TRUMP AND SUN TZU

war-based-on-deceptionTwo days after being appointed White House Director of Communications, Anthony Scaramucci appeared on the political talk shows on CBS, CNN and Fox News this Sunday (7/23).

To all save those reflexively anti-Trump about everything, “Mooch” was impressive.

“I love this new guy,” said Chris Wallace after interviewing Scaramucci on Fox News Sunday. “Finally, the Trump White House has a surrogate who speaks like the boss.”

A self-made billionaire from a blue collar family, Scaramucci, 53, is exactly the right guy to do the most important job on the White House staff, at what may be the most critical time.

Smart, confident, articulate, quick on his feet, Mooch treats the Lying Swine with the contempt they deserve.  Just look at how he handled a BBC interviewer on the White House lawn yesterday (7/26):

Jake Tapper is the most intelligent, most knowledgeable, least dishonest of CNN anchors. Scaramucci ate him alive.

The chief criticism lefty journos made of Scaramucci was he supported other GOP candidates before Trump.

Lefties can’t grasp the fact that having a former critic turn strong supporter makes Trump look good.

After Mooch was appointed Friday (7/21), Press Secretary Sean Spicer, who would have had to report to him, resigned.

Scaramucci pledged to stop leaks from the White House communications staff. On Tuesday (7/25), Mooch fired Michael Short, who evidently was leaking.

Short had been a deputy to Spicer at the Republican National Committee. Spicer’s resignation, and Short’s dismissal, fueled speculation Scaramucci may soon replace Reince Priebus, their boss at the RNC, as White House chief of staff.

That would be a mistake. With the entire Fake News Media banging on Trump 24/7, the job Scaramucci has now is more important than COS.

Mooch shouldn’t be caught in a lie, or engage in gross hyperbole. But you and I shouldn’t lose sight of the fact that Trump, and others in the White House, routinely deceive the news media.

The Lying Swine lie constantly about Trump, so this isn’t immoral, and it’s good strategy. The president realizes he’s in a war, recognizes who are his main enemies, is following Sun Tzu’s advice to defeat them: All war is deception.

Trump’s enemies assume they’re smart, he isn’t. It’s exactly the opposite – so much so the president takes advantage of their assumption.

In particular: anyone who takes at face value what Trump has said recently about Attorney General Jeff Sessions assumes Trump has the emotional maturity of a child.  From which arises the question:  Is Trump Sun Tzu-ing the media on Jeff Sessions?

I suspect Trump and Sessions get along fine. So does Larry Schweikart, whose article on Trump’s Cheese in the Maze strategy last month (TTP 6/16) is a must read.

On Monday (7/24), Schweikart tweeted: “I’ve given my source in the White House many, many chances in the last few months to bash Sessions. Not a peep. If DT truly upset, I’d hear.”

One reason why Trump is beating the FNM is because they are so predictable. Whatever he’s for, they’re against. Whatever he’s against, they’re for. Knee. Jerk.

It seems like it was just last week that Dems and the Lying Swine were telling us Sessions was a racist and a Russian tool. Guess who the New York Times et al now view with strange new respect?

Since it soon will be necessary for Trump to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller, he needs to prepare the battlefield first, Kurt Schlichter thinks. He has excellent suggestions for what should be in a letter to Mueller detailing his bias and conflict of interest.

The letter would be even better coming from an attorney general whose integrity has recently been vouched for by the MSM.

If it turns out Mueller will abuse the law to get the president, I’ll be disappointed, but not surprised. The Swamp is bigger and more fetid than we imagined.  Which is exactly why the President now calls Washington a Sewer:

But I will be surprised if Mueller thinks that if he issues a phony indictment – or gets canned before he does — the coup can succeed.

If the special counsel is fired, some Republicans will be among those weeping and gnashing their teeth. But few would vote to impeach, because nearly all Republicans in their districts would be furious with them.

Mueller must know this. Would he trash his rep for an exercise in futility?

There’s something cartoonish about the obvious signs of bias, the torrent of leaks from Mueller’s team. Cheese in the maze?

Not everything is as it seems. If he doesn’t get canned before issuing it, the special counsel’s report could surprise many.

If I’m wrong, and Mueller is both corrupt and stupid, push may come to shove soon. So it’s good Anthony Scaramucci will be on hand to help handle the firestorm if the special counsel gets canned.

When we’re at war, we need warriors. Mooch’s appointment suggests the president is about to go on offense.
