REVENGE OF THE NERDS

survive-treasonHi y’all,

Tex wishes he had better news on the censorship front since my last column, “They Must Be Stopped”, but as predicted it’s only gotten worse.

Like the movie referenced in this column’s title, it’s as if the increased censorship by Big Tech is like “Revenge of the Nerds” writ large.  The “freaks” we all knew in high school that never fit in have aligned themselves with the popular kids, to form an unholy alliance against those that never accepted them.

Indeed, I’ve sat down to write this column at least 5 times in the last few weeks, but each time the number of people “unpersonned” from the dominant social media “platforms” had increased.

These individuals have included everyone from a 14-year old reincarnation of Ayn Rand (Jack Wheeler’s assessment of her) nicknamed Soph”, to the permanent ban of Paul Joseph Watson from Facebook, to removing Laura Loomer’s ability to even use Uber or order food with Grubhub.

Only after intense shaming and ridicule of the waste of Internet bandwidth known as Buzzfeed’s hit piece on Soph, did the soyboy nerds at YouTube relent.

It is happening as outlined here at TTP, and just as Allum Bokhari recently did at Breitbart.

There’s even been a full-length movie produced about many of the people mentioned in these columns!  Check out You Can’t Watch This.

Since the pace of censorship has accelerated faster than Tex can empty his six-gun, I’ve decided to take a different approach:

A scoop from the inside of one of these tech giants.

The goal is to help TTP’ers really understand the level of Leftism that has infected the industry and why every rational conservative needs to be vocal against even the smallest action of censorship against anyone, Left or Right, in any capacity.

Below are pictures taken by a fellow cowboy of Tex’s from inside a company that many younger folks forget about:  Microsoft

come-as-your-are
These are taken from the lobby of a building in their headquarters near Seattle, in plain view for both employees and visiting customers to see.

Now Tex takes a libertarian view on the whole alphabet soup group of folks.  To me, whatever someone wants to do as long as it doesn’t affect other people’s rights is fine and government should stay out of it.

But that’s not the messaging in these posters; it’s advocating for LGBTQIAA++etc employees to the exclusion of others, unless you become and “ally”.  According to Tex’s source, HR policy now mirrors their Marxist CEO Satya Nadella’s public statement:

“In addition, all our managers will prepare for the rewards process with enhanced training that includes guidance on advancing and rewarding people for supporting our inclusion priority.  If you are a manager at Microsoft, you are making a conscious choice and commitment to raising your hand to curate our culture…if you [all employees] are not helping to create an inclusive culture, your rewards, career trajectory, and possibly your employment will be impacted.”

So in other words, if an employee isn’t vocally coming out as a “ally”, or as a Trans-gendered, Two-Spirited, Muslim, Disabled Female you are now officially on notice that this could affect his/her/zhe?’s career.

Tex has dared his buddy to dress like the guy in the cape at work, and will share pictures should this ever occur.  His buddy’s response?

“I’d probably be applauded for my ‘courage’ ala Caitlyn Jenner, but the real dare would be to wear a Trump 2020 shirt and MAGA hat.  That would be the test, that they’d fail, of whether or not they really want diversity and inclusivity.”

Tex is also quite sure a poster inviting people to a Trump Rally or an GOP event wouldn’t have the same “inclusive” reaction.

Now check this bit of Cultural Marxist propaganda located on Microsoft’s internal network:

marxist-propaganda-in-microsoft
“Hey, Tex.  How about they just buy a damned ticket and stop being free-loaders!”

Well, I can’t say I disagree, or at least someone in the crowd has the right to choose on their own, without compulsion from a Leftist mob to buy them some tickets out of charity.

But of course, that’s not the point.   It’s about Equality of Outcome = Equity.

“Now Tex is that really what they’re getting at?  Maybe they’re just good folks trying to help the less fortunate.”

Well observant TTP’ers will notice the source of this propaganda, an organization with the Orwellian name of the “Interaction Institute for Social Change”.  It’s always amazing how the Left can so twist language as to be unintelligible to anyone not as “woke” as they are.

From their web site:

“We will innovate at the intersection of equity, networks, and love, with racial equity as our core strategic focus. We believe that racial equity is a critical driver of transformational collaboration in this era. At this point in society, with fascism on our doorstep and white supremacy in our White House, we cannot be neutral about addressing racism…

  • Power: We focus on building the power of those on the margins – their capacity to bring about positive change – so that new ways of working and living that model mutuality, respect and justice can emerge.
  • Equity: We work to expose and challenge systems and processes that produce inequitable outcomes.
  • Inclusion: We strive to ensure that individuals and groups who are most affected or are typically left out are meaningfully engaged in decisions that affect their lives.”

Oh Tex is sure these are just fiiiine folks.  Can’t wait to have them over at my next Vegan soy ribs BBQ!  Imagine for a moment if someone posted on Microsoft’s intranet a poster from a pro-Brexit site?  Or something from the Hoover Institute or the Heritage Foundation?  Somehow the mantra of “Inclusion” wouldn’t apply in that case.  That’d be Wrongthink that the NPC mobs couldn’t handle.

“So Tex.  Everything you’re pointing out is internal stuff to Microsoft and maybe other Left-coast tech companies.  I get that censorship is a problem on social media, but I don’t care about that stuff.  Don’t use it, so why should I care?”

That’d be a valid point except for two reasons.

First, the censorship is extending out from the virtual world to the real one, with HR departments, payment processors, banks, and more becoming “woke” activists as more brainwashed Millennials enter the workforce (wokeforce?).

And second, the same Artificial Intelligence algorithms used to finger-wag at posts Lefties don’t like on social media is being extended to things as innocuous as word-processing.

Really.

Check out this video from Computing Forever regarding Microsoft’s new “feature” to use AI to ensure your writing in Word is more “inclusive.”

As he states, I can’t think of anything more, literally out of Orwell’s playbook than a computer system being used to change the Overton Window of “acceptable” speech by limiting and changing the vocabulary of its users.  Truly sick.

In the last insider’s example, no Leftist indoctrination and virtual signaling would be complete without a shout-out to Microsoft’s favorite belief system of Islam:

microsofts-favorite-belief
Tex’s buddy said “I must have just missed the announcement on Lent in my busy email.”

Riiiight.

The bizarre alliance between the Left and Islam is a topic for more learned TTP contributors to address – e.g., see Jack’s Marx and Mohammed (Sep. 2005) but it’s apparently alive and well in Big Tech.

Can you imagine if there was a Mormon group at Microsoft sending out announcements about their beliefs?  Baptists?  Any other kind of religion other than maybe Wiccans?

”So what can we do, Tex?”

Well, first we must encourage more people on the inside to let it be widely known that anyone right-of-Occasional Cortex has their career at risk at these tech companies, which explains the arrogant and elitist attitudes against any ideology outside of the leftist orthodoxy.

Whistleblowers like the female Microsoft manager who leaked screen shots of an internal message board where she openly challenged, at great risk to her livelihood, the blatantly racist policies of her executive management need to be encouraged.

Unlike James Demore’s infamous memo at Google, the MSM mostly buried this story because the person saying many of the same things as James is a woman.  Check out this video, also from Computing Forever, on the dirty details.

Second, all TTP’ers need to get the word out to their friends and family, no matter their ideology, of quickly rising alternative platforms; and start using them!

For example, I’ve tried in this article to use Bitchute instead of PooTube whenever possible.  And unlike PooTube, you can contribute directly to those you’d like to support.  No need for other Leftist institutions like Patreon or PayPal.

Here’s a great chart that summarizes the main alternatives to the current tech giants (Tex says current, because he believes at least one of the new services is going to be big.  Very big.  And those that struggle will merge to form ones that will thrive.)

end-censorship-promotion
Third, consider replacing as much of the “stack” of your computing as possible with alternatives.

This stack is everything from the Operating System (OS) you’re running, such as MacOS, Windows, Android, etc., the browser that you use on top of the OS, your email service, etc.

For example, you could go all the way and load a flavor of Linux on your PC like Ubuntu, use a browser like Brave (or the browser from Gab that will integrate their out-of-band comment section for the Internet called Dissenter), and use a secured email service like ProtonMail.

Admittedly, Tex still uses his iPhone, and is ironically typing this article on a Windows PC with Word.  But I’m in the process of moving to many of these alternatives above the OS level, and would encourage at least this level of migration for every person that cares about freedom.

Until market and mind share start to decline for the current dominant platforms, along with a rise of liberty-minded alternatives, they will continue their war against common sense and free speech.

Or is there another way?

To close, our President hasn’t been sitting on his laurels, and it’s clear Don Jr. is passionate about this issue.  As a result, the White House on May 15 setup a web site for average people to report how they have been censored by Big Tech.

The clear plan is that the public will more likely take notice of what PMSNBC calls an “alt-right conspiracy theory” if more than a few people saying things the Left doesn’t like have been silenced.

Having received countless thousands of responses, the site is now closed.  It will be interesting to see what the White House does next.

Tex’s small-government, laissez-faire tendencies bristle in most cases when there’s talk of regulating private businesses.  However, our laws and that philosophy could never have imagined a scenario where most discourse would occur in a virtual world, which is controlled by a handful of large companies.

It is the cyber-equivalent of “Marsh v. Alabama, 326 U.S. 501 (1946)” where SCOTUS declared the following when a private company had taken over ownership of the public square:

“2. Whether a corporation or a municipality owns or possesses a town, the public in either case has an identical interest in the functioning of the community in such manner that the channels of communication remain free.

3. People living in company-owned towns are free citizens of their State and country, just as residents of municipalities, and there is no more reason for depriving them of the liberties guaranteed by the First and Fourteenth Amendments than there is for curtailing these freedoms with respect to any other citizen.”

It is time for the President to reclassify all social media companies from their current status as a “Platform” to a “Publisher”.  The difference is explained very well here by Stephen Crowder:

Forgive the PooTube link, as Steve hasn’t seen the light yet to dual publish his content.  He may now, that YT has “demonetized” him.

But the short story is a publisher is liable for what they do to the users of its service and the content that it holds.  As such, if they intend to remain headquartered in the USA, they have to abide by our laws, namely the First Amendment.

So folks let’s make some noise!  Get out there and try new things, new services, new products; and encourage our President and other lawmakers to take action before it’s too late.

Until next time, see you all on the Forum!
