HALF-FULL REPORT 05/24/19

Late last night (5/23) President Trump issued an executive order authorizing Attorney General Bill Barr to declassify documents pertaining to the origins of Spygate.

The EO makes it clear Barr can override objections to declassification from others in the Intelligence Community. Agency heads are directed to “quickly and fully” comply with Barr’s requests.

Barr’s authority to investigate spying on 2016 presidential campaigns is plural. We’ll learn Trump wasn’t the only candidate spied on. If Bernie Sanders was one of the others, there’ll be Hell to pay in the Democrat primaries.

The shrieks of terror and howls of pain from those who fear exposure were schadenfreudelicious.

“Fats” Nadler appeared to pass out during a news conference today (5/24).

Trump and Barr are conspiring to “weaponize law enforcement and classified information against their political enemies,” said Rep. Adam Schiff.

Gee, I wonder if any other president has ever done that.

To Schiffless, “yesterday classification was a coverup. Today, declassification is a coverup.” That must make even moonbat heads spin.

Don’t expect a document dump. Barr will declassify docs only if public disclosure will not jeopardize prosecutions.

An NBC reporter asked President Trump a snarky question about “treason” yesterday (5/23). If I were a coup plotter, I’d be terrified by his response.

Trump doesn’t understand what treason is, NBC said. The Hell he doesn’t.

The Justice Department added 17 more counts Thursday (5/23) to the indictment of Julian Assange for “illegally obtaining, receiving, and disclosing classified information.”

The superseding indictments were made under the Espionage Act, which sent shivers down the spines of “journalists” who collaborated with coup plotters.

Assange claimed to have been acting as a journalist when Wikileaks published classified documents he’d helped Chelsea Manning obtain.

No journalist has ever been prosecuted under the Espionage Act, passed a few months after we’d entered World War I. Violations can be punished by up to 20 years in prison.

Brian Cates explains here why the Pentagon Papers precedent provides no comfort to presstitutes who knew they were promoting a hoax.

British Prime Minister Theresa May announced today (5/24) she will resign on June 7, after President Trump’s state visit. Evidently she won’t be missed.

May’s announcement followed elections in Britain yesterday (5/23) for the European Parliament. The results won’t be made public until Sunday (5/26), after all EU countries have voted. But exit polls indicate the brand new Brexit Party won a smashing victory.

May is resigning chiefly because of her failure to achieve a British exit from the EU, but some suspect forthcoming disclosure of British spying on Trump during his campaign for president may also be a factor.

Trump has asked that Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage be invited to the state banquet the queen will hold for him.

If May is replaced by a Brexit supporter – such as former Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson – Parliament probably can’t block a No Deal Brexit.

In what was, according to pollsters, a “smashing upset victory,” the center-right government of Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison  was re-elected Saturday (5/18).

Morrison’s Liberal-National coalition won 78 seats in Australia’s parliament, a gain of 4, enough to form a government without seeking another partner.

Labour won 67 seats, a loss of 2. Minor parties and Independents won 6 seats.

Morrison won because Labour moved too far left. Labour leader Bill Shorten campaigned on his version of a “Green New Deal.” For many blue collar workers, that meant fewer jobs and higher taxes.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a “right-wing populist,” won a mammoth re-election victory Wednesday (5/22)

As tensions with Iran simmer, President Trump is sending 1,500 more troops to the region. They are for force protection only, are not – as numbnuts Left and Right assert — a buildup for a ground war.

A militia controlled by the mullahs fired a Katushya rocket and some mortar rounds at the U.S. embassy in Iraq last Sunday night (5/19). They missed.

Administration officials briefed Members of Congress on the threat from Iran Tuesday (5/21).

Curiously, House Democrats invited former CIA Director John Brennan to brief them on Iran that day. Brennan has no security clearance. Was he there to tell Dems how to defend the mullahs?

Fish, or cut bait on impeachment, a righteously peeved President Trump (in effect) told House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Wednesday (5/22).

An hour before she was due at the White House to talk about infrastructure, San Fran Nan told reporters “we believe the president of the United States is engaged in a coverup.”

When she and Senate Democrat leader Chuck Schumer arrived at the White House, the president threw them out, held an impromptu news conference in the Rose Garden to explain why.

He wants to work with Democrats on an infrastructure bill, Trump told Pelosi. But until she stops these “phony investigations,” he’s done with her.

Trump walked into the room, said his piece to Schumer, Pelosi and the others assembled in the room, then as Pelosi began talking, he turned on his heel and walked out,” reported Fox News correspondent John Roberts.

San Fran Nan appeared stunned by the president’s reaction. When reporters asked why, if she thinks Trump is covering up, she isn’t going forward with impeachment, she fled.

Pelosi hasn’t gone forward because she knows most Americans oppose impeachment, a majority that will grow larger as evidence of the coup plot is declassified.

A Senate trial would be broadcast live, millions would watch, President Trump could present evidence of his innocence, and of Democrat guilt, unfiltered and uncensored by the Lying Swine.

Impeachment would be political suicide, Pelosi knows. But she’s under heavy pressure from the lemming Left in her caucus; from Dem candidates for president; from her moonbat base (which threatens to primary Dems who don’t vote for impeachment); from moneybags such as Tom Steyer, and from the Lying Swine.

Now that Trump has, figuratively speaking, slapped Dems in the face with his gauntlet, that pressure may grow.

After Mueller reported no collusion, the smart play for Dems was to drop the investigations, make deals on infrastructure etc. so they’d have something positive to talk about before the election.

It’s too late now. Dropping the fishing expeditions would be seen as surrender to Trump. If they fish, or if they cut bait, Democrats are royally screwed.

In desperation, Pelosi has adopted a NATO strategy (No Action, Talk Only). She and her minions will accuse Trump of impeachable offenses, but say there isn’t enough evidence yet to start impeachment proceedings.

In pursuit of that nonexistent evidence, “Fats” Nadler, Schiffless, et al will subpoena witnesses already interviewed by Team Mueller; howl “obstruction,” and “coverup” when they don’t appear.

One who won’t get a subpoena is Special Counsel Bob Mueller, because Dems know he’ll support the conclusions in his report, say Attorney General Barr’s summary of it was accurate.

To make her No Action, Talk Only strategy more palatable to moonbats, Pelosi said Thursday (5/23) – that Trump wants to be impeached (he does).

Will it work?

There is not a straight answer coming from the Speaker,” said a CNN talking head after her news conference.

When it will be most embarrassing for Dems to have their narratives blow up in their faces, Sen. Lindsey Graham will ask Mueller to testify.

Evidence-free innuendo from Democrats soon will be overcome by declassification of Spygate documents, the DOJ IG report, indictments. Dems will be too busy playing defense to keep hunting witches.

During this interview yesterday, Pelosi looked like she wished she’d had another vodka before stepping up to the mic. If I were her, I wouldn’t want to face what’s coming cold sober either.

Judges Amit Mehta and Edgardo Ramos, Obama appointees both, ordered President Trump’s financial records turned over to Congress, refused to stay their orders while Trump’s lawyers appeal.

This is a blatantly political abuse of judicial authority, but I don’t think the president minds very much.

Trump is the most thoroughly vetted president ever. He has nothing to fear from disclosure of his tax returns.

When Democrats talk about his tax returns, they aren’t talking about issues voters care about.

Dems may soon regret the precedent they set. What’s to stop Republican Senators from subpoenaing their financial records?

House Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings should be especially wary. An ethics watchdog group accused his wife, Maya Rockymoore, Monday (5/20) of receiving an “illegal private benefit” from companies who have business before his committee.

Progressives call for a purge of pro-life Democrats. That’s a BEEG mistake.

Less than one tenth of one percent of abortions are because of rape or incest, a threat to the health of the mother, or serious fetal abnormality.

A Harris poll conducted for The Hill newspaper found 21 percent of registered voters think “heartbeat” laws are “too lenient,” 30 percent said they’re “just right,”

45 percent think they’re “too restrictive.”

Polls of registered voters oversample Democrats.

Twenty seven percent of voters aged 18-34 think “heartbeat” laws are “too lenient,” which should alarm Democrats. The youth cohort is the most pro-life of all age demographics. Abortion is the issue most likely to turn them away from Dems.

A Marist poll in January indicated 55 percent of respondents consider themselves “pro-choice.” But 61 percent of those who said they’re “pro choice” think abortion should be sharply restricted after the first trimester (12 weeks).

Just 25 percent of respondents think abortion should be legal after the first trimester, only 15 percent think women should be able to get an abortion “at any time during pregnancy.”

Less than one tenth of one percent of abortions are because of rape or incest, a threat to the health of the mother, or serious fetal abnormality, the usual excuses given by supporters of late term abortion.

The Marist poll is of “adults,” which skews more heavily Democrat than do polls of RVs.

Another Marist poll a month later found 80 percent of respondents think most abortions should be banned after the first 12 weeks, an increase of 5 percentage points over the January poll.

Leading the “dramatic shift” were Democrats under the age of 45, said Barbara Carvalho, who directed the poll.

Why the dramatic shift?

Between the two polls, Virginia Gov. Coonman’s support for infanticide, and New York’s new law permitting abortion up to the moment of birth were much in the news. It seems the more Dem pols talk about abortion, the more appalled ordinary Americans get.

Sleepy Creepy Joe Biden just can’t help himself. The “formal” launch of his campaign in Philadelphia Saturday (5/18) – after two weeks of campaigning – began with this pre-arranged hug from his wife, Jill.

Watch as Joe’s hands drift down towards her buttocks, she grabs his wrists, pulls his hands away, bolts off the stage:

Impeaching President Trump became “bipartisan” Saturday (5/18) when Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) came out for it.

Nominally a Republican who calls himself a libertarian, Amash’s voting record indicates he is neither. What Amash really is is a tool of China. And a friend of the Muslim Brotherhood. The Freedom Caucus agrees.

Amash will be primaried by State Rep. Jim Lower. President Trump is very popular in Amash’s district, which bodes well for the challenger.

Creepy Porn Lawyer Michael Avenatti was indicted Wednesday for stealing $300,000 from a book advance for Stormy Daniels to make a monthly payment on his Ferrari.

Earlier this year Avenatti was indicted in New York for trying to extort $20 million from Nike, in Los Angeles on 36 counts of tax fraud, perjury, and theft from clients.

Remember when CNN’s Brian Stelter and others in the MSM boosted the Creepy Porn Lawyer for president? Avenatti 2020 has morphed into Avenatti 20 to life.

There’s more, but I’m running way too long to get to it this week. See you next week with what I expect will be even more good news.
