ARE WE REALLY GOING TO LET THIS HATE-AMERICA PRESIDENT DESTROY US?

I was having dinner with Robin Williams’ next door neighbor when we both learned of his suicide.  We were on a cruise ship on the Baltic Sea, where I was a lecturer.  We were both shocked at the news, he less than me.

"I didn’t know him well," he said, "and mostly saw him when he was walking his dog along our street in Tiburon.  He was always friendly and had a nice smile for you.  I must say, though, that over the last couple of weeks, he seemed quite depressed as if a dark heavy cloud was pushing down on him.  As a medical doctor, I was concerned."

Most any of us can rattle off their favorite Robin Williams movies.  Mine are Dead Poets Society, Good Will Hunting, Hook, Jumanji, Good Morning, Vietnam – and my favorite of all, Moscow on the Hudson.  Made in 1984, it was wonderfully pro-American and anti-Soviet.

He was extraordinarily gifted and talented, beloved and admired by millions, wildly successful, enormously famous, and mega-rich.  Yet at 63 in the prime of his life, he willfully terminated his existence.  Whatever demons he had living in his brain, he let them defeat him.  There should be a sobering lesson in his tragedy for us as Americans.

The day after Williams’ suicide (8/12), Dana Milbank, the WaPo’s leading lib columnist, wrote American Optimism Is Dying.

"It is the very essence of the American Dream: an irrepressible confidence that our children will live better than we do.  And now it is gone."  Milbank comes to this conclusion via the latest Wall St. Journal/NBC poll showing that 76% of us disagree that "life for our children’s generation will be better than it has been for us."

This is far greater pessimism than polls of previous years.  Milbank, being a libtard, not only exempts Zero from obvious blame, but actually claims the record pessimism "is good news for President Obama because it means the problem is not of his making but the result of two decades of scorched-earth politics."

Perversely however, he’s right – such record pessimism is good news for Zero because that’s what he wants. That’s his goal, that’s his revenge upon the country he hates, for us to lose confidence in ourselves as Americans.

The refusal to do what any sane economist knows on how to create jobs and a booming economy – cut spending, cut taxes, cut regulations (it’s not rocket science); the unending series of scandals, any one of which would have crippled any previous presidency; the deluge of illegality, unconstitutionality, and flouting of the law; the outright fascism of rules like FATCA; the purposeful destruction of our healthcare system with Obamacare – on and never ending on… this is no accident, comrades.

This is an Anti-American conspiracy to destroy us from within, to destroy our will to resist Big Brother.

And before any of us rage at the wimps in Congress who aren’t fighting back, we need to ask – how many of us are fighting back?  Where are the mass protests, where is the mass civil disobedience, the mass refusal to obey Big Brother?

As of now, the only place I see folks fighting back is in Ferguson, Missouri.

Last night (8/13) was the fourth night of rioting after police gunned down an unarmed black teen named Mike Brown.  We’ve seen this scenario of police brutality as an excuse for looting and mayhem many times before, but what’s going on in Ferguson has a difference, because of SWAT Team fascism.

This time it’s race riots with Molotov cocktails vs. the militarization of virtually every local police department in the country.

This morning (8/14), USA Today placed a large part of the blame for the Ferguson riots not on "racist America" nor black hoodlumism, but on the Pentagon – for supplying incredible amounts of military weaponry to police departments in every state:

"The Ferguson Police Department is part of a federal program called 1033 that distributes hundreds of millions of dollars of surplus military equipment to civilian police forces across the United States. The materials range from small items, such as pistols and automatic rifles, to heavy armored vehicles such as the MRAPs used in Afghanistan and Iraq."

There are tens of thousands of "no-knock" SWAT Team raids upon the homes of Americans a year now.  In Ferguson, a SWAT Team burst into a McDonalds (!) where reporters had gathered and ordered them out at gunpoint.  When two reporters didn’t move with sufficient submissive speed, they were arrested.

So far, the only conservative politicians with guts and integrity enough to support the reporters and criticize the SWAT thugs are Ted Cruz and Rand Paul.

The Ferguson riots are an opportunity for conservatives and Tea Partyers to join responsible black leaders and start protesting the militarization of our police forces, to call for the elimination of SWAT Teams in their community.  It’s something you personally could do: demand the elimination of your own community’s SWAT Team, the fascist militarization of your own local police department.

The Left always uses race riots to promote their fascist agenda.  Now it should be our turn to promote our freedom agenda.

The destruction of freedom in America has permeated all the way down to where we live, infecting our city councils, school boards, and county commissioners.  It is there, where we live, that we must begin to reclaim our birthright of freedom as American citizens.  It is from there that we can then move to reclaim it on a state and national level.

Or we can just give up, let the demons inside our nation defeat us, and kill ourselves like Robin Williams.  Is that how you want to end up, hanging yourself with your belt in your bedroom?  Is that how you want America to end up?

I don’t.  America’s freedom has been stolen by fascist thugs and thieves and I want it back.  How?  The first step is to change our attitude with two words: abandon pessimism.  Realize that pessimism about America is Un-American.  Our nation has faced far worse challenges than this.  Had we succumbed to pessimism at Valley Forge or during the Civil War neither we nor our country would be here today.

The second step is to read the blueprint for American optimism:  America 3.0: Rebooting American Prosperity in the 21st Century – Why America’s Greatest Days Are Yet to Come, by James Bennett and Michael Lotus.

"America 1.0," explain the authors, is the original, rural and agrarian, embodying Jeffersonian individualism.  This lasted from the first British settlers in the early 1600s to 1860 and the Civil War.  It’s the America de Tocqueville described in the 1830s, and hardly had much government at all.

"America 2.0" was the original’s transformation into an industrial, urbanized society dominated by gargantuan units – big cities, big corporations, big labor unions, and most of all, big government.

This transformation reached its apotheosis of success with FDR, America’s victory in WWII, and the 1950s.  It’s been failing ever since 2.0 "finally reached beyond its grasp" with Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society welfare programs in the 1960s.

Now with Zero, America 2.0 has reached an apotheosis of failure.  America’s government is today "in a state of decay reminiscent of the Brezhnev period of the Soviet Union," run by "apparatchiks with no new ideas, repeating the same clichés and failed policies, unaware their system was doomed."

The authors are not Pollyannic, recognizing that 2.0 will not die for some time, and that the transition to 3.0 will be really difficult.  Yet what we have now is unsustainable.  It is dying and cannot be revived, no matter how much Democrats wish to.

"America 3.0" is the refitting of our institutions to a post-industrial, networked, decentralized society, with a more individualistic, voluntarist, anti-bureaucratic culture.

This is what we are undeniably moving towards now, technologically and economically.  The brand new technology of shale gas and oil fracking, for example, has virtually single-handedly saved our economy in defiance of Zero’s Moocher-Parasite-Ecoluddite culture.

Reading America 3.0 will provide you with a grounding for an optimism about America we want to have but for which we are afraid there isn’t much hope.

The third step is to realize that The Curse of Zero is almost over.  Harry Reid’s rule of the Senate will end in five months.  Ted Cruz will de facto rule the Senate roost instead.  2015 is going to be far different from 2014, the start of reclaiming our freedom.  Zero will be headed for the ash heap of history.

So – no more wallowing in pessimism!  Say to yourself:  We are not going to let this Hate-America White House Occupier destroy our country!  We are going to eliminate SWAT Team fascism (and civil asset forfeiture fascism), FATCA, Dodd-Frank, Sarbox, Zerocare, the EPA, and illegal amnesty, secure our borders, rebuild our military, reclaim our culture, and get our country back.

It won’t be done overnight, but we can start marching down the road to America 3.0, and bequeath to our children an optimism, a confidence that the future of America is bright, not dark.  We are not going to end up suspended above a chair with a belt around our neck.  We are going to prevail, we are going to triumph.

In short, we are going to be Americans once again.
