August 15, 2018: Clapper: Trump revoking Brennan’s security clearance is an ‘infringement’ on free speech

In the middle of August when the primary concern of most folks is whether the inside of their forearms is as tanned as the outside, instead we’re up to our eyeballs in unhinged news.  Feel free to say what you think we missed in the Forum.

It’s been a Wacko Week, so much so it’s hard to know where to begin.  Might as well begin the most wacko of all, CNN’s latest heartthrob even dumber than Stormy Daniels.  How dumb?  She titled her book after herself, not PDJT:  Unhinged.

As usual, on Tuesday (8/14) the Divine Sarah nails it, and the Fake Newsers to the wall:

Even CNN’s Trump-hating April Ryan couldn’t stand her network’s crush.  On Sunday, she tweeted:

Hot Air yesterday (8/16) compiled a hilarious compendium of devastating reviews of her and her book, like the NY Times calling her “an amoral, dishonest, mercenary grifter.”

But the funniest part is how our POTUS-VSG is trolling her.  Taping conversations in the White House Situation Room is enormously illegal.  It’s with very good reason and on solidly legal grounds she is being sued for millions.  In other words:

It’s a lot more than breaking a NDA, however.  She’ll be lucky in the extreme if she’s not in the slammer for years.

Speaking of being unhinged…

This morning (8/17) we awoke to find a Drudge headline:  Forecast – 75% Chance Dems Take House.  The link is to psephologist Nate Silver’s 538 site.  This is a joke, right, Nate?

After all, your forecasts have been a joke since you predicted the morning of Election Day November 8, 2016 that Hillary’s odds of winning were 71.4% and Trump’s 28.6%, with her getting 302 to Trump’s 235 EV’s.

Spot on, Nate.  You’re just as discredited as Omarosa.  Meanwhile, my friend of decades, John Fund at Fox explains Why the Odds of Democrats Seizing the House Just Got Worse.  He does it with an interesting analysis of the California House Primary results.

The HFR will stick with John.  And with reality.  The President’s party owns a booming economy, and is the Pro-America party of optimism.  The Dems have absolutely nothing of policy to offer except to consider illegal aliens more important than citizens, and have an Anti-America policy of hate and rage.

Believing that can sweep them into power with a Blue Wave is, well, unhinged.

It’s good to see a mobster thug governor who needs to be arrested by federal law enforcement go from being a darling of the Dem Party to being the poster boy for how unhinged the Dems are.

You know the definition of a political gaffe – when a politician accidentally tells the truth.  And that’s exactly what New York’s Dirtbag Governor Andrew Cuomo did on Wednesday (8/15) by publicly blurting how he and his fellow Dems really feel about our country.

Fatal error:

Scratch Andy off any list of Dem 2020 hopefuls.  Trouble is, though, what he said is how they all feel in the darkness of their hearts.

The darkest dirtbag heart of all the Treasonous Cabal attempting a coup to overthrow an elected presidency belongs to Obama’s CIA Director John Brennan.  After all, he’s the architect – or “Quarterback” as Rudy Giuliani stated on Tuesday (8/14) – of the whole effort.

So it’s marvelous that on Wednesday (8/15), the President revoked Brennan’s security clearance.  The link is to his full statement in doing so.

Of course, Brennan and all his co-conspirators screamed like stuck pigs – along with the entire Deep State Media.  (Note the introduction of a new epithet for the Lying Swine Fake Newsers:  The Deep State Media.)

The President in his statement named a number of them by name:

 “As part of this review, I am evaluating action with respect to the following individuals:  James Clapper, James Comey, Michael Hayden, Sally Yates, Susan Rice, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, and Bruce Ohr.”

Everyone now expects the next hammer to drop on Bruce Ohr.  This morning’s Wall Street Journal (8/17) ran What Was Bruce Ohr Doing?” by Kimberley Strassel.  Bruce Ohr is a criminal still within the Sessions Justice Department.

Further, as Strassel says, “But for all Mr. Ohr’s misdeeds, the worse misconduct is by the FBI and Justice Department.”

Ohr’s next, then the rest.  As he quoted Hannity:

And that’s just the start.  There will be another IG Report soon, and the clamor for Sleepy Jeff Sessions to wake up and prosecute the whole cabal – before November 6.  If there no such October Surprise from Sleepy Jeff, you can depend on POTUS firing him on November 7.

Who would replace Sleepy Jeff?  I know you may balk, but don’t be stunned if it’s Lindsey Graham, who on Wednesday called for a Special Prosecutor to investigate the FBI (and by extension Robert Mueller) on Hillary-Russia Collusion and FBI corruption.

Note also Graham demanded last week (8/08) that FBI Director Wray investigate DiFi’s 20 year relationship with a Chinese spy.

Okay, brace yourselves, because here we go Deep Dive Full Unhinged.  On Tuesday (8/14), those nutball Dem voters in Vermont chose this man, David Hallquist, to be their candidate for Governor.  Problem is, David pretends he’s a woman named Christine.

I am here to tell you, David – you make one ugly broad:

Being “gay” or “bisexual” may well be in the genes.  Okay.  But “transgenderism” is a mental illness compounded by a psychotic compulsion to mutilate one’s body.

The sickness is eulogized by the Hate America Deep State Media as part of its War on Masculinity.   Google “Christine Hallquist” whom no one ever heard of before four days ago and you’ll get over 10 million hits, with hysterical headlines like, “She Will Make History As America’s First Transgender Governor!”  The entire US media has become mentally ill.

Oh, of course David/Christine is running on a Leftie platform of enslaving doctors for “universal Medicare” and “aggressive” destruction of the US economy on the pyre of “Climate Change.”  He/she/it is a birdbrain.

Thank heavens Vermont has a real man as governor, Republican Phil Scott – age 60, successful entrepreneur, champion stock car racer, life-long married with two grown daughters, 4^th most popular gov in the country at 65% approval.  Phil should win in a walk.  Vermonters may be crazy enough to elect Bernie Sanders but they’re not that crazy.

Now let’s go to why it’s only Dems and their media propagandists are unhinged.  The rest of America remains nicely hinged.  Two items.

First, in the Wall Street Journal this morning (8/17):  Youth Unemployment Hits 52-Year Low.  Similarly,

“The unemployment rate among older Americans who don’t have a high-school diploma fell to a record low this year. The jobless rate also fell sharply for those who completed high school but never attended college. Among racial groups, the unemployment rate for Latinos fell to 4.5% in July, the lowest rate on records back to the 1970s.”

 These folks are not going to vote Dem to screw themselves in November.

Second, the most astounding stat of the year:

This is yesterday, Aug 16.  This is simply the Death Knell of the Democrat Party.  It can’t survive without the black vote.

Yesterday on the White House lawn, the President’s Economic Advisor Larry Kudlow told reporters that the single most important event of the year in the US is “Trump’s economic boom”  and he’s right.

He also mentioned that “the US is nearing a trade deal with Mexico,”  which is in line with POTUS tweeting the “New president of Mexico [Lopes Obrador] has been an absolute gentleman.”  POTUS-VSG Diplomacy just like with North Korea’s Kim.

Too much Trump success for the Blue Wave to be anything but a receding tide.

Time for the HFR Hero of the Week.  You likely have never heard of Jeff Landry – but as the Attorney General of Louisiana, yesterday (8/16) he denied $600 million to Citibank and Bank of America in road financing in response to their new gun control regulations.

WHAT WAS BRUCE OHR DOING?

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and Justice Department have continued to insist they did nothing wrong in their Trump-Russia investigation. This week should finally bring an end to that claim, given the clear evidence of malfeasance via the use of Bruce Ohr.

Mr. Ohr was until last year associate deputy attorney general. He began feeding information to the FBI from dossier author Christopher Steele in late 2016—after the FBI had terminated Mr. Steele as a confidential informant for violating the bureau’s rules.

He also collected dirt from Glenn Simpson, cofounder of Fusion GPS, the opposition-research firm that worked for Hillary Clinton’s campaign and employed Mr. Steele. Altogether, the FBI pumped Mr. Ohr for information at least a dozen times, debriefs that remain in classified 302 forms.

All the while, Mr. Ohr failed to disclose on financial forms that his wife, Nellie, worked alongside Mr. Steele in 2016, getting paid by Mr. Simpson for anti-Trump research. The Justice Department has now turned over Ohr documents to Congress that show how deeply tied up he was with the Clinton crew—with dozens of emails, calls, meetings and notes that describe his interactions and what he collected.

Mr. Ohr’s conduct is itself deeply troubling. He was acting as a witness (via FBI interviews) in a case being overseen by a Justice Department in which he held a very senior position. He appears to have concealed this role from at least some superiors, since Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein testified that he’d been unaware of Mr. Ohr’s intermediary status.

Lawyers meanwhile note that it is a crime for a federal official to participate in any government matter in which he has a financial interest. Fusion’s bank records presumably show Nellie Ohr, and by extension her husband, benefiting from the Trump opposition research that Mr. Ohr continued to pass to the FBI. The Justice Department declined to comment.

But for all Mr. Ohr’s misdeeds, the worse misconduct is by the FBI and Justice Department. It’s bad enough that the bureau relied on a dossier crafted by a man in the employ of the rival presidential campaign.

Bad enough that it never informed the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court of that dossier’s provenance.

And bad enough that the FBI didn’t fire Mr. Steele as a confidential human source in September 2016 when it should have been obvious he was leaking FBI details to the press to harm Donald Trump’s electoral chances. It terminated him only when it was absolutely forced to, after Mr. Steele gave an on-the-record interview on Oct. 31, 2016.

But now we discover the FBI continued to go to this discredited informant in its investigation after the firing—by funneling his information via a Justice Department cutout.

The FBI has an entire manual governing the use of confidential sources, with elaborate rules on validations, standards and documentation. Mr. Steele failed these standards. The FBI then evaded its own program to get at his info anyway.

And it did so even though we have evidence that lead FBI investigators may have suspected Mr. Ohr was a problem. An Oct. 7, 2016, text message from now-fired FBI agent Peter Strzok to his colleague Lisa Page reads: “Jesus. More BO leaks in the NYT,” which could be a reference to Mr. Ohr.

The FBI may also have been obtaining, via Mr. Ohr, information that came from a man the FBI had never even vetted as a source—Mr. Simpson. Mr. Steele had at least worked with the FBI before; Mr. Simpson was a paid political operative.

And the Ohr notes raise further doubts about Mr. Simpson’s forthrightness. In House testimony in November 2017, Mr. Simpson said only that he reached out to Mr. Ohr after the election, and at Mr. Steele’s suggestion. But Mr. Ohr’s inbox shows an email from Mr. Simpson dated Aug. 22, 2016 that reads, in full: “Can u ring.”

The Justice Department hasn’t tried to justify any of this; in fact, last year it quietly demoted Mr. Ohr. In what smells of a further admission of impropriety, it didn’t initially turn over the Ohr documents; Congress had to fight to get them.

But it raises at least two further crucial questions. First, who authorized or knew about this improper procedure? Mr. Strzok seems to be in the thick of it, having admitted to Congress interactions with Mr. Ohr at the end of 2016.

While Mr. Rosenstein disclaims knowledge, Mr. Ohr’s direct supervisor at the time was the previous deputy attorney general, Sally Yates. Who else in former FBI Director Jim Comey’s inner circle and at the Obama Justice Department nodded at the FBI’s back-door interaction with a sacked source and a Clinton operative?

Second, did the FBI continue to submit Steele- or Simpson-sourced information to the FISA court? Having informed the court in later applications that it had fired Mr. Steele, the FBI would have had no business continuing to use any Steele information laundered through an intermediary.

We could have these answers pronto; they rest in part in those Ohr 302 forms. And so once again: a call for President Trump to declassify.
