HALF-FULL REPORT 02/17/17

The NY Post has it right:  this week has been a circus – both here in Washington DC, and very regretfully, here at TTP (more on that later).

The week was capped off yesterday afternoon (2/16) by Trump’s mind-blow of a press conference in the East Room of the White House.  You can read the full transcript here – or watch the full video:

Read or watch and enjoy.  For the HFR, the best moment came when Trump told Jim Acosta of CNN he wasn’t going to be calling CNN “Fake News” anymore – that he was changing CNN’s nickname to “Very Fake News.”

The takeaway from this event is not that Trump went on an “epic rant” reading the riot act to the Lying Swine enemedia – it’s that he was having fun doing so.  He was enjoying himself, as he admitted right on camera.

After a week of celebration by the Lying Swine, getting their first scalp (Mike Flynn’s), toasting themselves in every bar in DC that next they’d get Kellyanne then Preibus, and Dan Rather braying that Flynngate will be Trump’s Watergate causing him to resign – the last thing in the world these putzes expected was this from The Donald.

Instead of being cowed, humbled, and on the defensive, he from the get-go was on the offense, on the take-no-prisoners-attack, and having a good time doing so.  The putzes were, and still are a day later, in a state of Shock and Awe.   They better remember the feeling the next time they contemplate taking on this president.  Here’s a reminder he Tweeted this afternoon (02/17).  It’s war all right:

Although Trump’s performance is being hailed all over the country as The Best Presidential Press Conference in History, there is this caveat:  saying that the opposite of CNN’s claim his White House is in a state of chaos is true – that there is “zero chaos,” that instead it’s a “fine-tuned machine.”  That’s over the top.

As described in Flynn and Flournoy on Tuesday (02/14), allowing a nothingburger regarding Mike Flynn to escalate to the moon was Amateur Hour.  Worse, Amateur Hour continued this week with the embarrassment over Flynn’s putative replacement, Vice-Admiral Robert Harward.

Harward is the real deal, a SEAL Team Six true warrior-leader-intellectual, Mad Dog’s former Deputy, perfect to team up the White House NSC with the Mattis Pentagon on national security.

There shouldn’t have been a peep out of the White House about Harward until his acceptance to be National Security Advisor was secured and nailed down.  Now last night (02/16), the press gets to run ridiculing headlines on Harward Jilts Trump, and Trump’s Choice TURNS HIM DOWN.

There’s not total chaos in the White House as CNN claims, far from it with lots of good stuff being done as Trump outlined yesterday and more – but it’s also very far from zero chaos either.  Anyone familiar with what’s going on knows there’s plenty of confusion, aided and abetted by Obama Holdovers everywhere.

The good news in this is that Trump will have three separate sit-downs with superb people to replace Flynn tomorrow at Mar-a-Lago – and one of them is the best there is:  John Bolton.

I’ve been a huge fan of John for 30 years and consider him a personal friend.  Ted Cruz today endorsed Bolton for National Security Advisor.  Lt. Generals Kellogg and McMaster are outstanding.  Bolton’s unique combination of world expertise and bedrock conservative principles make him even more qualified than them.

Here’s silver lining to the Flynn Farce.  Trump now fully understands the lethal danger of the Enemedia colluding with the Deep State to wage war against him.  As Michael Walsh says in “The Empire Strikes Back” (02/14):

“This is a rolling coup attempt, organized by elements of the intelligence community, particularly CIA and NSA, abetted by Obama-era holdovers in the understaffed Justice Department (Sally Yates, take a bow) and the lickspittles of the leftist media… in order to overturn the results of the November election.”

Now that the Swamp People (as the IBD calls them, creatures inhabiting the swamp that needs draining) have declared open and treasonous war on the President of the United States, he gets to wage war on them.  Thus the headline in Fox today (02/17):  Trump mounts bid to find leakers, as speculation surrounds Obama officials.

Yes, obviously, because the leaks of classified information – recordings of Flynn’s calls, illegal in themselves – was done before Trump took office.  These officials must be named, prosecuted, and if found guilty, imprisoned.  Alinsky’s Rule for Radicals #13 must apply: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

That means target Number One must be Obama’s CIA Director John Brennan.  There couldn’t be a better signal to the Deep State than putting the leader of the Intelligence Community’s Traitorous Left behind bars.

On Tuesday (02/14), House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) said that nine Obama officials “in senior positions at multiple agencies” illegally leaked the classified data to the press, and “all nine leakers belong in jail.”  Start with Brennan.

Speaking of Trump’s war with the Deep State brings us to the Jerk of the Week.  That would be Founder and Editor of The Weekly Standard William Kristol, who has declared he supports the Deep State against President Trump.

All his life, Bill has suffered from an inferiority complex compared to his father, Irving Kristol (1920-2009).  That name may not ring a bell as he flourished decades ago, but he was hailed at his death by the London Telegraph as “the most consequential public intellectual of the latter half of the 20th century.”

As the New York Times (see link) described him:  “Against what he saw as the ‘nihilistic’ onslaught of the ’60s counterculture, Mr. Kristol mounted an ever more muscular defense of capitalism, bourgeois values and the aspirations of the common man.”

I knew Irving and had many a thoughtful discussion with him whenever we met.  Bill is bright, no doubt, but no match for the intellectual firepower of his dad.  I also have no doubt that Irving would be ashamed of his son at this moment.  Bill needs to look in the mirror for reassessment.

And who might the Hero of the Week be?   Well, like at the Oscars which has dual awards for Best Actor and Best Actress, so do we.

First an observation – which is the pathological obsession of the Left to ruin everything.  No matter what it is, they must politicize it to destruction.

Even shopping is politicized now, fashion down to underwear, television (SNL), movies, comedians, singers,  even Country!  Witness the attempt to ban Toby Keith.  Movie “stars” and “celebrities” are the most pretentiously obnoxious.

Which is why every patriot in America cheered and applauded when a little known singer stole the Grammy Awards on Sunday night (02/12).  Joy Villa (whose ethnicity is Black-Italian-Choctaw Indian) appeared on the red carpet for the photographers looking demur in a plain white toga gown – then tore it off dramatically to reveal a stunning MAGA dress:

It even had TRUMP in sequin letters emblazoned along the dress’s train.  Every leftie in attendance exploded with hate on Twitter, but now five days later, she’s gone from unknown to #1 on iTunes and Amazon Music.

As she should be.  Joy Villa is the HFR Heroine of the Week.

Now let’s talk football – and the Left’s compulsion to politicize and ruin it.  We all know about KaeperDick and the stupid Super Bowl ads.  Now it’s the idiots running the NFL threatening never to hold another Super Bowl in Texas if a law is passed requiring people to use public bathrooms corresponding to the sex on their birth certificate.

Yesterday (02/16) came the response: Texas Governor Warns NFL to Stick to Sports and Leave Politics to Others.  Gov. Greg Abbott had this to say in no uncertain terms:

“We don’t care what the NFL thinks and certainly what their political policies are because they are not a political arm of the state of Texas or the United States of America. They need to learn their place in the United States, which is to govern football, not politics.”

Yes!!  It’s about time a governor talked that way to the Left.  Don’t mess with Texas!  Governor Greg Abbott is the HFR Hero of the Week.

Meanwhile, amidst all this media meltdown and deep state treason, here’s a quintet of things that brightened up the week.

*Within hours of his swearing in, Attorney General Sessions ordered Justice to stop fighting the injunction several states won that blocked Zero’s edict forcing them to have transgender bathrooms.  Sessions Justice!

*Headline: Trump undertakes most ambitious regulatory rollback since Reagan.  “The new administration is targeting dozens of Obama-era policies, using both legislative and executive tactics” – and note he’s using the strategy Kim Strassel and I talked about two weeks ago (02/01) using the Congressional Review Act.

*On Tuesday (02/14), Senator Ted Cruz introduced a bill to abolish the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the most anti-capitalist fascist out-of-control creation ever by Zero.  Abolishment can’t come too soon.

*Today (02/17), the Senate confirmed Oklahoma attorney general and arch foe of the EPA, Scott Pruitt, as head of the EPA.  Note that Red State Dems up in 2018 Joe Manchin (WV) and Heidi Heitkamp (ND) voted Yes.  Libtard celebs were bitter.  Enjoy their bitterness in the link.  Drain the EPA Swamp!  Or is that “wetlands”?

*Also today, headline: Tillerson Orders Abrupt Shakeup at State Department.  T Rex’s “aides told the entire staff in the offices of the deputy secretary of state for management and resources and the State Department counselor that their current assignments were prematurely coming to an end.”  Fabulous news – the 7^th Floor Shadow Government of  Obamunist agents of George Soros are being booted out.  You’re fired!

Hope that’s enough good news for the week.  About our TTP site problems:  we had a structural analysis done on the site which revealed a large number of difficulties that had been building up over several years.  Our site was extremely “fragile” as the experts put it.  Our attempts at correction this week, as you saw, were premature.  Every fix led to something else crashing.

So today, the site is back up as it’s always been, and we’ll be exploring more cautious ways to improve the site.  Our apologies for whatever inconvenience you may have experienced.  We really appreciate your support.
