CELEBRATING LIFE ON THE DAY OF DEATH

This has got to be the best picture from yesterday’s March for Life.  It was truly an extraordinary event – hundreds of thousands of pro-lifers marching from the White House to the Supreme Court in bitterly below-freezing cold, and doing so in good cheer.

Actually, the event in Washington DC was only one of many Marches for Life that took place in cities all over the country on the 41st anniversary of the Supreme Court’s most hideous – and ludicrously unconstitutional – decisions, Roe v. Wade, on January 22, 1973.

It’s pretty easy to understand – inhuman not to, in fact – why people would be passionately anti-abortion, and be morally revolted by a mother killing her own child.

The obverse is more difficult.  While it may be understandable that under certain circumstances of a woman’s life, she could feel that terminating her pregnancy was her only solution, what is unfathomable is the hysterical, fanatical frenzy of passion that consumes pro-abortionists.

It’s clinically pathological.   It’s one of the clearest markers that folks on the Left aren’t just mistaken, they’re deranged.  What were the villains of the Harry Potter novels called?  Death-eaters.  That’s them.  The good news is that an increasing majority of Americans looks upon them as such.  Even better news is that the reason this number is increasing is because it’s composed of Millennials – young folks 30 and under.

It’s instructive to study the latest Marist Poll on Abortion in America, conducted last month (12/13) and released this week.  The first thing to do is ignore the first graphic claiming that 50% of Americans are Pro-Choice and only 46% are Pro-Life.  Drilling down, you quickly see the detailed stats belie this.  For example:

*84% of Americans believe abortion should be restricted to within the first three months of pregnancy, in cases of rape/incest or to save the life of the mother;  or never allowed at all.

*49% of extreme pro-abortionists ("strongly support pro-choice") want abortion allowed only during the first trimester.

*74% of all Americans want abortion to be completely banned after 20 weeks, with saving the life of the mother the only exception.

*Regardless of the extent to which they think abortion should be legal or illegal, 62% of Americans think abortion is immoral.

Yet it is at the very end you find what may be the most portentous of the poll’s findings.  People were asked with which of these two statements they agreed:

#1.  Government laws should be observed without exception even if it restricts religious freedom
#2.  Freedom of religion should be protected even if it goes against government laws

Marist broke down the answer by generation:

Millennials (born 1982-2004). #1: 21%  #2: 74% (Unsure: 5%)
Gen X (1961-1981). #1: 22%  #2: 71% (8%)
Boomers (1943-1960).  #1: 22%  #2: 70% (9%)
Pre-Boomer (before 1943).  #1: 15%  #2: 74%  (10%)

Is that cool or what?  How totally American to believe that freedom, and of religion in particular, is more important than obeying laws that curtail it.

This alone tells you that the Curse of Zero is an aberration which will be overcome.  Especially since it’s Millennials who will do it.

Just look at the March for Life – the majority of marchers were young, twenty-somethings, college and high school kids.  That’s America’s future marching for life.  That can bring tears to your eyes.

As my buddy Rebecca Hagelin explains, The Pro-Life Movement is now led by young adults.  As Kristan Hawkins of Students for Life explains, "This isn’t your grandmother’s pro-life movement anymore."

But it sure is your grandmother’s pro-abortion movement – old, uncool, unhip, and out of it.  That’s one reason that the Guttmacher Institute is reporting that there were "More state abortion restrictions enacted in 2011-2013 than in entire previous decade."

Yes, many of these were in Red states, while Blue states remain regressive.  But as Michael New points out, a good many of these restrictions were in "Purple" or swing states like Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.  Good luck to the Dems, who think pro-abortion is the way to win in November.

Yet, PTL, that’s exactly what the Demtards intend to do!  They really think, according to the New York Times on Monday (1/20), that their pro-abortion "War on Women" propaganda will prevent electoral disaster.  Go for it, losers!  As Dr. Ben Carson says in TTP this week, "Attempting to characterize love and compassion for human life as a ‘war on women’ is deceitful and pathetic."

Which brings us to the wonderful political demise of Abortion’s Golden Girl, Wendy Davis.  Nothing exposes the brain-deadness of Demtards than making an iconic hero of this dumb blonde who unsuccessfully filibustered a bill in the Texas Senate to ban abortions after 20 weeks.

Not ban abortion immediately at conception, not at 12 weeks, but at 20!  As we saw, 74% of all Americans want this, which includes every blue state – and this is Texas!  Didn’t anyone teach her and her idolizers to pick their battles?  No way – the Demtards think she’s their ticket to recapturing the governorship and turning Texas Blue!  I kid you not.

In case you hadn’t noticed, Wendy died last Saturday (1/18).  The Dallas Morning News killed her – politically that is – exposing the lies she’s been telling all her political life.  And ba-da-boom, she’s toast.  The Fort-Worth Star-Telegram finished her off on Tuesday (1/21).

Want some frosting on this cake?  This is so delicious you’ll faint.  The most regressively libtard shyster ambulance-chasing law firm in Texas, Mostyn Law, donated $1 million to Davis’ gubernatorial campaign last month.  These ambulance-chasers just poured a million bucks right down a pro-death rathole.  Doesn’t that give you the warm fuzzies?

This morning (1/23), the Dallas Morning News ran an editorial surveying the damage wrought upon The Wendy Davis Story.  Note the last line:

"Texans want candidates for major office to be ready to step away from the window dressing and present their unvarnished selves to voters."

How noble.  Did the DMN – card-carrying member of the Enemedia – ever demand this of Zero?  He is the most fully varnished president in history by orders of magnitude.  He’s also an unvarnished pro-death, pro-abortion-for-any-reason-whatever-up-to-and-including-actual-birth president that future generations will look upon as mystifyingly evil.

The first of these generations – the Millennials – are beginning to realize that now.  They will celebrate life.  And they will make the Day of Death – January 22 – a sad but distant memory.
