HALF-FULL REPORT 01/03/14

OK – welcome to 2014!  What’s in store for the world this year?  Beats me.  How should I know?  The future hasn’t happened yet. 

We can be supremely confident that the sun will without exception continue to rise in the east (although I did see the sun set in the east and rise in the west one day – it’s a story), that there will be a full moon this coming January 16, and that ostriches will not spontaneously turn into elephants on the Serengeti Plains.

The laws of physics and nature will continue to hold.  Beyond that, regarding human activity predictions have to be heavily larded with caveats, because there’s no way of telling when black swans will appear out of the ether to bite us in the glutes, or what random grain of sand will collapse a country’s sand pile.

So let’s talk of possibilities and opportunities.  For the fact is that there’s no such thing as the future.  Instead, there is a very large number of possible futures – with some being much more likely than others.  What might they be?

Let’s hop around the world a bit first before focusing on the US.

You’re going to hear a lot about 1914 this year, and various "hair-triggers" that if pulled will plunge us into a 21^st century World War I.  The finger on the most dangerous such trigger is Chinese. 

Xi Jinping is making very loud noises about reforming his economy – getting rid of corruption and profitless state-owned enterprises, etc. – as the Chicom economy is in trouble.  In the last four years – 2009-2012 – the Chicom credit system has exploded from $9 trillion to $24 trillion, or 400% of a $8 trillion GDP.

The result is that China is running out of cash, with businesses and bankers now using a shadow currency.  No wonder that at the end of 2013, China has the worst-performing stock market in Asia.

Little wonder that Xi is ramping up the jingoism, demonizing China’s favorite foreign devil, the Japanese.  Yesterday (01/02), Xi’s Ambassador to Britain, Liu Xiaoming, compared Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to – believe it or not – the arch villain of the Harry Potter books, Lord Voldemort. It’s called Juvenile Diplomacy.

Japan under the evil Abe, you see, has become "a serious threat to global peace" according to Liu and Xi for having the intolerable effrontery to stand up to Chicom imperialism.  So China claims Japanese islands in the East China Sea, threatens war if Japan doesn’t surrender them – and Japan is the aggressor, the "threat to peace."  Yep, that’s the Chicom way.

And Zero is egging them on with his ridiculously incompetent, feckless foreign policy.  That’s why the Chicoms almost have to precipitate a war with Japan – because they are sure that Zero doesn’t have the spine to back Japan, thus precipitating a China-US war.  China’s defeat of Japan and humiliation of America is a prize too tempting not to go for.  So the odds are they will.

The other big story in Asia this year, as positive as China is negative, is in India.  The story has a name – Narendra Modi, about whom we first learned from TTPer Karma Singh last October.  Last month, as mentioned in the HFR of 12/13, Modi’s pro-capitalist BJP party wiped the floor in state elections with the corrupt ruling Congress Party, which suffered an "election meltdown." 

Congress is in such a panic that today (01/03) in New Delhi, its leader, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, announced he would not run for reelection, then freaked out in an attack on Modi.  Yes, Modi’s premiership would be "disastrous," but for the corrupt Congress Party and the swarms of bribe-demanding officials infesting every layer of society, not India.

In response, the leader of a rival opposition party, KJP, declared (01/03) his party would merge with BJP, as "Narendra Modi is the only hope" for India.  In addition, while Congress accuses Modi of being a Hindu nationalist, he’s getting the enthusiastic support of India’s Christians.

India’s general election has to be held before May 31.  It will be the most important in independent India’s history.  If Modi wins decisively, a tsunami of foreign investment will surge into India.  Expect, by the way, the Chicoms to try to sabotage Modi for this very reason.  India is China’s only rival for Asian Superpower status, and with Modi at the helm, that status can be achieved. 

We hope Karma Singh will be providing us with updates as we approach the May election.  A pro-freedom, pro-capitalist India would be a major world achievement for 2014.

The one place in the world you most don’t want to be next month is Sochi, Russia.

This week, on Sunday (12/29) and less than 24 hours later on Monday (12/30), there were two deadly Moslem suicide bombings in Volgograd (World War II’s Stalingrad) as a clear prelude to what Putin’s Winter Olympics could expect.

Pooty-poot bragged he would "annihilate" the terrorist threat to Sochi – but the Russians have been trying and failing to do that for over 400 years, as we saw in A History of the Threat of Chechnya from May last year.  Note where Sochi is on the map – on the left side, immediately next door to the Moslem North Caucasus.

Putin was stupidly hubristic to bribe the Olympic Committee to hold its Winter Games there.  So now, Hubris meets Nemesis in Sochi.  Don’t be there.

Trouble is brewing big time in Russia’s neighbor across the Black Sea – and it couldn’t happen to bigger Islamist jerks.

For the past ten years, Turkey’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan (air-doh-wahn) has been in cahoots with another Islamist, Fethullah Gulen, to steadily destroy the secular Kemalist heritage of modern Turkey and replace it with Medieval Islam.

While Erdogan eviscerated Turkey’s military whose generals were proudly Kemalist – half of Turkey’s navy admirals along with over 400 army generals and officers are in prison – Gulen’s cult believers took over police departments and media outlets all over the country.

As a result, Reporters Without Borders calls Turkey "The world’s biggest prison for journalists."  More journalists are in jail in Turkey than in any other country on earth, including Iran and China.

But now, Erdogan and Gulen are at each other’s throats.  Last month, Gulen’s police arrested the sons of several members of Erdogan’s cabinet and inner circle on corruption charges.  The charges are undoubtedly true (see the link, it’s really juicy).  Erdogan exploded in anger, and last week, people in the streets exploded in anger against him.

Evidently, Gulen can’t handle Erdogan’s increasing megalomania any more, and is now determined to see his overthrow.  This Islamist civil war won’t be pretty, and hopefully they’ll destroy each other in the process.  The outcome we want is for the anti-Islamist, pro-West secular Kemalists to come out on top.  It’s possible.  Keep your eye on Turkey for 2014.

There’s another civil war quickly emerging in the Middle East – between Shia and Sunni, Islam’s Protestants and Catholics.  The latter don’t slaughter each other anymore (except recidivistically in Northern Ireland), but during their Reformation/Counter-Reformation wars from 1525 to 1648, they killed each other in the millions (yes, literally, in the millions). 

Will such megadeath occur between Shia and Sunni – between Iran and Saudis, along with their allies?  It sure could if Iran’s mullahs get nukes – which of course, Zero is doing zero, nothing whatever, to prevent.

The Saudis will have no choice but to bribe Pakistan into giving them nukes of their own – which they will use preemptively.   There is only one way to prevent this.  Bibi Netanyahu, with Saudi cooperation, has to take Tehran out. 

My personal preference is for Operation Samson to obliterate Tehran’s Presidential Palace, Majlis (Parliament), and the HQs of the Pasdaran (Revolutionary Guard), Al Quds Force (terrorist operators), and Basiji (regime thugs) with SLBMs.  That’ll do the trick.  As one of the mullah’s heroes once explained, "No person, no problem."

2014 looks to be the year that Bibi has to fish or cut bait.

2014 looks also to be the year that we, the American people, fish or cut bait regarding the Fascist Nanny Police State our country is fast becoming.  The massive danger is this: Whenever Zero and his Democrat Fascists are on the verge of losing, they double down.

Zerocare will be the most gargantuan humungous disaster, and you can bet your bippy that Zero along with his Enemedia chorus will not back down a fraction of an inch, insisting instead that there are no problems and whatever problems there are, are the fault of Republican sabotage.

Which is why Krauthammer’s WaPo column today (01/03) is a clarion call:  Stop the Bailout – Now.  This is the Must Read today.  Charles sees where the debacle is heading: a taxpayer-funded umpteen-billion dollar bailout of healthcare insurance companies – the same phony-crony capitalist pigs who thought they were going to cash in on the Zerocare scam. No way José is what every patriot in America should be writing their Congresscritter.

Another example is the Warmist Hoax. 

We can all laugh ourselves silly about the goofy warmists getting trapped in Antarctic ice they thought was melting – topped off by their getting rescued by a Chicom icebreaker that is as of today (01/03) itself trapped in ice.  Half the country is freezing to death and Canada is colder than Mars.  None of this matters.

To understand why, you must grasp this: Climate garbage in, religious garbage out.

The evidence that there has been no "global warming" for the last 17 years; that warmist computer models fail to account for the Medieval Warming Period and can’t accurately predict the weather next month much less a century from now; that ice cores consistently show that over millions of years, atmospheric CO2 increase comes centuries after a warming period not before (more CO2 is an effect, not a cause of warming); that CO2 is a trace gas and man-made CO2 is a trace of a trace, less than 1/10^th of 1% of the atmosphere’s greenhouse gases (95% of which is natural water vapor) – all of this is contemptuously dismissed by warmists.

That’s because Warmism is not science, it is religious fanaticism.  It is believed in not on the basis of empirical disconfirmable evidence, but on willful irrational dogma.  Warmism is the Religion of the Left.

The God of the Left, what it worships, is Power – their power and control over us.  That’s why the Left is irretrievably Fascist.  To call Lefties "Marxists" or "Socialists" or "Communists" misses the point.  Marxism, et al was only the intellectual or ideological rationale as an excuse, a means, to achieve their goal of power over others.

With the failure of Marxism caused by the disintegration of the Soviet Union, the Left needed another rationale – and Warmism was it.  It hit all the bases:  control people via control of carbon, the very basis of life; plus it supplied lefties who had abandoned Christianity (which most all lefties have) with the need to feel guilt over their sinful nature – "We’re destroying the planet!  It’s all our fault!  We must sacrifice and live in a cave and use only one sheet of toilet paper!" – yet had no salvation through Christ.

Thus right in the teeth of everyone freezing and overwhelming evidence that Warmism is a crock, one of science’s most prestigious peer-reviewed journals, Nature, comes out yesterday (01/02) with this double-down claim that it’s going to get hotter than ever.

Thus Drudge’s main blaring headline yesterday linked to the London Telegraph’s report on the Nature article:

World’s Climate Warming Faster Than Feared, Scientists Say

Immediately suspecting that instead of "scientists," the headline should have read, "Leftist Religious Kooks Say," I emailed Skye to ask:  "Is this as much of a crock of confirmation bias gobbledygook as I think?"

His answer:  "Yup. More modeling GIGO. First, they do compare their lower tropospheric mixing computer model to radiosonde data – but to only 10 radiosonde stations over a two year period.  Talk about cherry picking!  There is a huge amount of radiosonde data that was acquired over the past 3/4 century.  Any climate model that fails to compare their predictions of past conditions with a large body of past data is BS on stilts."

He went into more points and technical detail which perhaps he’ll provide in the Forum.  But just this first point alone shows that the Nature article is a total fraud.  Yet the Leftie blogosphere is blaring it to the moon.  Here’s an example on Slate.

So maybe 2014 will be the year the Warmist Hoax finally dies due to overwhelming evidence it’s just that.  Maybe this year will be a "tipping point" against the hoax because the AT smells it coming. 

But we must keep in razor sharp focus that the fight with the Left is a fight to the knife.  It is a street fight where there are no rules and there is no such thing as "fighting fair."  You do whatever it takes to win – because that’s the way the Left plays it, and if we don’t, we lose.

The worse it gets for them, the more they will double down, the more vicious they will be.  Expect this from Zero at every turn.  Expect this from every Dem, from every Enemedia yellow journalist.  They will not fight fair, so we have no obligation to.  We must adopt Ronald Reagan’s dictum with the Soviets:  "We win – they lose."

And always remember:  Reagan won.  America won the Cold War.  We can win against Zero and the Fascist Left in 2014 – as long as we are willing to do whatever it takes.

One of my best buddies in Congress is Steve Stockman (R-TX).  Steve is giving up his safe House seat in order to challenge John Cornyn in the Senate.  Steve is so hardcore cool that he started the year by accepting bitcoins as campaign donations.

Then he topped this with the Tweet of the Year (okay, the year is three days old, but it’s still awesome), entitled The Best Gun Lubricant.  We should all step up to the plate and go to bat for Stockman for Senate.
