Jack Kelly sure is right – Christmas has indeed come one week early.  Not only has there been the series of judicial decisions he itemizes – but day before yesterday, the clueless losers trying to con twenty-somethings into buying Zerocare completely and totally jumped the shark.

Just in case you got lost in the Asteroid Belt and didn’t see it, Zero’s two-digit IQ lobbyists of OFA (Organizing for America) actually tweeted this pitch:

o_pajama_boy.png
The nerdy metrosexual twit in his onesies is an OFA employee named Ethan Krupp.  Dubbed "Pajama Boy," the tweet has gone instantly mega-viral with a tsunami of ridicule and mockery flooding the internet.  Two samples plucked from the flood:

The mockery has been so gigantic that the Left is pretending the ad is a "troll" meant to sucker conservatives into angrily publicizing it to the moon.  It’s idiotic to believe that’s the purpose of the ad.  Megan McArdle normally isn’t dumb, but she’s the one who’s been "trolled," not the millions who are laughing at how lame Zerocare is.

That’s really the death knell.  Not only is Zerocare and thus Zero infuriating young voters along with just about everyone else, Pajama Boy has made it and him the worst thing possible in young eyes:  uncool, pitiful, poser, loser, unhip… LAME.  A politician can handle being hated, but not being a joke.  Being an uncool lame joke is as bad as it gets, and Pajama Boy just sealed the deal.

For more hilarity, let’s first ask a rhetorical question:  how many among New York City’s professional and cultural elite voted for and are worshippers of Zero?  Most all, right?  So here’s this delicious article in the New York Times about how they are getting screwed by Zerocare.

The Grey Lady at least recognizes the irony.  The folks getting screwed, the article admits, "are exactly the sort of people – liberal, concerned with social justice – who supported the Obama health plan in the first place."

It quotes one of them, a lawyer, as saying "she was a lifelong Democrat who still supported better health care for all, but had she known what was in store for her, she would have voted for Mitt Romney."

Well, for all of New Yorkers’ smarts, as Forrest Gump says, "Stupid is as stupid does."

Pretty clear who the HFR Hero of the Week is.  Who else but Duck Dynasty‘s Phil Robertson?

On Wednesday (12/18), an interview of him for the January issue of GQ Magazine was published on the GQ website, What The Duck?  If you can ignore the writer’s juvenile attempt to be hip by using four-letter words in every other sentence, it’s a good read.  Robertson and his family clearly are actual Christians who take their faith with deepest sincerity.

But when Phil quotes 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 that places homosexuals along with drunkards, thieves, and swindlers who will be denied the Kingdom of God, and says, "It seems like, to me, a vagina-as a man-would be more desirable than a man’s anus. That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying?" – all Leftie hell broke loose.

Within hours after GLAAD and other homosexual activists demanded he be fired, A&E (the cable network carrying the show) complied, issuing a statement condemning Robertson’s "inflammatory comments," and proclaiming itself "champions of the LGBT community."

As Arnold would say, "Big mistake."  A Boycott A&E Until Phil Robertson Is Put Back On Duck Dynasty Facebook page went up yesterday (12/19) and within 24 hours has 1.5 million "Likes."  The We Stand With Phil page is up to 1.3 million.

Not just Rush, Hannity, Sarah Palin, and Ted Cruz are supporting Phil, but so is Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal:

"Phil Robertson and his family are great citizens of the State of Louisiana. The politically correct crowd is tolerant of all viewpoints, except those they disagree with… In fact, I remember when TV networks believed in the First Amendment. It is a messed up situation when Miley Cyrus gets a laugh, and Phil Robertson gets suspended."

The most devastating criticism, however, came from the proudly lesbian Camille Paglia, who denounced the "utterly Fascist, utterly Stalinist" intolerance of gay activists:

"I think that this intolerance by gay activists toward the full spectrum of human beliefs is a sign of immaturity, juvenility. This is not the mark of a true intellectual life. This is why there is no cultural life now in the U.S. Why nothing is of interest coming from the major media in terms of cultural criticism. Why the graduates of the Ivy League with their A, A, A+ grades are complete cultural illiterates, because they are not being educated in any way to give respect to opposing viewpoints."

Phil Robertson has ignited a firestorm of a backlash against Regressive Political Correctness at exactly the right moment, when the Left has overreached on all fronts.  Americans are the most tolerant people on the planet, yet the Left never ceases to call them racist and homophobic no matter how much tolerance they extend.

Finally and at last, Americans seem ready to say enough is enough.  Zerocare is being ruled unconstitutional, as is the NSA Surveillance State.  The Left’s Holy Grail of controlling everyone’s medical care has become a travesty of incompetence, a tragedy for millions needing that care, and a Pajama Boy joke.

Robertson is a catalyst for an Anti-PC rebellion that has been building for a long time against the Left’s relentless degradation of our culture.  Our live-and-let-live tolerance has been used as a weapon against us.  There’s hardly a conservative in the country, much less most all others, who would advocate the illegalization of homosexuality, as in India. No one cares if someone is "gay" anymore.  What they do privately is their own business, and certainly not the State’s.

But fanatical advocacy of "same-sex marriage," and the hate-filled condemnation of anyone who opposes it and them has exposed the "gay activist" lobby as totalitarians.  Paglia is right.  They are Fascists and Stalinists, as are their other brethren in the Regressive Left.

Robertson and Paglia are opening people’s eyes to this.  There will be many more open eyes in 2014.

Additional evidence of more open eyes came with the Gallup poll Wednesday (12/18), revealing that a record number of Americans – 72%! – see "big government" as a greater threat to their freedom than "big business" or "big labor."  This is welcoming news.

Now if we can just get people to grasp the collusion between all three.  As Mark Krikorian argues (12/17), it’s time for the GOP to have a "Sister Souljah" moment and divorce itself from big business anti-free market subsidy-begging cronyism.  But that is just what John Boehner and his War-on-the-Tea-Party are part of.

Milton Friedman once told me, "The two most anti-capitalist groups in America are university professors and big corporate businessmen."  Mark Levin gets it.  The US Chamber is not composed of real capitalists, but corporatists.

It’s such a shame that Paul Ryan has sold out to them.  His budget deal, says Levin, is "a huge bipartisan vote to increase spending and increase the debt."  It is time for the Tea Parties to declare war on the US Chamber and other business lobbyists whoring for handouts.

Prescience Update.  Last Friday (12/13) after the HFR came out, a Utah judge ruled laws banning polygamy are unconstitutional.

Shortly after the Massachusetts Supreme Court declared there was an alleged right for homosexuals to marry out of constitutional thin air ten years ago, I wrote: PHM: The Next Insanity.  It’s taken a while, but ten years later, its advocacy is right around the bend.

On Monday (12/16), the headline read:  China Lands on Moon While US Space Shuttle Sits in Museums.

How we allowed this to happen, how our landing on the moon caused us to retreat from being America is explained in Aeschylus and America.  It was written in August 2004.  It’s worth re-reading now.

America is not the only country to masochistically screw itself.  Chile has done just that.  Chile had propelled itself into First World prosperity, alone among every other nation from south of the Rio Grande to Cape Horn, by electing a pro-capitalist and self-made billionaire businessman as president, Sebastian Piñera.

Chileans said adios to all that when they elected leftie socialist Michelle Bachelet on Sunday (12/15).  As the IBD noted, she did so by aligning herself with her country’s "communists and spoiled student protest leaders."  The IBD asks, "What drives a country to reject success?"  Bachelet won in a landslide.  Now Chile is going to slide straight downhill.  Chileans will have no one to blame but themselves.  Just like Americans.

Let’s close on an optimistic note – perhaps the best news of the year.  And it comes from Mexico.

Today (12/20), Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto signed into law the end of the Pemex government monopoly on oil production.  Pemex is the most corrupt company on earth.  The new law, which actually revises the constitution, strips all five union leaders from the Pemex board.  Oil production in Mexico is at last open to foreign investment.

That includes Mexico’s part of the Gulf, which Kermit tells me has so many billions of barrels it dwarfs the Bakken.  And only American oilcos have the skills and technology to extract it.

Folks, this is a big deal – rrreally big, as Ed Sullivan would say.

It is a major step out of Mexico’s pit of corruption.  It is a huge boost for the Mexican economy that can reverse the flow of illegals back to Mexico for jobs.  The only true solution for our illegal alien invasion is a prospering Mexico.  And further, it is the final nail in the Middle East’s oil coffin.

On Monday (12/16), the EIA predicted that in 2014, the US will hit an all-time oil production record – thanks to fracking.  It’s not going to be long before the US is the world’s largest oil producer, bigger than Russia or the Saudis.

Put that together with Canada’s tar sands and Mexico getting Pemex out of the way, and little wonder Bloomberg predicted (12/16) that soon, "North America will be drowning in oil."

US-Canada-Mexico is going to become the world’s dominant energy giant, exporting oil and gas to Asia and Europe obliterating Russia’s energy chokehold on Europe, and the strategic importance of Moslem Middle East producers.  Shias and Sunnis can carry on their murderous civil war but we don’t need a dog in that hunt.

Israel will be fully free with our support to protect itself. If energy-hungry China wants our oil and gas, well, they had better be good little boys and play nice with the world.

There’s so much good news like this on the horizon.  Just look at what happened this week.  Zero has become a Pajama Boy.  There’s a lot to be merry about this Christmas.
