DOES AMERICA HAVE A PRO-TERRORIST PRESIDENT?

The Taliban in Afghanistan and Pakistan, Boko Haram in Nigeria, ISIS and Al Qaeda in Iraq and Syria.  These Islamists were responsible for over 80 percent of 17,958 deaths from terror worldwide in 2013, a 500 percent increase since 9/11/2001, according to the Global Terrorism Index (GTI) maintained by the Institute for Economics and Peace, an Australian think tank.

Islamists kill someone somewhere every five hours, on average, according to the Religion of Peace web site.

While "Islamic lone wolves" rather than organized groups like above have made nearly all terror attacks in America since 9/11, this soon may change.

"Sleeper cells" like the one that attacked the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo are here, says Sen. Dianne Feinstein, former chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee. ISIS has sleeper cells in America, says former CIA officer Bob Baer. So does Iran, says former CIA operative "Reza Kahlili."

"Another 9/11 is imminent unless we act decisively, and quickly," former CENTCOM adviser Ali Khedery warned President Barack Obama in August.

Nearly two thirds of 48,000 terror incidents in the GTI have occurred during Mr. Obama’s presidency.

Terror attacks rose sharply during the insurgency in Iraq, fell after it was crushed by the troop surge, have skyrocketed since 2011. Deaths from terror rose 41 percent in 2012, 61 percent in 2013.

The spike coincides with the president’s feckless efforts to woo Islamists; dithering over the civil war in Syria; belated recognition of and piddling response to the threat posed by ISIS.

Diminishing when Mr. Obama assumed office, the terror threat now is rising faster than the capacity of security agencies to cope with it, some experts fear.

The president’s bizarre refusal to acknowledge Islamist terrorists are Islamic "is getting a lot of people killed," says Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-SC. His bungling in Iraq and Syria makes another 9/11 attack "inevitable," Sen. Graham says.

There’d have been no Fort Hood massacre (which was "workplace violence," the administration says) if Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan’s Islamist rants hadn’t been ignored.

Nearly all "lone wolf" terrorists here have been recent immigrants from terror supporting countries, or converts to Islam with criminal records and/or histories of mental illness.

The number of Moslems in the U.S. has more than doubled since 9/11. Most – like the Boston Marathon bombers — were admitted without regard for their willingness to obey our laws.

The Visa Waiver Program, which permits millions from 38 countries to enter the U.S. with little or no screening, is "America’s Achilles Heel," Sen. Feinstein says.

President Obama issued an executive order in 2010 to accelerate admission of Moslem refugees. Last year he lowered bars to entry to Moslems who provided "limited material support" to terrorists.

Jihadists benefit from lax border security. During the last fiscal year, the Border Patrol caught 474 aliens from terror supporting countries. For each one they catch, there are two or three they don’t.

Nearly a third of 624 detainees released from Gitmo have returned to terrorism, intelligence officials suspect, but Mr. Obama plans to release more.

Islamists do most of their recruiting in mosques, but the president won’t let the FBI surveil them. FBI agents in training no longer are taught about the links of radical Islam to terrorism.

Liberals give Islam deference they give to no other religion, which is odd, since so many of its adherents commit genocide, torture gays, treat women as chattels. Liberals used to disapprove of these behaviors. Now they make excuses for them.

The first, indispensable step toward defeating an enemy is to know him, says Sun Tzu, who after 2,500 years is still regarded as the greatest strategist of all time.

The refusal of so many liberals to recognize they are motivated by a (warped) view of religious duty makes defeating the Islamists all but impossible.

"Until the U.S. begins to acknowledge and address the ideology (of the Islamists), we will not be able to challenge (their) ability to recruit, motivate and inspire those who wish to kill us," wrote Katharine Gorka, president of the Council on Global Security.

After Islamist atrocities, many liberals fret most about a "backlash" against "innocent Moslems." There are more atrocities than ever, but no "backlash" yet.

If there’s another 9/11, there surely shall be a backlash, but "innocent Moslems" needn’t worry. It’ll be against a president, his party, and a liberal elite who wouldn’t protect Americans from the guilty ones.

Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind.  That’s what we’ve done by electing a pro-terrorist president.
