HALF-FULL REPORT 12/25/15

Paris, France. Merry Christmas and welcome to the Christmas Half-Full Report!

Today we celebrate the hopefulness and optimism inherent in Christianity. It’s “The Most Wonderful Day of the Year” as the Christmas song declares – and which you can hear in the sound system of restaurants, markets, and stores all over in Paris.

Yes, in English. In fact, everywhere you go in Paris, you hear the classic Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole Christmas songs that we all grew up with – like White Christmas, Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire, Winter Wonderland, Silent Night. Not French. American. Even in France, the most wonderful day of the year connects Christian hope with the fundamental cheerfulness of the American character.

And not just in France. Last week, Rebel and I were in Warsaw and it was the same. The Poles are perhaps the most devoutly Christian people in Europe. Christmas is a true religious day for them. And you hear Crosby and Cole, American Christmas music everywhere as well.

The Poles have very good reason to be optimistic today, with a new government devoted to standing up for Poland against Putin’s threats and EU bureaucratic tyranny. Poland is the hope of Europe right now, the patriotic free market alternative to the Moslemized welfare states of so much of the EU.

There is even a patriotic free market television news station now – Republika TV – as a very popular alternative to Poland’s libtard media always apologizing for Putin as they are on the Kremlin payroll.

Actually, there are other countries in Europe we can look to for optimism.

Hungary has not only built strong fences on its southern borders blocking the flood of Moslem welfare migrants. It has now initiated the cancellation of all contracts the government has with Magyar Telekom, the dominant libtard TV station owned by Germany’s Deutsche Telekom.

That’s because Magyar severed its relationship with famous pop singer Akos Kovacs after he said something politically incorrect – namely that women should have children.

Denouncing the political correctness of “gender equality” as “gender madness,” Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament Lazlo Kover said this to his fellow parliamentarians receiving wild applause:

“We don’t want to turn Hungary into a futureless society of man-hating women and woman-fearing, feminine men who only see children and families as an obstacle to self-fulfillment. We wish that our daughters considered bearing grandchildren for us to be the highest quality of self-fulfillment.”

There’s hope for Hungary with a government like this.

Bulgaria was the subject of a New York Slimes hit piece on Wednesday (12/23), denouncing it for blocking the Moslem welfare migrant flood with force.

“I ran away from hell at home, trying to find paradise in Europe. Instead, I found another hell,” an Iraqi was tear-jerkingly quoted, calling him an “asylum-seeker.” He’s a ­welfare-seeker trying to reach the welfare-paradise of Europe. Once he got out of Iraq and into Turkey, he could have requested asylum there from his fellow Moslems.

But no, he kept on going, lured by European masochistic welfare handouts. Bulgaria had been a sovereign Christian nation for 700 years (since the late 600s) when it was conquered and subjugated by the Moslems of the Ottoman Empire. For 500 years (late 1300s to late 1800s) it was under the Moslem boot, and it has no intention whatever of being Moslemized ever again. Good for Bulgaria.

Denmark has scandalized the weeping libtards of the WaPo for seizing “asylum-seekers’” jewelry and valuables, calling the Danes Nazis for doing so. The Danes smiled and replied with the Danish equivalent of bugger-off.

They noted it’s the law that any unemployed Dane can only receive government benefits after his assets or valuables over 10,000 kroner (about $1500) are sold to pay for them. “We are only applying Danish law to these immigrants,” says Danish Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen. “In Denmark, you must pay for yourself if you can.” Good for Denmark.

So there’s hope for Europe as these countries lead the way. Certainly hope is being resurrected now in South America.

Argentina has suddenly become the continent’s poster child for optimism. After suffering Marxism-Peronism tyranny for 13 years under the Kirchners (Nestor then Cristina), newly-elected businessman president Mauricio Macri is changing everything.

He’s slashing regulation, ending capital controls, opening his country to global trade, working with and not dictating to the nation’s governors – and he’s been in office two weeks (since 12/10). Argentina is going to be a great place for business and investment now, if Macri can keep the Kirchneristas and their media hounds at bay.

Venezuela is the place where “Christmas is dead,” as Nicolas Maduro’s Chavista thugocracy refuses to recognize the landslide victory of the Anti-Chavistas in parliamentary elections earlier this month (12/06). Maduro is still in power until 2018 at the earliest unless he suffers lead poisoning.

The economy is months away from default and bankruptcy. The country will become more lawless and chaotic. Cuban military intelligence will continue to run Caracas. Yet the opposition to Maduro, the Cubans, and Chavismo is exploding and presages to sweep all that away. With any luck, a Venezuelan Macri will emerge.

If that happens, the leftist dominance of South America begins to melt away. The continent’s 800 pound gorilla, Brazil, is becoming a 90 pound weakling under socialist Dilma Rousseff, and will be in no position to prevent it. The same for Chile so badly run by socialist Michelle Bachelet, Ecuador under Rafael Correa, and Bolivia under Evo Morales.

And watch for the big event, when Venezuela will stop supplying Castro’s Cuba with cheap oil – as it must very soon. Implosion City for the Cuban economy.

If there’s hope in South America, surely there’s hope for the USA. Look how fast a new pro-capitalist president is turning Argentina around after 13 years of fascist lawlessness. We can do the same after 8 years of Zero.

Which bring us to who can do it. At this point, it’s become clear to rational conservatives that he’s Ted Cruz.

There’s really only one thing that can genuinely rein in the federal government within the confines of the Constitution, and end the boundless corruption and cronyism in Washington – and that is to massively devolve federal power back the states via the 10^th Amendment.

And as Heidi Cruz explained on Fox News recently, her husband will be a 10^th Amendment President. That is America’s salvation.

Oh, and have you noticed that in response to the libtard media’s insistence on referring to illegal aliens as “undocumented immigrants,” Cruz now refers to them as “undocumented Democrats.”

Today is a day of celebration. Might as well have a bit of fun. You might have heard of the petition in Wisconsin demanding that Speaker of the House Ryan change his first name from “Paul” to “Lyin’,” in the wake of his Omnibus sellout to Zero.

And so it shall be, officially – at least on TTP – he’s now Speaker Lyin’ Ryan.

While the HFR is no booster of Ohio Gov. John Kasich’s presidential aspirations, you have to admire the sense of humor of his new campaign website Trump-Putin 2016. Make Tyranny Great Again! is the spoof campaign slogan promoting Putin as Trump’s ideal running mate. There’s even a spoof campaign video ad:

Time to indulge in the sinful fun of schadenfreude. The misery of the New York Slimes writing about The Reproductive Rights Rollback of 2015 should bring a joyful smile to your face.

They are just so angry and unhappy about the proliferation of TRAP Laws — targeted regulation of abortion providers. Hahahaha!

The HFR is strongly tempted to dub Kurt Russell as HOTW for his unabashed defense of the Second Amendment. He said it was “absolutely insane” to think gun laws would stop terrorist atrocities. “If you think gun control is going to change a terrorists’ point of view, I think you’re, like, out of your mind.”

The founding fathers’ purpose of the 2^nd, he said frankly, was so citizens could defend themselves from a tyrannical government. That nails it.

Recall that quote of Hungarian Speaker Lazlo Kover above about “a futureless society of man-hating women and woman-fearing, feminine men.” That’s the future liberals want, which is why they have waged a war on masculinity for decades, now reaching a climax under Zero, a feminine man if there ever was one.

Instead, the HFR Hero Of The Week Award goes to those incredibly brave Christians risking their lives to celebrate Christmas and Christ’s birth on this day in the Middle East.

They are in Moslem countries where you can be killed for celebrating Christmas. Yet these Christians do so despite the risk and threats. Our congratulations to journalist Lisa Daftari for telling the world about them. Theirs is Christian heroism in the truest sense.
