HALF-FULL REPORT 05/02/14

It’s great to be back at the HFR ramparts.  I can’t thank Joe Katzman enough for the amazing job he did all of last month while I was gone in Yemen, Socotra, Libya, Tunisia, and Portugal.  Thanks, Joe!  And to Miko, who held down the entire TTP fort.

Here’s a quote to start things off:

"Russians are immune to both reason and the bludgeon.  The only thing you can do with a Russian is give him what he wants or kill him.  Unfortunately, even if you give him what he wants, sooner or later, you’re probably going to have to kill him anyway."

This observation made by Rail Black, the fictional hero of Wildcase, a marvelous thriller novel written by my friend of many years, Neil Russell, seems acutely apt this week.

Russian Spetsnaz spec-ops teams either in cammies with no insignia or in mufti have organized the seizure of at least 11 cities in eastern Ukraine, including the region’s capital of Donetsk.  Early this morning (5/02), the Ukraine military launched an assault to retake one of them, Slovyansk.  It is discovering it’s up against an infiltrated professional Russian military force.  This is straight-out military conquest.

Putin is denying any involvement whatsoever, and is instead denouncing Ukraine’s "criminal provocations."  Where’s Rail Black when you need him?

With Putin behaving exactly like Hitler in Sudetenland, Zero will soon have no choice but to issue "Stage III" sanctions against Russia. He began on Monday (4/28), ordering a freeze on all US assets of Igor Sechin, CEO of Rosneft, Russia’s largest oil company. 

Sechin is the KGB thug who runs the Siloviki ("people of force"), the gang of KGB thugs who control Russia’s economy.  As Putin’s closest confidante, he is the most powerful man in Russia next to Putin himself, and knows nothing whatever about oil production.  He’s a Soviet Communist who admires Castro and Che Guevara.  Rosneft is, appropriately, owned by the Kremlin.  It produces 40% of Russian production, or 2½ million barrels a day.

The next step will be to order sanctions on Rosneft itself – and not just on its assets in the US.  Treasury would pressure the compliance divisions of any Western bank to halt their handling any Rosneft transactions.  The rolling over of Rosneft’s $52 billion of debt (in dollars), due this year, would also be prevented, forcing Sechin to pay the debt in cash.

Next target:  Gazprom, the lynchpin of the Russian economy.  At this moment, Russians say they are the happiest they’ve been in 25 years – because nothing pleases them more than to bully others into subjugation.  They may not be so happy when their economy collapses.

Other than Putin’s invasion of Sudetenland Ukraine possibly triggering war between the US and USSR Russia – financial, military, covert or otherwise – the other blockbuster news of the week was the discovery of the Smoking Benghazi Gun that will blow away Hillary’s chances for 2016.

On Tuesday (4/29), Judicial Watch announced that its FOIA lawsuit against Foggy Bottom had resulted in the release of 41 State Dept. Benghazi-related documents.  We all know that Zero and the PIAPS lied through their teeth when they blamed the murders on an anti-Islam video no one had ever seen rather than Moslem terrorists – but before now, we never had the smoking gun to prove it.  Here it is:

Rhodes, as the White House deputy national security adviser, was advising folks for a conference call to UN Ambassador Susan Rice, coaching her on what to say on television news interviews.  The Benghazi terrorist attack was on the night of Tuesday Sept. 11 and early morning Wednesday Sept. 12, 2012.  The Rhodes memo is dated Friday, Sept. 14, the prep call was Saturday, and Rice appeared on all the Sunday morning news shows dutifully blaming the video as instructed.

Yet other documents show that State officials described Benghazi as an organized terrorist attack from the very start.  As the best journalist in America on the subject, Sharyl Attkinsson explains:

"Internal emails indicate that within hours of the Sept. 11, 2012 attacks on Americans in Benghazi, the State Department had already concluded with certainty that the Islamic militia terrorist group Ansar al Sharia was to blame."

Her entire report is a must-read.  It will disgust you with the Zero White House’s wholesale dishonesty.

Yesterday (5/01) on Fox News, Charles Krauthammer declared the Rhodes memo to be the equivalent of the Nixon tapes, thus comparing the scandal quotient of Benghazi to that of Watergate.  Krauthammer, note, was also scathing in his derision of Republican squishiness in pursuing the Benghazi truth.

The ire of Mona Charen at NRO was directed at Hillary.  Shortly after the attack, she explains:

"The Libyan president said that it was a planned terrorist attack. He also said that the idea that it was a ‘spontaneous protest that just spun out of control is completely unfounded and preposterous.’ Yet a well-orchestrated disinformation campaign by the Obama administration managed to put the press off the story and mislead the American people.  The brazenness and scope of the disinformation would make any KGB colonel sigh with admiration."

And at the heart of this brazenness was Hillary "What difference does it make?" Clinton.  The most disgusting moment for Charen, however, was not the heartlessness of her infamous comment at a Senate hearing, but her maintaining the lie to the parents of the killed Americans.  Right at Andrews Air Force Base with the flag-draped coffins in front of them, her words of condolence were that the man who made the video that caused their sons’ deaths would be caught and punished.

A lie to which she refuses to own up now and will always.  That’s why the Rhodes memo is such a nail in her political coffin.  The headline of the week is:  New Benghazi Emails Could Derail Hillary in 2016.

No wonder Bela Pelosi complained to CBS News yesterday (5/01), "Diversion, subterfuge, Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi. Why aren’t we talking about something else?"

Is there a more obnoxious, pretentious, arrogant, insufferable idiot than John "Three Purple Hearts" Kerry? 

On Sunday (4/27), the news broke that two days before at a closed-door meeting, he insultingly denounced Israel by claiming it would become "an apartheid state" on a moral par with racist pre-Mandela South Africa unless it agreed to his demands for a "two-state solution."

The next day (4/28), in an attempt to quell the uproar, he issued a statement saying he wished he "had chosen a different word" other than "apartheid."  But of course he didn’t apologize.  Obnoxious, pretentious, arrogant, insufferable idiots who are super-millionaires by marrying rich widows who inherited their money and never earned a dime of it just like him never apologize.

Ted Cruz, by contrast, delivered the appropriate response on the Senate floor Monday.  He demanded that Kerry resign.  Cruz ’16!

And is there a nicer, sweeter, more likeable, holier idiot than Pope Francis I?  I apologize for referring to the Pope that way, but for him to tweet, as he did on Monday (4/28), that "Inequality is the root of all social evil," is simply idiotic.  God needs to whisper some understanding of basic economics in his ear, and blow the socialist cobwebs out of his brain.

The only way to achieve the absence of his "inequality" is through fascism, forcing at the point of a gun a brain surgeon to make no more money than a pizza delivery kid. 

Or if he wants some fantasy that it be strictly voluntary, then let it start with him and his institution, which has fantastic levels of hierarchic inequality.  Let all Catholic priests be equal in stature and material benefits.  No more Popes, Cardinals, Bishops.  Just Priests who all eat the same food, have the same level of material comfort, and none of whom has more authority or superiority than any other.

The great social disease infecting Catholicism is Anti-Capitalism.  It’s a strange disease for an incredibly wealthy institution to have.

The French Revolution succeeded in overthrowing the Ancien Régime not because the peasants wanted to get rid of the aristocracy, but because the Catholic Church was far and away the biggest landowner in France, and the Revolution’s leaders seized all the Church lands, distributing it to the peasants. Once the peasants were landowners, no matter how bad the subsequent Reign of Terror became, the old days were gone for good.

I could go on, but suffice it to say, let the equality Francis desires start with him.  Then someone, please, give him a copy of Hayek’s The Road to Serfdom or Von Mises’ Human Action.

Zero says the botched execution of a murderer in Oklahoma was "deeply troubling" for him.  It really bothered him that Clayton Lockett took 47 minutes to die writhing in pain instead of quickly via lethal injection.  He expressed no such emotional turmoil over what Lockett did to earn his fate – and even had the vile gall to intimate that "racial bias" might have been involved.  Lockett was black. 

He was also a scumbag monster who killed 19 year-old Stephanie Nieman in cold blood, then confessed showing absolutely no remorse whatever.  The only injustice regarding him is that it took 15 years to remove him from the gene pool.

And who is the HFR Hero of the Week?  Obviously it’s Dr. James Dobson, whom I’m proud to know as a friend.  Yesterday (5/01), he labeled Zero as "The Abortion President," and said in a public speech:

"The creator will not hold us guiltless if we turn a deaf ear to the cries of innocent babies, so come and get me, Mr. President, if you must, I will not yield to your wicked regulations."

Good for you, Jim.  You have our thanks and appreciation.
