HALF-FULL REPORT 10/21/16

“Either we are going to win this election or we are going to lose this country.”

That sums it up, doesn’t it?  Either/Or.  It’s a binary choice.  Trump made this clear in an extraordinary speech yesterday (10/20) in Delaware, Ohio.  I strongly encourage you watch it entire.

When the Pub candidate race began some 18 months ago, I was repulsed by Trump.  I still was when he gained the nomination, and very grudgingly supported it only because the alternative of Hillary was a nightmare from which we might never wake up.

Now he’s causing me to think of Arnold Toynbee (1889-1975).  For many years, the 12 volumes of his monumental A Study of History has occupied a pride of place in my library.  (The link is to Wikipedia not Amazon, as the latter only offers abridged versions, not the entire set which sells for over $1,000 on Ebay.)

Toynbee’s thesis on the rise and fall of civilizations is one of “challenge and response.”  Civilizational success is determined by the extent of using challenges as opportunities to grow; failure comes when that ceases.

A civilization succeeds when it allows a “creative minority” to develop solutions to challenges.  It fails when the creative minority becomes a “dominant minority” addicted to power and thinks only of preserving it – becoming thereby incapable of providing solutions for they themselves are now the challenge the civilization has to overcome.

This predicament is where America is now.  We are ruled lawlessly by a Dominant Minority in power.  That is the challenge America faces today to which the Trump Movement is the response.

Yet Toynbee’s thesis applies to the lives of individuals as well.  They can grow and succeed as moral human beings in response to personal challenges.  As I watched the third debate Wednesday night and his Ohio speech yesterday, it dawned on me that this has happened to Donald Trump.  This is not the same man of yesteryear.

Trump used to be a pro-abortion Democrat in bed with elitists in power.  He may well have begun his campaign based on his egomania.  Not anymore.  His change may be due to resolving cognitive dissonance between saying one thing but actually believing the opposite:  you either change your beliefs to be in accordance with your words and actions, or you are a pathological liar like Hillary.

I believe that Trump is a far better man today because of his supporters.  Their decency, their patriotism, their revulsion at the moral sewer of Obama’s and Hillary’s America, their passionate dream for an America they can be proud of again, has changed his character.  He has absorbed the decency of his supporters into his soul.

He still has his flaws, lots of them as do we all.  The fact remains that Trump is rising to the challenge of being President of the United States, accepting the awesome responsibility of living up to his supporters, to do what it actually takes to make America America again.

Here is the full transcript of the third debate ereyesterday.  I’d link to the video but it’s simply torture to watch 90 minutes of her pathological lies and creepy clown smile (it’s the botox).

When Wallace asks him, “Do you want the court, including the justices that you will name, to overturn Roe v. Wade, which includes, in fact, states a woman’s right to abortion?”, Trump answers:

“That would happen, because I am pro-life and I will be appointing pro-life judges… Because I am putting pro-life justices on the court. I will say this: It [Roe v Wade] will go back to the states and the states will then make a determination.”

From a conservative’s perspective, that is exactly the correct Constitutional 10th Amendment answer.  The Federal Government and Supreme Court have no legitimate authority to impose Roe on the entire country.

And note also how Trump got Hillary to defend partial-birth infanticide “up to the day of birth” while he is repulsed by it.  His emotions are genuine.

Trump wiped the floor with Hillary on Wednesday night. After she desperately tried to evade Wallace’s blunt question, “Why isn’t the Clinton Foundation what Mr. Trump calls pay-to-play?”, he flattened her with this:

It’s a criminal enterprise. Saudi Arabia given $25 million, Qatar, all of these countries. You talk about women and women’s rights? So these are people that push gays off buildings. These are people that kill women and treat women horribly and yet you take their money.

So I’d like to ask you right now why don’t you give back the money that you’ve taken from certain countries that treat certain groups of people so horribly? Why don’t you give back the money?”

That’s just one example of many.  Here’s his closing statement:

“We’re going to make America great. We have a depleted military. It has to be helped. It has to be fixed. We have the greatest people on Earth in our military. We don’t take care of our veterans. We take care of illegal immigrants, people that come into our country illegally better than we take care of our vets. That can’t happen.

Our policemen and women are disrespected. We need law and order, but we need justice too. Our inner cities are a disaster. You get shot walking to the store. They have no education. They have no jobs. I will do more for African-Americans and Latinos that she can do for ten lifetimes.

All she’s done is talk to the African-Americans and to the Latinos, but they get their vote and then they say ‘we’ll see you in four years.’ We are going to make America strong again and we are going to make America great again and it has to start now.

We cannot take four more years of Barack Obama, and that’s what you get when you get her.”

So let me conclude this section with an expression of gratitude.  Trump’s supporters have made him a better man, an advocate of policies that can reignite our economy, protect us from our enemies (foreign and domestic), and drain the swamp of Washington.  For that I am deeply grateful.

For that, it is only appropriate that Trump’s supporters be the HFR Heroes of the Week.

***********

Now for the entertainment section of the HFR.  Last night was the Al Smith Memorial Dinner held at the Waldorf-Astoria in Manhattan.  It’s a white-tie event to raise money for Catholic Charities.  Trump and Hillary were both there and roasted each other.  Trump killed it.  Examples:

“Hillary and I have proven that we can actually be civil to each other. In fact, just before taking the dais, Hillary accidentally bumped into me and she, very civilly, said: ‘Pardon me.’ And I, very politely, said: ‘Let me talk to you about that after I get into office’.”

“This is the first time ever, ever, that Hillary is sitting down, speaking to major corporate leaders and not getting paid for it.”

“It’s great to be here with 1,000 wonderful people. Or, as I call it, a small, intimate dinner with some friends. Or, as Hillary calls it, her largest crowd of the season.”

“So, here she is tonight in public, pretending not to hate Catholics… Last night, I called Hillary a nasty woman. But this stuff is all relative. After listening to Hillary rattle on and on and on, I don’t think so badly of Rosie O’Donnell anymore. In fact, I am actually starting to like Rosie a lot.”

Here’s his entire gig.  Note that sitting between Trump and Hillary is Cardinal Timothy Dolan who, two nights before (10/17), publicly demanded an apology from Hillary for her campaign’s ridiculing of Catholics as “extremely backward” – which Cardinal Dolan said was “extraordinarily patronizing and insulting to Catholics.”

Yet all the abortion-loving ersatz-Catholic Manhattan Moonbat Elite booed Trump when he jabbed her about this.  Enjoy the boos of the libtards – it’s so much fun to enrage them…

The major libtard meltdown of the week, however, is about Trump refusing to accept in advance what the libtards say are the results of the Nov. 8 election.

The HFR has been sounding the alarm regarding Dem voter fraud and election theft for months now.  Cheating is what Dems do, as their morals are the-ends-justify-the-means Marxian.  They are not like us.  They really do believe they have a moral right to cheat, plan to do so accordingly, and when you catch or accuse them of it they squeal like stuck pigs.

Here’s a sampling of headlines in just the last three days:

Elections Expert: “We Now Have 4 Million Ineligible and Dead Voters on American Voter Rolls” (10/18)

Soros-Connected Company Has Provided Voting Technology In 16 States (10/18)

Election officials allege more voter fraud in Indiana (10/18)

Voter fraud investigation opened in Texas county (10/18)

‘How to Commit Voter Fraud on a Massive Scale’: Part II of Project Veritas Investigation into Clinton Network (10/18)

Podesta: All You Need is a Driver’s License to Vote — non-citizens can get away with voter fraud (10/19)

GOP judge paves road for thousands of potential non-citizens voting in Kansas (10/20)

The libtard Enemedia is squealing hysterically because Trump has announced he won’t let them get away with stealing the presidency.  Fuhgettaboutit, he’s saying and the Enemedia froths at the mouth.  C’mon, admit it – it’s fun watching them go completely spaz, right?

It’s not going to be fun at all if the election is close and all kinds of places turn up voting 110% Dem and the like.  Then we have to put the Second Amendment to the use for which it was designed.  Think very carefully what that entails.  Pray that Trump’s – and Rudy Giuliani’s – warnings have the salutary effect of Dems deciding not to engage in the mass voter fraud they are planning.  Pray hard.

Ps:  The link to Rudy Giuliani is a must-read.  He explains how and why the Clintons cheat, and how and why Trump won’t stand for it.

Now for the funniest, most pathetic headline of the week:  Oprah: “You Don’t Have to Like Her.” (10/21)

Here’s Oprah admitting to the world that Shrillary, Illery, HiLIARy, The Shrew, The Marxist Hag, The PIAPS is the most despised and untrusted woman in America – but vote for her anyway!  What a sales pitch!

Here’s what most people think of her.  On Tuesday morning (10/18), this sculpture of a hoofed and naked Demon Hillary with a Wall Street banker wrapped around her appeared in downtown Manhattan.  The artist is unknown – but I hope we see more of his work.

Hillary w Wall St Banker Sculpture************

Time for the Idiot of the Week Award.  Runner-up is Krazy Tim Kaine, who actually claimed on Wednesday (10/19), “Spanish Was the Language of Our Country Before English.”  Who knew the Pilgrims on the Mayflower or the founders of Jamestown spoke Spanish?

The winner is…. Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, who actually said this in a talk at the University of Wisconsin in Madison (10/14):

“We’ll keep fighting for what we believe and we’ll keep passing things in the House, but we have to get things to the president’s desk.”

What would prompt an allegedly intelligent conservative congresscritter to utter such idiocy?  The job he and his fellow Pubs were elected to do is to cut spending. Reduce Fascist Federalie power by denying federalie agencies the money to implement their fascist regulations.  To get less government, not more.

Of course he knows the House doesn’t need to pass any law or get anything on “the president’s desk” to do that.  A majority of House Members simply don’t authorize spending for whatever they want to cut.

Neither the Senate nor the President has any say in the matter.  No House Authorization, no money, bada-bing.  Ryan is not retarded.  So the only other explanation for his statement is that he’s a spineless gutless wonder.  He like his predecessor Boehner led the House into being Obama’s doormat – and he is announcing his intention to be Hillary’s doormat should she win.

In the Surprising Surprise Department this week, check out these two news stories and note the source:

The Trump Name Is Emblazoned Across the Country (10/15). The reporter drove 3,000 miles across the entire USA and saw countless front yard Trump signs while seeing a grand total of 5 for The PIAPS.

Videos Put Democrats on Defensive About Dirty Tricks (10/20).  James O’Keefe strikes again.

Yes, both these stories are in the New York Times.  Might it be that the Gray Lady is trying to hedge its Enemedia bets, if only by a few millimeters?

Oh, speaking of my friend James:  James O’Keefe Says Donna Brazile’s Head May Be Next to Roll (10/20, but not the NYT).  We’re looking forward to it, James!

We close with this announcement from a proud father.  My son USMC Captain (ret) Brandon Wheeler is relaunching the Freedom Research Foundation that I founded in 1984 to rid the world of the Soviet Union.

We face new dangers today, and Brandon has stepped forward to help protect us from them.  He is holding a fundraiser to launch FRF in Dallas, Texas on November 1st.

He’s calling the event Light the Torch!.  I’ll be there, along with Col. Allen West and a number of very interesting people.  If you’d like to attend, you can RSVP at the bottom of the link.  I hope to see you there.
