HALF-FULL REPORT 05/30/14

Before we dive into all the fun of this week, I really need to thank all of you who wrote such kind comments on the Forum regarding the completion of my Every Country in the World life goal.  It’s still sinking in that I’ve done this at last, and your words meant a lot to me.

By contrast, Zero’s words certainly didn’t mean very much to West Point graduating cadets when he spoke to them on Wednesday (5/28).  His speech was an "icy" disaster as described by CNN.  It was so bad that both the WaPo and the New York Times sneered at it. 

The cadets sat on their hands.  Just compare the silent response Zero got to the jubilant one his predecessor received in 2008.

Zero phoned the speech in.  It was so empty and pointless – "more mush from the wimp," as critics laughed at Jimmy Carter – that Thomas Lifson at AT thinks it signals "a presidency in deep trouble."  But that means so is America:

"While as an opponent of the president, I am glad that the truth of his incompetence is becoming more visible, as an American I am alarmed that we have two and half more years of him to survive."

As Americans celebrated Memorial Day last Monday (5/26), with soldiers being told by their Commander-in-Chief that he will "never forget" their sacrifices, US Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi is shackled in a pestilential Mexican prison cell with Zero not lifting a finger to get him out.

An innocent Marine has been railroaded by a corrupt Mexican official, Alejandro Gonzalez Guilbot, head of customs in Tijuana.  How corrupt is Guilbot?  Well, let’s see.  He’s on a government salary, and he drives a $300,000 2012 Rolls Royce Phantom.  He has a collection of luxury cars, and in addition to palatial digs in Tijuana, he owns a million-dollar home in an exclusive gated community in Houston, Texas.

There are two questions we should be asking here.  First is, why hasn’t President Never Forget sent a Delta Force team to extract Tahmooressi?  This is a Mexican hoosegow, for Pete’s sake.  Springing him should be easier than any training exercise.

Actually, this is a rhetorical question as we all know Zero hasn’t the cojones.  Thus the second and more important question:  Why hasn’t a team of ex-Delta or SEAL or MARSOC guys been assembled and gotten Tahmooressi out as a private op?  And while they’re at it, would they please torch Guilbot’s Rolls?

The Marines are fond of saying they are "your best friend, your worst enemy."  It’s time they proved it by rescuing one of their own and teaching Mexican crook-officials not to screw with America.

I’ve regarded Eric Shinseki as an impossible jerk since he was Clinton’s Army Chief of Staff – and by his unilateral decision decided to degrade the Army’s elite soldiers by issuing black berets to every soldier in the entire army.  Can you imagine how this insulted Army Rangers who earned their black berets, or the Army Special Forces who earned their green berets?

It took over ten years to rid the Army of Shinseki’s Black Beret Fiasco, when in 2011 it was replaced by a patrol cap.  Now this horse’s ass has gotten his final come-uppance by resigning as Secretary of Veteran Affairs this morning (5/30).

The continuing exposure of monumental rot pervasive throughout the entire VA health-care system doesn’t just add on yet another jaw-dropping scandal on top of Zero’s steaming manure pile of corruption.  It makes the case that the government should get out of the health care business entirely. 

If the House Pubs had any functioning neurons in their skulls, they would be defunding Obamacare in a heartbeat now, for this pictures it all.

Now, you may think that’s too big an "if" to overcome. But, something very interesting happened in the House yesterday.

On Tuesday (5/27), you read Richard Rahn’s Operation Choke Freedom denouncing the Justice Dept’s "Operation Choke Point." Glory be, last night (5/29), the House voted to defund Operation Choke Point.

This could be the start of something big.  The Senate cannot add the funding back in the budget, nor can the President.  Defunding a program is the House’s constitutional prerogative.  Let’s hope this is the beginning of a Defunding Frenzy.

Moving right along… here’s a CBS story (5/28):  New York City Launches War Against Rats.  Seems that ever since NYC got its new Marxist Mayor, Red Bill DeBlasio, Manhattan has been suffering an "epidemic" of rat infestation – packs of rats as big as cats all over the place. 

The HFR suggests the most effective rat eradication program would be to start with the Marxist rats in Gracie Mansion.  What we really need, though, is a War on the Human Rats in Washington DC.

The best news of the week comes from Merrie Olde England, where Nigel Farage and his UKIP (United Kingdom Independence Party) has caused an electoral earthquake.

The HFR first brought Nigel to your attention back in December 2010.  Scroll to the end for a delightful video of him.

UKIP is the British Tea Party.  Nigel blisters not just the Marxist Labor party and the "moderate" Liberal Democrat lefties, but the squishes of the Conservative party, especially Prime Minister David Cameron.  Last January, the HFR said Nigel’s living at No. 10 Downing Street wasn’t an absurd dream.  It’s much less absurd today.

Yet Nigel is not the HFR Hero of the Week.  That honor goes to UKIP local politician Donna Rachel Edmunds, elected to the Lewes District Council in Sussex. 

Recently, she outraged her fellow councilors when she was quoted in a newspaper interview: "All business owners, Christian, Muslim, gay, straight, should be allowed to withhold their services from whomever they chose whenever they chose. It’s their business. Why should they be forced to serve or sell to anyone?"

For this, they held a kangaroo court that ruled she must attend a re-education camp for "equalities training."  As Breitbart reports yesterday (5/29), she told them to stuff it, responding:

"I see no need for any ‘training’. I will not be attending equality training – or, as I call it – indoctrination. I will consider any further attempt by the council to make me attend to be nothing short of bullying. We do not live in a fascist state quite yet."

Yes!  The Council quickly backed down, saying, well, the training was just a suggestion anyway.  Standing up to fascist bullies is the only option.  Thanks, Donna.

UKIP wasn’t the only European Tea Party that rattled the Left’s cage this week.  Such parties are invariably dubbed "far right" by the Enemedia. 

The headline in the New York Times on Tuesday (5/27) was: Win by Far Right Party Rattles French Establishment. That would be Marine Le Pen’s National Front that won a "shocking" full quarter of the French vote with its anti-Moslem immigration stance.

The headline in the London Guardian on Sunday (5/25) was:  Far Right Takes Victory in Danish Elections.

Ever since Narendra Modi – India’s Ronald Reagan – and his BJP party won in an electoral tsunami, the world leftie press has been shrieking about The Triumph of the Right in India.

What has the world’s and America’s Enemedia freaked out is what they think this portends:  a US "far right" electoral tsunami this November.  A tsunami that not only washes Dirty Harry Reid out of his Majority Leader’s office, but that sweeps away much of the Pub Squish Elite as well.

The latest example of what scares them (the Enemedia and the Elite) is:  Sarah Palin is campaigning for Chris McDaniel today (5/30).  The Mississippi primary is next Tuesday (6/03), and McDaniel is running ahead of incumbent Republican Establishment Senator Thad Cochran, who at 76, has been in office for 36 years.  Time to go, Thad.

Time for the Pub Elite to step aside.  The tsunami is building.  It’s coming America’s way in November.
