HALF-FULL REPORT 03/25/16

I wanted to start wishing everyone a Happy Good Friday and commemorate this coming Easter Sunday, but this intervened:

So that tears it.  I long ago lost any respect for this douchebag of a man.  Trump is a sniveling coward and sure isn’t a real man with decency and integrity.  Now I have lost respect for anyone who continues to support him.

The operative word is continues.  However understandable it may have been for someone to be so carried away with anger and frustration at what the Washington Elite has done to America that they want a Nietzschean Will-To-Power burn it all down, it is not any longer.

No one with any moral integrity can support Trump any longer.  There is no rationale, excuse, or justification.  It is time for Trumpistas to have a Colonel Nicholson moment, say to themselves “What have I done?” and come to their senses.  They need not, however, die doing so.

They need not switch their passion to Cruz either.  Just recognize the blindingly obvious truth:  Trump is a contemptible moral fraud with very serious mental deficiencies for whom it would be as crazy as he is to want him in the White House with access to nuclear codes.

The bottom line:  Trumpmania has destroyed many formerly sane conservative websites – Breitbart is now Trumpbart, Drudge the DrudgeTrump Report, while Hannity, Coulter, Palin, Schlafly and so many others have trashed themselves into being Trump propagandists. Meanwhile any other conservative site that dares to oppose Trump has their Comments section taken over by rabid Trumpkins.

This is not going to happen to To The Point.

So this is a notice to TPPers who now continue to support Trump.  You are welcome to stay – but stay off the Forum.  Just as I won’t tolerate posts that are Anti-Semitic or KKK white supremacist as they are beyond the moral pale, so it is now with posts that defend the indefensible with Trump.

To The Point prides itself for being The Oasis for Rational Conservatives.  It is no longer rational in any way to be a Trumpista.

The weirdest thing about Trump’s gutter reaction to an anti-Trump outfit posting a nude pic of his wife – that Cruz had no connection with – was his getting mad at all.  She’s an ultimate Trophy Wife and he’s extremely proud of that.  The nude pic was taken from the cover of GQ Magazine – and GQ couldn’t be happier.

Why isn’t he?  Why didn’t he tweet something like, “What red-blooded American guy wouldn’t love to be married to someone so hot and gorgeous?  She’ll be the hottest First Lady in American history!  Eat your heart out, Trump detractors.”

There’s no comeback to that.  But instead, he attacks Cruz’s wife, proving to the world he’s mental.  Not very smart either.  Pretty stupid, actually.  Lucy Klebanow’s conclusion – on a date with him years ago where he welshed on paying for dinner – seems accurate: “I didn’t think he was very bright.”

OK – you’re all asking by now:  What about the National Enquirer claiming today (3/25) that “Pervy Ted” has been cheating on Heidi with five mistresses? (The story is not online, only in the print edition – the link has the cover.)

Then there’s the scurrilous story, “Bungling Surgeon Ben Carson Left Sponge in Patient’s Brain!” planted by Trump as reported by New York Magazine last October: Donald Trump’s Alliance with the National Enquirer.

On March 8, the Enquirer endorsed Trump.  CEO David Pecker – it’s really hard not to call him Peckerhead – is bought and paid for by Trump.  Pecker colluded with Trump hitman Roger Stone on the Pervy Ted story, timing it as a comeback on Cruz’s “sniveling coward” comment that made all the news.

The NE story has pixilated photos of the five accused women.  One of them – get ready – is Trump’s press spokeswoman, Katrina Pierson.  She, along with another of the five, Amanda Carpenter, is denouncing the story as “tabloid trash – 100% false.”

I talked to the folks who run Cruz Oppo this afternoon.  They knew that Stone and Pecker were planning the story at least a month ago.  They began doing due diligence on the accusations, as it’s the job of an Oppo team to fully examine claims of dirt on your guy as well as an opponent’s.  They came up with zilch.

“The thing is fake whole cloth,” I was told.  Pierson is looking for the best lawyer she can find to, as she says, “sue the Enquirer out of existence.”  Carpenter is doing the same.

I talked to one of Cruz’s major donors who knows the others.  His comment: “We find the story laughable to the point of ridiculous. Ted is simply not all that interested in women other than his wife. It’s a love match between Ted and Heidi. They really are inseparable.”

The donors also will be ponying up whatever money it takes to sue the Enquirer for every dime its got.

Cruz just posted this:

Just when you think Trump can’t sink lower, he does.  Personally, I think this invented scandal is a wonderful opportunity to do to the National Enquirer what Hulk Hogan did to Gawker.  Bankrupting David Peckerhead and Roger Stone in the process would be frosting on the cake.

Time to get practical.  No one is going to be elected president with Trump’s negatives.  The latest NBC/WSJ poll shows in a matchup against Hillary, women went 58% for her, 31% Trump.  47% of Republican women won’t vote for him.

And it will only get worse.  If by chance he’s nominated, you’ll see the greatest deluge of negative exposés on him by the media in the history of mankind.  It’s simply delusional to think he has Frosty the Snowman’s chance in Hell to not end up a puddle on the floor.

That’s if he’s nominated.  Virtually the entire Pub Party from Rinos to Teapartiers aside from the Trump Cult are coalescing to prevent that.  Since Cruz is their only alternative, even the Rinos and GOPE leaders are being dragged kicking and screaming into surrendering to Cruz.  Nothing says this more clearly than Jeb Bush endorsing Cruz on Wednesday (3/23).

The Bush Surrender to Cruz has two important consequences.  First, it signaled to Pub donors to forget Kasich – meaning Kasich will very soon run out of money and his campaign will be broke.  It messaged to Kasich to drop out now and get out of the way, as a vote for him is a vote for Trump in any primary.

Kasich may not as he’s utterly disconnected from reality, which is why he needs to wake up in the morning with a horse’s head in his bed.  That may be what it takes with Soros-funded MushFace.

Second, it signaled that the famed Bush Rolodex was being opened for Cruz.  Pub donors were being told to belly up to the bar.  Cruz’s campaign and pro-Cruz Super PACs will be awash with money – more than enough for Cruz to win a sufficient number of delegates that at the very least deny Trump a 1237 majority, and significantly so, with Trump coming up around 100 to 200 short.

Now the convention rules come into play.  The well-known Rule 40(b) will indeed be up for retention or reinterpretation by the Rules Committee just prior to Cleveland.  The point is that there has to be some rule for eligibility to place a name in contention for nomination.

Prior to 2012, the rule was winning a majority of delegates in five primaries.  Since Ron Paul met that minimum, Romney got it changed to eight so that Paul couldn’t be nominated at all.  That’s the way it remains, as the rules must be voted on every election year with the RNC reaffirming 40(b) in 2014.

So the Rules Committee with regard to 40(b) can 1) keep it at the 8 state minimum, 2) either increase or decrease it.  The odds are high they’ll opt for keeping it.  Obviously they won’t increase it, and what would they decrease it to?

Not zero, or what’s the purpose of primaries at all?  Not to just 1 for the express purpose of being able to put Kasich in contention – that’s no different than zero.  Not back to 5, as what would the point be, with Cruz and Trump having more than that?

True, as of now Cruz has won a majority of delegates in only 5 states so far (ID, KS, ME, TX, UT), but with 18 primaries still left to go, it’s easy to assume he’ll get at least 3 more.

If this scenario holds – and it might not, there’s no crystal ball here – then retaining 40(b) means that only Cruz and Trump can be voted on for nomination.  No one else can be slipped in, not Kasich, not Ryan, not Romney, nobody.

With that, and Trump failing to get a vote of 1237 on the first ballot, Cruz thinks he can win handily on the second.

But, the GOP delegate selection process is a labyrinth of complexity.  An example is around 200 delegates being “unbound” – not being required to vote on the first ballot for any candidate, instead of being “bound” to one in their state’s primary.  Another is how delegates bound to a candidate who’s dropped out, like Bush or Rubio, can be released.

Thus Scott Rasmussen of Rasmussen Polling says that after the final primaries on June 7 (California, New Jersey, South Dakota, Montana and New Mexico), there will be the Primary of the Unbound Delegates.  He concludes:

“Cruz currently trails Trump by 274 delegates. If he can win just over half of the nearly 1,000 remaining delegates, he will pull to within 200 delegates of Trump’s total heading into the Primary of the Unbound Delegates.

In that scenario, Cruz could enter the convention in first place by winning about two-thirds of the unpledged delegates. Given the nature of those delegates, that’s not an unreasonable goal… It’s even possible that the unbound delegates could deliver a first ballot victory to the Texas Senator.”

Possible, but how probable?  All we do know right now is recall Yogi Berra’s immortal wisdom that, “It’s never over until it’s over.”

What do you see here?  A group of Moslem “refugees” walking in a snowstorm headed for the German Welfare State?

Well, yes – but look more closely.  There are seven men and one woman – and the woman, unlike the men, is barefoot. What’s more, she is carrying two children – and not one of these seven men is lifting a finger to help her.

This encapsulates the incapacity of a culture that looks upon and treats women as sub-human to adapt to the moral norms of Western Christian Civilization.

That Europe would allow people in the millions from such a culture to flood their shores is suicidal.  The horror of Brussels on Tuesday (3/22) should not come as any surprise in the slightest.  This is what being suicidal begets – you become prey for the predators.

Why, though, are Euroweenies suicidal?  Why are the victims of Islamic evil in Brussels crying out in anguish, “Why do they hate us so much?”  Why do they – just like American lefties and libtards – take the blame on themselves and are afraid of denouncing the perpetrators as irretrievable monsters who cannot be allowed to live in their midst?

And why do we let Zero get away with, and let the libtard media ignore, the impossible immorality of laughing with Raul Castro at a baseball game and doing the tango in Argentina as a response to the Moslem slaughter in Brussels?

This is a teachable moment.  It is prime time to learn – or relearn as TTP has been teaching this for years – the root cause of the West’s and America’s suicidal  inability to defend itself from foreign threats, be they Moslem terrorism, tsunamis of illegal immigration, or an America-hating president.

And what is that root cause?  The Fear of Envy.

This is something that not even Rush understands.  On Tuesday (3/22), he roundly denounced the Left’s reaction to Brussels:  The Left Thinks It’s All Our Fault.  Good for him in doing so.  Yet he does not explain precisely why the Left thinks it’s our fault.

That explanation is given in a speech I gave to the Council for National Policy (an organization Rush is very familiar with) four years ago, March 2010.  It is appended in full below.  I could not encourage you more to copy and paste it in an email to him: [email protected].  I guarantee he will find it revelatory.

You’re not going to get a clearer example of the leftist insanity taking over our country than this news item:  North Carolina to Limit Bathroom Use to Birth Gender.

Who could imagine in their wildest nightmare dreams a few short years ago that a state legislature would have to pass such a bill at all?  Much less Democrats walking out in protest against it?

Believe it or not, an even clearer example of leftist insanity is the hysterical reaction of the libtard media and major US companies.

Note first that the link above in the NYT has been re-headlined from the original on Wednesday (3/23 – you can see the original in the URL by hovering your cursor over the link or in the top bar on the webpage).  The revised and libtard-biased new headline is: North Carolina Bans Anti-Discrimination Policies.

But it’s not just the libtard media that has gone bananas over not letting men pretending to be “transgendered” use women’s bathrooms or teenage boy perverts shower with the girls in high school gym.  Companies like Google, Apple, IBM, PayPal, Dow Chemical and others have publicly denounced the new law as well.  The NBA is threatening to not have the 2017 All-Star game in Charlotte.

There couldn’t be a better demonstration of how infected America is today with leftist insanity.

For the courage to stand up to this insanity, the Republicans of the North Carolina legislature and Republican Governor Pat McCrory – who signed the bill into law within hours of its passage Wednesday – are the HFR Heroes of the Week.

Now at the close, I get to wish you a Happy Good Friday and a Joyous Easter.  If you have young kids or grandkids, please have as much fun as you can with their Easter Egg Hunt.  Treasure the moment, for the time will come all too sadly soon when they’ll be too grown for such kid things.  Trust me, I know this.

For me, Easter is a time for reflection upon Christianity being a religion of love and forgiveness.  It’s such a stark contrast to a religion of envious hatred, anger, and terror.

I want to commend Joel Wade for his marvelous and timely The True Path of Human Evolution this week.  For his making clear:

“Some cultures do a better job of encouraging the good and discouraging the bad than other cultures. This is where we should be looking for guides as to how we should evolve as a culture, not toward some kind of cultural relativism where all cultures are equally valued; where cultures that encourage violence and mistreatment of others are given the same moral status as those that encourage respect and empathy.”

All cultures are not equal.  We have every right in the world to be proud of our Christian Western culture.  A Joyous Easter to you all.

APPENDIX

Why Liberals Are More Dangerous Than Terrorists

 [Delivered March 5, 2010 to the members of the Council for National Policy, leaders of conservative organizations across America, meeting in Naples, Florida.]

There’s no time to waste here, so I’m going to skip the obligatory warm-up joke and get to the root of the problem.

First, Moslems are not really the problem, neither Moslem terrorists nor Moslem imperialists insisting on their medieval Sharia laws.

Christendom has been fighting Islam for almost fifteen centuries.  The Spaniards fought 800 years to get rid of the Moslem invaders of their Christian lands.  800 years!  That’s how long the Reconquista took.  How long have we in America been at it – two decades?

Islam is a self-identified religion of the sword.  It cannot be anything else but.  “Islam” is an Arabic word.  It means submission.  Moslems claim this means submit to Allah.  What it really means is submit to them or die.  Just the same as it was for the Communists of the Soviet Union.

Thus there can be no peace between Jihadi or Sharia Moslems and us, anymore than there could be with Soviet Communists.  “Peace” for us means the absence of violence.  “Peace” for Jihadis and Communists means the absence of disobedience.  So there can be no peace, there can only be victory or submission.

We achieved victory over the Communists of the Soviet Union.  How may we achieve victory over the Moslems of Jihad and Sharia?  Let’s go to Africa to find out.

Anyone here been to the Serengeti?  Then you know the tribe that lives on the plains of the Serengeti is the Masai.  How do the Masai make a living?  They are cattle herders.  Cattle herders in lion country.  Lots of lions live in the Serengeti, and they love to eat cows.  Cows are easy to kill and taste real good.

What have the Masai got to protect their cattle – and themselves – from the lions?  Spears.  No guns, just spears.  What do the Masai wear for clothing?  Bright red robes.  They want to make sure the lions see them, know where they are.

For when a lion sees a Masai, it is the lion that runs away, not the Masai.  Lions are scared of the Masai, who are very, very good at hunting lions down and killing them.  With spears.

Lions are predators.  There can be no peace between predators and prey.  Islam is a predatory religion.  Jihadi Moslems are predators.  So the only solution is to have them be so afraid of us that they leave us alone, just like lions leave the Masai alone on the Serengeti Plains of Africa. They either run away or get a spear in their gut.

So the question becomes:  Why don’t we treat Moslem predators like Masai treat lions?

It’s because the Masai, even though they live in primitive conditions, have something we once had and have now lost:  cultural confidence.  They have a fierce pride and confidence in their culture that we no longer have.

Our Founding Fathers sure had it.  Thomas Jefferson sure had it, when he condemned King George for inflicting upon Americans – quote from the Declaration of Independence – “the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian savages, whose known rule of warfare is undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes, and conditions.”

The men and women who fought those savages to create an American civilization from sea to shining sea sure had it.  We’ve lost it.  How?  Let’s go to the Amazon to find out.

There is a tribe in the Amazon called the Yanomamo.  When a Yanomamo woman gives birth to a baby, she cries out in a loud lament, “Oh my baby is so ugly!  Why have the spirits cursed me with such an ugly baby?”  She does this so the other villagers won’t envy her happiness at her beautiful child.

This is the famous fear of envious Black Magic, the fear of the Evil Eye of Envy that permeates so many cultures. In Greece it is called matiasma, in Spain and South America the mal ojo. The Evil Eye is known as ayin horeh in Hebrew; ayin harsha in Arabic, droch shuil in Scotland, mauvais oeil in France, bosen blick in Germany, and oculus malus among the ancient Romans.

Today in Italy it is called the mal occhio. Fans of those preservers of certain unpleasant aspects of Italian culture, The Sopranos, will recall Tony Soprano referring in classic New Jerseyese to da ol’ maloik, that old evil eye.

Fear of the envy of others is one of mankind’s most deeply primal and pervasive terrors. Ask a taxi driver in Cairo why he has a beaded blue eye dangling from his rear-view mirror, and he’ll tell you, “Many people will look at you with evil eyes and want to harm you when they see you with a new car – so this protects me.”

Envy-avoidance is one of the most basic and primary motivators of human behavior. It’s why village life in India and Egypt has not evolved much in thousands of years: the instant some villager tries to do better, so much envy is directed at him or her by other villagers that they quickly abandon the effort.

Socialism can be seen as a desperate attempt to eradicate envy: by forcing everyone to be “equal,” no one will have grounds for envying others. The human reality is that no matter how rigorous the attempt, distinctions will be made as grounds for envy. In German concentration camps during WWII, a prisoner who had a toothbrush was hated and envied by his fellow prisoners.

The fear of envy dominates cultures from primitive tribes in the Amazon to Harvard-educated liberals in America.  For just like the Yanomamo tribeswoman who says her baby is ugly to deflect envy, so the American liberal says his country is ugly.

Liberalism is nothing more than a pose by those afraid of envy. This fear especially afflicts those who feel they have not earned their wealth or celebrity – heirs like Teddy Kennedy and Tereza Kerry, or Hollywood actors and actresses.

Intellectuals are similarly afflicted, as since childhood envy has been directed at them for being smart. The easy way out is to adopt a pose of apology for your wealth, fame, or smarts, and loudly proclaim your liberal “compassion” in an attempt to appease envious evil eyes.

It takes an exceptional amount of courage to not be afraid of envy. It is horribly hard for any single individual to strive his or her best while envious evil eyes are directed at them, much less an entire culture that’s successful and prosperous.

Perhaps the most instructive of all Ten Commandments is the last:  Thou shalt not covet –  don’t be envious.  Yet it needs a corollary:  Thou shalt not fear those who covet – don’t be afraid of the envious. For it is this fear that gives the envious their power over us.

For example, the crux understanding of Moslem terrorism or Jihadism is that it is a pathology of envy.

All three of the great barbarisms of modern times have been pathologies of envy. Naziism, preaching race-envy toward “rich exploitative Jews”;  Communism preaching class-envy toward “rich exploitative bourgeois”;  Jihadism preaching culture-envy toward “rich exploitative America/Israel/the West.”

In all three cases, the belief in exploitation is a primitive belief in voodoo Black Magic.

What gives envy its enormous destructive capacity is the fear of it, fear of the Evil Eye. It is envy that makes a Nazi, a Communist, or a Moslem Terrorist. It is the fear of being envied that makes a Liberal.

 Liberalism is thus not a political ideology or set of beliefs. It is an envy-deflection device, a psychological strategy to avoid being envied. Liberalism is the politicalization of envy-appeasement.

And thus liberals are driven to ever more masochistic efforts of self-humiliation in attempts at envy appeasement.

 All the passions of the Left are frenzies of masochism. What could be more idiotic and masochistic than to oppose missile defense? Liberals oppose missile defense because…  they do not want their country defended.

Liberals promulgate their “global warming” hoax because…  they do not want their civilization to prosper.

Liberals are pro-abortion because… they do not want their species to exist.

Liberals wallow in their ethical goo of moral relativism and multiculturalism because…  they do not want their culture to survive.

“Political correctness” is nothing but a form of envy-appeasement – which is why, just as one example, we have politically correct airport security rather than profiling Moslems.

 As the Amazon tribeswoman who says her baby is ugly, so the liberal says  his country, his culture, his civilization and even his entire species is ugly.

This is why liberals always root for those who revile America. Liberals are incapacitated from being able to defend America because of their primitive fear of the Evil Eye of America’s enemies. Liberals are incapable of pride, deep pride, in being American.  Instead they feel embarrassment.

So – how do we regain cultural confidence for America?  It’s a simple recipe of two words:

Reject envy.

This is a note of 100 Yuans – the currency of Communist China.

While we have George Washington and Abraham Lincoln on our money, the Chicoms have Mao Tse-Tung, whom the Guinness Book of World Records lists as the greatest mass murderer in human history.  America is vastly more moral than Communist China.  Yet we kowtow to the Red Chinese.

Christianity is vastly more moral than Islam.  Ours is a religion of love and forgiveness.  Islam is a religion of conquest and slavery.  Repeatedly in the Koran, Allah advocates slavery, providing a plethora of detailed rules and permissions regarding slave ownership.  Either slavery is moral or Allah is immoral.  Moslems must choose.

But we cannot ask them to choose, we cannot stand up to Moslem terrorists or Communist Chinese or any enemy of America, foreign or domestic, if we do not reject their envy.

There could not be a clearer example of the disastrous consequences of America’s failing to reject envy than the election of Barack Hussein Obama – a man with utterly no experience or qualifications, a man no one in the country would have paid the slightest attention to if he were white.

The only reason this man was elected was because he was black, because of his race –  it was the most racist election in American history, a deeply masochistic exercise in envy-appeasement.

At least now we can all understand the horrific results of envy-appeasement.  And while this is in no way an endorsement of Mitt Romney’s presidential aspirations, he has provided the antidote with the title of his book, No Apology.

That is the message conservatives must stand for at every opportunity:  No apology for America, no apology for our success, our prosperity, our power, our religion, our culture, our civilization.

That and the American message of Live and Let Live.  You leave us alone and we’ll leave you alone.  But if you don’t, if you attempt to terrorize, threaten, or intimidate us, you’ll end up like a lion at the tip of a Masai spear.
