are a collection of memorized idiotic slogans.

And it includes attributing every storm or fire to our fault for burning up the planet.  A current leftard freakout is all the fires in the Amazon, typified by French President Macron:

As Mike Ryan noted in last Friday’s HFR, NASA refutes Macron’s Amazon eco-hysteria:

“As of August 16, 2019, an analysis of NASA satellite data indicated that total fire activity across the Amazon basin this year has been close to the average in comparison to the past 15 years.”

And references NASA environmental advisor Dr. Jonathan Foley’s observation that the Amazon produces less than 6% of Earth’s atmospheric oxygen, not 20%.  Skye in the Forum, however, points out that even Foley’s number, much less Macron’s is in doubt:

“To say that those lands produce 6% of the Earth’s oxygen is very deceptive because they also consume about 6% of the Earth’s oxygen. 

 

Old growth forests are, by definition, in equilibrium, hence they produce no net oxygen.  For every pound of carbon that they fix by absorbing carbon dioxide and converting it to wood and leaves, they release a pound of carbon as carbon dioxide from dead rotting vegetation and methane from dead vegetation that is rotting under water or being fermented in the guts of termites. 

 

(Termites release at least as much methane as cattle, and for exactly the same reason – microbial fermentation of cellulose in their guts.  Yes, termite farts cause global warming – and so do swamps.)

 

Forests that are being logged for timber have net CO2 uptake, at least for the period that the harvested timber remains unrotted and unburned.  Old growth forests have no net effect on either CO2 uptake or oxygen production because they are in equilibrium.

 

Abandoned farmlands transitioning from grass or crops to shrubs to small trees to medium trees to large trees exhibit net CO2 uptake during this couple of centuries long process.  Precise measurements of CO2 in the air entering the US along the west coast show that it contains significantly more CO2 than the air leaving the US along the east coast – in spite of all the fossil fuel burned in between. 

 

Old farms, east of the Mississippi River and mostly too hilly or rocky for modern large scale mechanized agriculture, are being abandoned, and have very substantial net carbon fixation, and, unless re-cleared, will continue to do so for next couple of centuries.  Because of this, the US is currently a net sink for CO2.”

Note what Skye just did here – with real science, not the science fiction of the eco-fascists.  Since the US land mass is a net sink for CO2, there is no need whatever for any of the radical Green New Deal proposals.  Period full stop.  Game, set, match.

Of course, as TTP has been explaining for years, CO2 – man-made or natural – has nothing to do with “global warming.”

Millions of years of evidence, such as drilled ice cores in Greenland and Antarctica, show that increased atmospheric CO2 comes after as a consequence not a cause of an increase in global temperature.  Oceans absorb CO2, more of it when its colder, and release more of it when it’s warmer – just like bubbles of CO2 coming out of solution in soda water when the pressure is released.

This is not complicated.  Any normal third-grader can get it.  Further, that schoolkid can understand there are two issues involved:  first, is the world warming?— and second, is it our fault?  If the first is true, it does not mean the second is.

Thus, even if it’s true that more CO2 causes more global warming – which we’ve just seen is not the case – that does not mean it’s our fault.  “Greenhouse gases” hold heat in our atmosphere – thank heavens or we’d be as cold as Mars.  What percentage of greenhouse gases in Earth’s atmosphere is CO2?  3.2%.  What’s the rest? Mostly water vapor: 95%.

Daytime temps in Miami can be 90 degrees, and stay stifling at night because it’s so humid, the water vapor holds the heat in.  Daytime temps in Vegas can be 90 degrees, and you need a sweater at night because the desert air is so dry there’s no water vapor to hold the heat in.

But of that 3.2% of CO2 in the Earth’s air, how much is made by us humans?  3.7%.  Multiply 3.7% (0.037) by 3.2% (0.032) and you get 0.001184.  Thus, little more than 1/10^th of 1% of all CO2 in Earth’s atmosphere is man-made (“anthropogenic”).  Us humans are irrelevant to “climate change,” i.e., “weather.”

Let’s go a bit further.  The essence of real science is falsifiability.  Real science starts with a hypothesis, a claim or guess that something is true.  Then you test your guess by trying to prove it’s wrong – and you have to specify just what it would take to disprove or falsify your theory.

Take Einstein.  He made extremely precise predictions that when tested showed he was right.  Yet note how often you read a science news story that they were tested in some new more rigorous way, another effort to falsify him.  So far, those efforts have failed.

So – what efforts have been made by that “consensus” of scientists we’re always hearing about claiming “man-made global warming” is proven to falsify their claim?  How many government grants are awarded every year to do this?  Just about zero.

This is one basic reason why TTP looks upon the claim or theory of man-made global warming as no genuine scientific hypothesis at all capable of falsifiability, but rather a secular religion like Marxism with no basis in reality.  That it is a pseudo-science, the Left’s current replacement for Marxism as a rationale for totalitarian fascist control over everyone’s life (except them, for ruling Lefties intend to do the controlling and are thus exempt from the controls).

This is why we need to unfailingly label their “climate change” as climate fascism, for that’s all it is and nothing more.  And nothing could have shown this more clearly than the pathology of CNN devoting seven straight hours of airtime – 5pm to midnight – on Wednesday (9/04) showcasing the climate fascism of ten Democrat fascisti in a “Climate Crisis Townhall.”

Here they are.  Take a good look at each and realize that without exception they are criminally insane:

Okay, maybe SloJo is an exception as just your standard totally corrupt politician with the added excuse of mental instability morphing into senility, with a brain gushing blood out of his eyes.

There’s a ton of stories lampooning the craziness of what these goofballs said ereyesterday.  Breitbart lists “The Craziest Things Said at the CNN Climate Town Hall.”  The Daily Caller zeroes in on seven, but there were many more.

At Legal Insurrection on the other hand, they were overjoyed, looking at the CNN debacle as a ”Man Made Disaster for Democrats,” a “self-parody of what Green New Deal woke totalitarianism sounds like.”

Yet for all the lampoons, snickers, and disaster-talk, the Dems above and all their ilk are literally deadly serious about imposing an actual real fascist beat-your-head-in thugocracy with Venezuelan-level hunger and mass impoverishment upon the country they hate and mean to destroy – America.

There is only one way to stop them before they seize power with the only solution then to physically implement the constitutional purpose of the 2^nd Amendment.

Which is why the best news of the week is the latest Harvard/Harris poll (8/04), showing that “Most Unpopular 2020 Political Positions Are Increasing Immigration and Giving Illegal Aliens the Vote.”

“American voters are nearly unanimously opposed to giving illegal aliens the right to vote… The vast majority of Americans, 85 percent, said they oppose such a policy, including 80 percent of Democrat voters, 86 percent of swing voters, 75 percent of self-described ‘liberals,’ 77 percent of black Americans, and 73 percent of Hispanic voters. Only 15 percent of Americans said they support giving illegal aliens the right to vote in U.S. elections.”

As we have been hammering away on the fact that the only way a Dem fascisti will win in 2020 is massive voter fraud via illegals spread throughout red states in the millions – and the only way Trump will win in 2020 is to prevent Dem voter fraud with a rigorous Voter ID.

The way for PDJT to do this was first outlined in the 03/08/19 HFR last March.

Step One:  Implement The Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 (IIRIRA), US federal law which has this provision:

 “§ 611. Voting by aliens: (a) It shall be unlawful for any alien to vote in any election held solely or in part for the purpose of electing a candidate for the office of President, Vice President, Presidential elector, Member of the Senate, Member of the House of Representatives, Delegate from the District of Columbia, or Resident Commissioner”  

Step Two: To enable adherence to this law with viable Voter ID, utilize the Real ID Act,  a federal law that sets forth requirements for state driver’s licenses and ID cards to be accepted by the federal government for “official purposes”, as defined by the Secretary of Homeland Security.  Among them are a photo of the card holder and documented proof of US citizenship or legal status in the US.

As the DHS website states:

“Starting October 1, 2020, every state and territory resident will need to present a REAL ID compliant license/ID, or another acceptable form of identification, for accessing Federal facilities, entering nuclear power plants, and boarding commercial aircraft.  This is what we call ‘card-based’ enforcement.  The card, itself, must be REAL ID compliant unless the resident is using an alternative acceptable document such as a passport.”

The key is what constitutes an “official purpose” for which a Real ID proof of citizenship is required.  The Real ID Act – Public Law 109-13 Title II Section 201 (3) – gives this definition:

 “Official purpose.–The term ‘official purpose’ includes but is not limited to accessing Federal facilities, boarding federally regulated commercial aircraft, entering  nuclear power plants, and any other purposes that the Secretary shall determine.”

Note my underline.  The Secretary of Homeland Security, currently Kevin McAleenan (Acting), has unlimited legal authority to require “federal identification” for whatever is deemed an “official purpose” at the direction of his boss President Donald Trump.

 Such as voting in a federal election – from which non-US citizens are prohibited per the IIRAIRA.  And how convenient that every resident in every US state or territory must have a federally compliant Real ID to get on a commercial plane by October 1, 2020 – just in time for the election on November 3.

With voting in a federal election as an official purpose under Real ID law, all those drivers’ ID for illegals that states are issuing as end runs around Real ID would be invalid for voting on in November 2020.  The whole illegal alien vote fraud scam the Dems are planning would die – and with it all Dem hope of defeating The Donald.

The Harvard/Harris poll this week shows how popular preventing illegal alien voter fraud via a Real ID would be.  Cross every finger and toe that PDJT will do just this.

Speaking of Hurricane Dorian – well, we weren’t except that every damaging weather event is no longer caused by nature, as in the past several billion years, but sinful evil us, sayeth the Climate Fascists – it was supposed to slam right into southern Florida on Wednesday (9/04), prompting every Trump-Hater in America to pray for Dorian to bullseye Trump’s Margo-a-Lago in Palm Beach, tearing it to shreds like a shack in the Bahamas.

Internationally this week, on my way back from Pitcairn, I stopped in Melbourne, Australia to see a friend of many years who’s now an advisor to Oz’s new Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, affectionately nicknamed “ScoMo.”

ScoMo has no qualms professing admiration for PDJT.  They’ve met twice, at the G-20 in Osaka last June, and at the G-7 in Biarritz last weekend.  In two weeks (9/20), the President will host a State Dinner for Prime Minister Morrison in the White House.

Their friendship and solid relationship is part of an emerging global alliance POTUS is developing with key world leaders.  Among them are, in addition to ScoMo, Japan’s Shinzo Abe, Brazil’s Jair Bolsonaro, Italy’s Matteo Salvini, Poland’s Andrzej Duda, Egypt’s Fattah el-Sisi, and Israel’s Bibi Netanyahu.

The President is working on developing the same relationship with India’s Narender Modi, and is exploring the possibility of one with Ukraine’s new president, Volodymyr Zelensky.

As one of the world’s most astute international businessmen for decades, Trump’s wisdom in foreign relations should come as no surprise.  Trump-Haters will remain willfully and resolutely blind to it of course.
