HALF-FULL REPORT 09/22/17

This is the cover of the current issue of TIME Magazine on newsstands this week.  The issue is date-forwarded to October 2.  The cover story is entitled, “Divided Democrats Debate Their Future as 2020 Looms.”

“Can anything save them?” is the plaintive question on the cover.  When I showed this to my wife, she instantly answered, “No – all they have is anger and hate. Nothing can save them until they get rid of it.”

As usual, she nailed it.  The enemies of America – foreign and especially domestic – are in beaucoup deep kimchee.  Welcome to the winningest HFR in quite a while.

Now there are two kinds of winning.  First is when your enemies are taking it in the shorts.  Second is when you’re getting cool stuff accomplished.  We have both kinds this week.  The first is more fun as it’s schadenfreude in spades.

No matter what they do, in the campaign and non-stop hate from November 9 to today, the Trump Train keeps steaming down the tracks and rolling over the Lying Swine Fake News Media.

So much so that, as reported in the Washington Examiner this morning (9/22): Media on the Brink of a Nervous Breakdown.  It’s funny but these folks really are cracking up.  They’re like King Lear raging against a storm as he descends into madness, while Trump is like a force of nature they can’t do anything about.

Latest proof that TDS –Trump Derangement Syndrome – really is causing lefties to be institutionalizable is this on Wednesday (9/20): Leftists Decry Straight Black Men as ‘The White People of Black People’.  You can’t make this up.

Also on Wednesday, Michelle Malkin in Show Biz Meltdown itemizes the collapse of viewers and fans throughout the entire entertainment industry so permeated with TDS.

*“Emmy emetics.” Steve Colbert’s TDS Emmy Show on Monday (9/18) got record low ratings, just as Jimmy Kimmel’s Oscars did months earlier.

*“Hollywood’s summer movie season launched more duds than North Korea’s Rocket Man.”  Movie attendance has hit a 25 year low.

*No one is watching MTV much anymore, and hardly anyone is going to see Algore’s sequel farce.

*Rolling Stone, the pop culture icon of hipster lefties is collapsing and for sale.  Someone might buy it for $1.

*NFL now stands for No Fans Left.  The stands are empty and no one’s tuning in to see spoiled brat millionaires spit on their country.

And how about No Students Left?  Sanctuaries for Snowflakes are suffering, as the WashTimes reports: Enrollment Drops at Schools Known for ‘Social Justice Warfare’.

But those are just the prelims.  For the Main Event of the Week we have:

On Monday (9/18), CNN dropped the bombshell that Trump was right all along that Obama had him wiretapped.  Celebratory headlines followed.

The Hill: Looks Like Obama Did Spy on Trump Just Like He Did to Me, Says Sharyl Attkinsson

American Thinker: Trump Vindicated on Wiretaps, Hillary Ukraine Collusion.

Wall Street Journal:  Mueller Probe a Sham Unless Obama Wiretapping Investigated.

Investors Business Daily: Obama White House Spied on Trump and Lied About It – Is This Worse Than Richard Nixon?

The Spectator’s Dan Flynn in Obama’s Watergate certainly thinks so:

“The bugging of the opposition party’s presidential campaign, at least when done by Republicans, ranks not only as criminal but as the biggest political scandal in American history.

 

Richard Nixon’s henchmen wore surgical gloves to avoid leaving clues for law enforcement. Barack Obama’s henchmen were law enforcement. This makes Obama worse, not better, than Nixon. Obama used law enforcement for opposition research.

 

In Banana Republics, the cops double as the criminals. The unprecedented use of the Justice Department to commit injustice marks a sad moment for the republic. It is Watergate on steroids.”

As the IBD (linked above) concludes, Mueller’s entire Russian investigation “appears to be fraud… It’s time to wind down the Russia probe and begin looking into the real scandal: Whether the Obama administration illegally used the intelligence apparatus of the U.S. to try to neutralize a political opponent.”

Realize what that means.  Obama FBI Director Comey, Obama Intelligence Director Clapper, and Obama Attorney General Lynch all lied under oath claiming no wiretaps.  The noose is tightening.  As Jack Kelly advises us today, Patience, Grasshoppers.  Trust Trump and Sessions that the noose will get tighter.

OK, schadenfreude is fun, but winning! with positive accomplishments brings real satisfaction.  There was a lot of that this week.

Let’s start with: Trump’s War Strategy Hailed by Afghan President: ‘A Difference of Day and Night’.

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani personally told President Trump on Monday (9/20) at the UN that his change of strategy over Obama’s was “historic” and puts his war-torn country on a path toward victory over the Taliban and other radical Islamic terrorists.

Then there’s the New York Times unhappy on Tuesday (9/21) that Trump to Drop Limits on Drone Strikes and Commando Raids.

No more high-level (all the way up to Zero) vetting of raids, leave it up to officers on the ground.  Kill any Jihadi you can find, not just their leaders.  As Trumps says, “The killers need to know they have nowhere to hide, that no place is beyond the reach of American might and American arms.”  Now they will.

Here at home:  Yesterday (9/21), the President signed additional sanctions on North Korea.

They have real bite.  It’s Choose North Korea or the US, as ZeroHedge describes it. As the White House says, “foreign financial institutions must choose between doing business with the United States or facilitating trade with North Korea or its designated supporters.”  Not many will opt for the latter.

On Tuesday (9/20) we learned:  Regulations Cut: Another Yuuuge Trump Promise Fulfilled.  The National Federation of Independent Business now calls Trump “Donald the Deregulator” from saving small businesses everywhere from stifling regulation.

That and other pro-economic freedom moves by Trump make possible this Bloomberg report yesterday (9/21): U.S. Household Wealth Rises $1.7 Trillion to Another Record.

The political consequences of this are gigantic.  People are getting jobs, the markets are record high, inflation is low, the economy keeps getting better, the smell of optimism is pervasive in Middle America.  Yet, as Rebel notes above, all the Democrats have got is “anger and hate.”

The only time that works is when a majority of the electorate are bitterly angry themselves.  Not today – they’re getting happier all the time.  This is why hate-filled movies and music and magazines and award shows and No Fans Left football are being tuned out and ignored.  Nobody cares what some airhead celeb thinks about Trump.  He’s winning, and they’re losers.

This is why Democrats are Shrunk and why nothing can save them.  They haven’t got any ideas that aren’t Marxist.  They have no genuine solutions for anything.  Literally, all they’ve got is bottomless anger, hate, and rage – the psycho compulsion to ruin everything.  The Wages of Envy (from August 2011).

The Left is losing badly in America while Trump is winning bigly.  That’s this week’s bottom line.

We close with something that you’ll tear up at for sure.  This morning (9/22), Lifezette ran a story about Irving Berlin, the Man Who Wrote ‘God Bless America’­ – and some 1500 other marvelous songs.

Berlin set up the God Bless America Foundation in 1940, donating all the money the song earned to the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, raising many millions.  That’s why you see them in the video below.

On May 5, 1968, Irving Berlin celebrated his 80^th birthday singing God Bless America on the Ed Sullivan Show.  Note Sullivan wheeling in a candle-lit birthday cake at the end.  You can cry all you want.  This is our America.
