HALF-FULL REPORT 12/11/15

A theme of the last two HFRs has been derangement. This week it’s absurdity.

That’s Charles Krauthammer this morning (12/11), who can’t believe anyone is taking Trump seriously any longer, much less going into a freak-out frenzy over what he says.

Here’s something to take seriously. On March 28, 1786, Thomas Jefferson, then US Ambassador to France, and John Adams, then US Ambassador to England, wrote a letter to John Jay, US Secretary of Foreign Affairs, reporting on their meeting in London with the Ambassador from Tunis, one of the Islamic pirate kingdoms along the Barbary Coast of North Africa.

The previous July, the pirates had captured two American ships and were holding their crews ransom. Jefferson and Adams wrote this about their negotiation with the Moslem emissary:

“We took the liberty to make some inquiries concerning the grounds of their pretentions to make war upon nations who had done them no Injury, and observed that we considered all mankind as our friends who had done us no wrong, nor had given us any provocation.

The Ambassador answered us that it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Musselman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.”

What has changed since 1786 in the soul of Islam to this day? More importantly, what does America do right now regarding what is “written in their Koran” besides ridiculous blather by an absurd publicity-hound?

We know Zero is a pathological liar, a fascist, an anti-American traitor – but is he a murderer? Yes, he should be prosecuted for murdering the American Dream.

Almost half of young Americans (18-29) believe the American Dream is “dead,” reports the Harvard Institute for Politics today (12/11). We know that Zero is the cause of this, that he planned for this to happen on purpose, because 86% of these youngsters want a Dem President to take care of them. Zero has convinced them they can’t make it on their own. Dependent people are people who vote for you. Works like a charm.

Franz Kafka is alive and well, living in Paris. Or if he were, he’d be ecstatic, for you can’t get more Totally Laughably Absurd than what’s going on there this week.

40,000 loonies, freaks, conmen, scam-artists, dictators, beggars, parasites, ersatz scientists, and John Kerry are attending the Great Mongolian Cluster Foul-Up known as COP21. It was supposed to end today but is being “extended” to tomorrow in order that its leaders can generate sufficient platitudes and clichés to cover up their farcical failure to accomplish anything.

No one will be fooled and everyone attending will pretend they aren’t. The world’s “last chance” to save humanity from extinction via “catastrophic climate change” has devolved into nothing more than a crude shakedown, the angry rattle of a beggar’s cup. The beggars have a marvelous euphemism for it: “differentiation.”

That is, even though the “developing” countries emit 70% of CO2 “pollution,” they should be differentiated from the “developed” countries that must pay them $100 billion a year while they get to continue burning as much coal as they want.

Actually, they consider $100 billion chicken feed. They’re now demanding “climate reparations” of trillions of dollars per year from America and the West. India’s Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar has taken the lead on this.

Contemptuously dismissing criticism of India’s “expansion plans for usage of coal to meet its energy needs” in a Paris press conference on Tuesday (12/08), he then proclaimed: “Climate action cost is not limited to 100 billion dollars. The annual cost of climate actions is in trillions of dollars,” which developed countries must pay.

Naturally, the guilt-ridden envy-appeasing masochistic moonbats of the US Left agree. It’s all our fault and we must bankrupt ourselves to assuage our guilt, you see. You should be enjoying this, because the schadenfreude starts tomorrow. All the recriminations, outrage, temper tantrums, outpourings of grief and denial, the bottomless abyss of gloom and doom by the eco-fascisti, beggars, and moonbats as their fantasies disintegrate in Paris is going to be so much fun, immensely satisfying to witness. It’ll call for at least three celebratory fingers of Famous Grouse.

This week’s Darwin Award – won by someone who does humanity a favor by removing himself from the gene pool – goes to Matthew Riggins, whose body was found in Barefoot Bay, Florida on Tuesday (12/08). Well, part of his body. The rest of it was found in an alligator’s stomach who killed and ate Matthew as he was in the water hiding from police dogs after trying to burglarize a home.

This week’s Idiot Award goes to Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was smart once but has become a girlie man. On Tuesday in Paris, he said people should be vegetarians to stop climate change. You can’t make this up. Gone are the days when he said to Sylvester Stallone in Escape Plan:
