In less than seven months, four foul-mouthed radicals newly elected to Congress, with the combined IQ of a woodchuck, have become the face of the Democrat party.

No wonder Nancy Pelosi starts drinking early in the morning.

The massive attention given to their news conference Monday (7/15) confirmed the ascendancy of what they call “the squad,” what Sean Davis dubbed the Mean Girls Commie Caucus.

seandavis-tweetwhats-happeningFor Democrats, it was a disaster.

*When asked to condemn al Qaida, Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN), the Somali refugee who married her brother, refused.

*Neither the Airhead of Congress nor Rep. Ayanna Pressley (MA), would criticize the attempt of an Antifa loon to firebomb an ICE facility in Washington state.

The Twitter darlings did such a horrific job at their press conference that Twitter suppressed their hashtag,” noted Shem Horne.

The Jihad Squad held their news conference to call President Trump a racist for saying those who don’t like America could leave.

That epithet has lost its bite, thanks to grotesque overuse. A few days before their news conference, AOC implied Pelosi was racist.

Occasional-Cortex responded to a rare criticism from the Speaker.

Pelosi was trying to put some distance between House Democrats and the radical fringe.

This poll of swing voters taken in May for the leftist Webzine Axios explains why. Only 22 percent of respondents had a favorable opinion of Ocasio-Cortez, just 9 percent thought well of Omar.

defining-democratsIf all the voters hear about is AOC, it could put the House majority at risk,” a ‘top Democrat’ told Axios. “She’s getting all the news and defining everyone else’s races.”

AOC, Omar, Tlaib and Pressley are getting a lot more attention now.

Pelosi must temper her criticisms of “the squad,” or be complicit in the harassment they receive, said Rashida Tlaib.

rashida-warns-pelosi

The Speaker needs to do more to elevate “women of color” within her caucus, Tlaib said during an interview on CBS broadcast Wednesday morning (7/17).

Omar, for one, may come to regrether heightened profile.

There’s so much evidence she broke the law multiple times even the Minneapolis Star-Tribune had to acknowledge it.

After Trump criticized the Mean Girls (without mentioning their names), Pelosi felt compelled to defend them. If she hadn’t, her moonbat base would have had a hissy fit.

“Nancy was driving a wedge and Trump came in like a meteor of super glue,” said Joestradamus.

The dumpster fire burned hotter Tuesday (7/16) when Pelosi introduced a resolution condemning Trump’s “racist” tweets.

House rules forbid calling Members or the president “racist,” noted Republican Doug Collins (GA). He asked that her words be “taken down.”

The parliamentarian ruled in his favor.

Pelosi stormed off the House floor (violating another House rule). Democrats voted to ignore the rules, so the resolution could go forward.

Democrats vote to break House rules and decorum so that they can call Trump out on decorum. Surreal,” said Kim Strassel.

****

Pelosi introduced the resolution to put pressure on Republicans to criticize Trump. Only these four voted for it.

Republican support for Trump rose after his tweets, according to this Reuters-Ipsos poll.

Criticism of their views is racist, say AOC, Omar, Tlaib and Pressley. Now all House Dems agree.

Calling them Communists is racist too, said AOC.

It’s evident who runs the House now.

President Trump wants to define the 2020 election as a contest between those who love America and those who hate her.

This video put out by the Trump campaign Wednesday (7/17) has a gazillion page views.

Makes the Odd Squad look evil and petty without even referring to them, said Larry Schweikart.

Unseen1 has an insightful thread on how the video fits into Trump’s strategy.

Trump took the Jihad Squad to the woodshed during his rally in Greeneville North Carolina Wednesday night (7/17).

When the president mentioned Omar, the crowd chanted: “Send her back.”

Which gave the vapors to ABC News correspondent Sunny Hostin and Obama speechwriter Jon Favreau.

jon-favreau-tweet

Faux angst over the chant will backfire because it draws more attention to Omar and her pro-terrorist, anti-Semitic views.

candace-owens-tweet

Omar acknowledged yesterday (7/18) the chant wasn’t racist.

If there was a Somali person wearing a MAGA hat, they would not be deported,” she said. “But because I criticized the president, I should be deported.”

Don’t send Omar back. We need her here, writes Curtis Ellis.

****

As per usual, the crowd in Greeneville was huge (8,000 inside, 12,000+ outside) and enthusiastic.

Trump’s rallies are so popular, you need a ticket to attend one. Which gives campaign manager Brad Pascale an invaluable list for fund raising, and for GOTV.

“The president won this one,” gloomy House Dems conceded to CNN’s Jake Tapper.

Seth J. Levy’s masterful summaryof how, with a few tweets, Trump destroyed a Democrat narrative months in the making is a must read.

****

To show there is a limit to their suicidal stupidity, most Dems voted to table Wednesday (7/17) Rep. Al Green’s bill to impeach President Trump.

chaos-actualThat moment of sanity passed quickly. The House also voted Wednesday to hold Attorney General Bill Barr and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross in criminal contempt, for not supplying documents about a citizenship question on the census.

The measure goes to Barr to enforce.

Planned Parenthood’s board fired president Leana Wen Tuesday (7/16). One of the complaints about Wen, a doctor, is she wouldn’t say men can have abortions too.

Jeffrey Epstein was denied bail Thursday (7/18), ostensibly because he’s a really bad guy, and a flight risk. But for his own protection too, I suspect. A lot of powerful people wish he were dead.

Elites in New York and Washington D.C. brace for impact as disclosure of who partied with him is imminent.

It’s going to be staggering, the amount of names,” a person involved in litigation against Epstein told Vanity Fair. “It’s going to be contagion numbers.”

They’re sweating what’s in some 2,000 pages of documents from a defamation lawsuit filed against Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s chief pimp.

The 2ndCircuit Court of Appeals ordered their release July 3. It could happen any day now.

It could be a while before more big news breaks from SDNY. When it does, it likely will be indictments of public officials – in DOJ and Florida – who let Epstein skate in 2007.

The sheriff of Palm Beach County has begun an internal investigation into how the Epstein case was handled, the Miami Herald reported today (7/19).

****

An indictment of Lebanese businessman George Nader, Bill Clinton pal and Team Mueller witness, for child pornography and human trafficking was unsealed in the Eastern District of Virginia today (7/19).

****

NBC News dredged up for Morning Joe Wednesday (7/17) video of Trump and Epstein dancing with (adult) young women at Mar a Lago in 1992.

The girls were cheerleaders for the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins.

Morning Joe didn’t mention the footage was staged for an NBC show; that Epstein was invited… by NBC.

The USS Boxer, an amphibious assault ship, shot down an Iranian drone that came threateningly close Thursday (7/18). Here’s President Trump’s statement about it:

The IRGC seized a British-flagged oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz today (7/19).

****

An Iranian cargo ship purportedly carrying “food products” was found to be carrying Saba missiles and launchers when it was inspected in Antwerp.

The discovery severely harmed the mullahs’ efforts to get European support for relief from economic sanctions.

The Europeans have brought their embassies in Iran to a half-closed status, and Tehran’s relations with its most important allies have come to a near halt,” said “Heshmat Alawi” (a pseudonym).

Curiously (or not), there’s been no MSM coverage of this.

Google should be investigated for treason because of its work for the Chinese military, venture capitalist Peter Thielsaid Monday (7/15).

Thiel is right, said Richard Clarke, who was Obama’s cybersecurity chief.

Google stock plunged Tuesday (7/16) after President Trump tweeted this:

investigate-google

At a Cabinet meeting later that day, the president said the Justice Department and other federal agencies should “take a look” at Thiel’s charges.

Google’s work with the Chinese military is eroding the U.S. military advantage, Gen. Joseph Dunford, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told Congress in March.

****

Through “bias and search results,” Google influenced at least 2.6 million votes for Hillary in 2016, Dr. Robert Epstein told the Senate Judiciary Committee Wednesday (7/17).

Dr. Epstein voted for Hillary, but is “deeply dismayed” Google deceptively manipulated millions to vote for her, said Sen. Ted Cruz. Here’s Dr. Epstein’s statement.

Speaking at an AARP event in Des Moines Monday (7/15), Slow Joe Biden plagiarized Obama’s most famous lie.

Aside from the graft, of course, it’s easy to see why Biden is so fond of the Chinese. They steal our Intellectual Property. He’s been stealing the words of others ever since college.

Judge Emmet Sullivan ordered Michael Flynn’s former attorneys (from Covington & Burling, where Eric Holder is a partner) to come to a special hearing Aug. 27. An ethics expert for the DC bar also will be present.

Judge Sullivan ordered the hearing after Flynn’s new counsel complained the former attorneys hadn’t turned over all their files (as they are required to do).

There is no good reason to bring in the DC bar’s senior ethics counsel if the judge isn’t planning to destroy some lawyers,” said Dawson S. Field.

The Covington & Burling lawyers may have been part of a conspiracy (with prosecutors and the original trial judge) to get Flynn to plead guilty, Field suspects.

In another courtroom Tuesday (7/16), another former Flynn lawyer (also from Covington & Burling) testified for the prosecution in the trial of Flynn’s former business partner Bijan Kian for violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

Was that lawyer (Rob Keiner) batting for the other team all along?” wondered Brian Cates.

The prosecution’s case is weak, the trial judge said Thursday (7/18).

“There are very substantial issues as to the sufficiency of the evidence,” Judge Anthony Trengasaid. “It’s all very, very circumstantial. Much of it is very speculative.”

The Southern District of New York has concluded its investigation of possible violations of campaign finance laws related to the Michael Cohen case, with no charges.

SDNY was investigating whether reimbursing Cohen for payments he made to Stormy Daniels and a former Playboy model to sign NDAs was an in kind contribution.

It wasn’t, SDNY concluded. CNN, MSNBC and Seth Abrahamson – who wrote a 338-tweet thread explaining why SDNY would be the downfall of the evil Drumpf —  were hardest hit.

Here’s a list of all the things the Lying Swine told us would be the end of Trump.

Mexican drug lord El Chapo was sentenced to life imprisonment Wednesday (7/17), ordered to forfeit $12.6 billion. That’s enough to pay for the border wall.

President Trump plans to move the Bureau of Land Management to Grand Junction, Colorado.

Miss World America stripped their Miss Michigan, Kathy Zhu, of her title because she refused to put on a hijab.

****

Bernie Sanders demands Congress pass a $15 an hour “living wage,” but won’t pay his campaign workers that.

First they came for our guns. Now leftists want to take away our toilet paper, “particularly the pillowy soft kind.”

What a miserable horrible no-good rotten disastrous week
, Nancy Pelosi must think as she pours herself another.

The MSM have done her no favors by lavishing attention on the Jihad Squad, who are enjoying their 15 minutes of fame way too much

They’re emboldened, will say and do even more radical things, Nancy muses as she chugs her drink. Omar and Tlaib plan to introduce an anti-Semitic resolution likening Israel to Nazi Germany. God knows what they’ll do after that.

The Jihad Squad is poison in all but a handful of deep blue districts, but it’s too late to put distance between them and the rest of the caucus, Pelosi reflects, bitterly, as she reaches for the bottle.

Curse you, President Trump, for maneuvering me into defending them!

Then that idiot Al Green introduces his impeachment resolution, which we had to vote down because nothing could kill the Party dead faster than actually impeaching the president.

So now moonbats snipe at me for being all talk, no action. Thanks for nothing, Al, Nancy thinks as she notes, sadly, that her bottle is nearly empty.

We may look back on this week as the week Republicans reclaimed the House of Representatives – and the week Pelosi pickled her liver.

That’s a wrap for this HFR. Jack Wheeler will be back next week.

Jack Kelly is a former Marine and Green Beret, and was the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force during the Reagan Administration.  Until his retirement in January 2017, he was the national security writer for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
