HALF-FULL REPORT 05/10/13

Good grief – let’s see if I still remember how to do this.  I can’t believe the last HFR I wrote was  February 22.  I’ve been gone that long.  Then again, there’s an Agence France Presse story this week (5/09) about scientists revealing that "Adventure Shapes the Individual."

The more exploratory you are, the more new neurons grow in your brain – even in adulthood, a process called adult neurogenesis – particularly in a structure of the brain called the hippocampus, responsible for learning and memory. 

AFP made a news story out of the research report appearing in today’s (5/10) issue of Science, the world’s premier journal of peer-reviewed science. Nonetheless, I learned about the connection between adventure and hippocampal neurogenesis a long time ago from Skye. 

So let’s hope all the exploration I’ve been doing in the South Atlantic worked, as I have to get up to speed fast.  First, though, I want to thank Jack Kelly so very much for his marvelous HFRs while I’ve been gone.  I’m going to have a tough time now doing as well.

The PIAP’s chances for 2016 died this week.  The problem is, rats like Hillary and her husband have nine lives like the Republican pussies in Congress they eat.  Those pussies have been handed an opportunity this week to put her presidential chances away for good, but will Issa & Co let it evaporate into the ether like they did with Fast & Furious? 

Remember Fast & Furious?  Most Americans don’t, as it was "so long ago," as Jay Carney would say.

It will take someone who’s not a pussy, someone of real GOP presidential timber like Sen. Ted Cruz, to carpe diem, to denounce her publicly and repeatedly, condemn her for her lying cowardice regarding her responsibility for the Moslem madmen murders of four Americans including her Ambassador, and drill it into even lo-fo brains that she has destroyed herself for 2016.

Then he should demand her criminal prosecution for her culpability in the deaths of Ambassador Christopher Stevens, State Department Foreign Service Officer Sean Smith, and private security contractors for the State Department, Navy SEALs Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods at the State Department consulate in Benghazi, Libya on September 12, 2012.

On Sunday (5/05), James Carville announced on ABC News that Ted Cruz was "the most talented and fearless Republican politician I’ve seen in the last 30 years."  Prove it, Ted.  Take Hillary out now while you can.  If you don’t, you can bet the White House that she will rise from the dead.

In an op-ed appearing in tomorrow’s print edition of the Washington Times, but was just posted on its online edition this afternoon, Sen. Rand Paul got a jump on Cruz, and denounced Hillary for not resigning over Benghazi, saying that she "should never hold high office again."  Over to you, Ted.  Show us why Business Insider is today (5/10) calling you "Senator Badass."

The good news in the Bengahzi Hearings is the damage they are doing to Hillary.  The bad news is that it’s a fantasy to think they will damage Zero.

Roger Simon of PJ Media opines (5/04) that Zero could be impeached over Benghazi.  Dick Morris thinks Benghazi could be "Obama’s end."  In your dreams.  The reason is that the cabal dominating American media is not composed of journalists but of acolytes in a religious cult. 

As with all cults, no doubts in the object of their worship are permitted, and the greater the evidence against that object, the more they must prove their faith by dismissing it.  For them, the very concept of disconfirming evidence against their faith is unintelligible.  This is what all cults have in common, be they Scientologists regarding L. Ron Hubbard, Norks regarding Kim Jong-il, Warmist scientists  regarding global warming, or the media regarding Zero.

A perfect example of this was provided by the White House Press Corps yesterday (5/09).  The press pool aboard Air Force One (Zero was flying to Texas) asked Jay Carney only one single question about the Benghazi Hearings the day before (5/08) – and even that was tangential. 

Republicans in Congress, the conservative media and blogosphere, can fulminate all they want, explain all the lies, damning testimony, and Zero’s culpability until they asphyxiate themselves – and it won’t matter.  Benghazi, as Jack Kelly explained, cannot be Watergate, although it is a far worse scandal, because it is unthinkable that the Washington Punditocracy would wage war upon Zero as it did on Nixon.

Not gonna happen. 

Breaking News!  As I’m writing this, a panelist on the MSNBC – MSNBC! – afternoon show Now, Michael Tomasky of Newsweek/Daily Beast, said on national television that the Benghazi scandal is becoming "a potentially impeachment issue."  All cults have apostates.  Let’s hope there will be more.

However… while may be no use hoping and looking for a silver bullet to rid us of this Vampire President in one go, it’s possible to dismantle his presidency the way you eat an elephant:  one bite at a time. 

The IBD gave a good example on Monday (5/06), when it explained that "The ObamaCare Train Wreck Is Already Here."  This is the gift that will keep on giving, wrecking the Dems’ chances of taking the House next year. 

We got a preview of 2014 Tuesday (5/07), when disgraced South Carolina ex-Gov Mark Sanford wiped the floor with the sister of smart-ass moonbat comedian Stephen Colbert by 9 points in a special Congressional election.  It’s so funny that the CommieMedia will ignore any immoralities of a Dem candidate, but will ridicule and demonize those of any Pub.  So they are all full of puffed-up outrage over Sanford, like this libtard in the New Yorker.

Sanford’s real sin, you see, was that he committed heterosexual adultery.  All would have been forgiven if he were a governor who resigned because he committed homosexual adultery, like Jim McGreevy.  Sanford lost his mind due to the oral talents of an Argentine temptress.  It’s a moral fallibility that often affects politicians.  How do you think Carla Bruni roped former French President Nicolas Sarkozy away from his wife?

But will the CommieMedia let Sanford get away with a heart-felt mea culpa?  No way – and no matter.  Just think of how bitter and afraid they and the Dems are that Sanford’s easy victory presages the GOP keeping the House in 2014.

Zero’s biggest humiliation of the week was the incredibly successful NRA Convention in Houston.  86,000 attendees, 550 booths, Rick Perry and Sarah Palin giving firebreather speeches, the middle finger salute to Zero with the new NRA motto Stand and Fight!, and the announcement that NRA membership has exploded to five million members.

It was a joyous celebration of NRA’s victory over Zero-Dem gun control legislation last month.  The biggest standing ovation was given to Sarah Palin.  And she gave the audience their biggest foot-stomping laugh when she described the CommieMedia as "poodle-skirted cheerleaders" for Zero, "a president who wrote the book on exploiting tragedy."

Taking a cue from Margaret Thatcher, Sarah also gave the intellectually deepest line of recent times.  She said, "Freedom is destroying itself," and gave several examples of how it is.  Think about that.  You could think about that for quite a while.  Thanks, Sarah. Her speech is worth watching and thinking about entire:

More humiliation.  Yesterday (5/09), Senate Pubs like Jeff Sessions have White House, Senate Democrats Seething over how they managed to block the vote on Zero’s fascist nominee to run the EPA, Gina McCarthy.  The day before yesterday (5/08), Senate Pubs blocked the vote on racist-Marxist Thomas Perez to be Labor Secretary.

Also yesterday, Boehner and McConnell announced they (meaning House and Senate Pubs together) will do what it takes to block the implementation of ObamaCare’s Death Panel, the Independent Payment Advisory Board.  A good two day’s work on the Hill.

Yet as Aristotle observed, "One swallow does not make a summer, nor does one fine day" – or even two on Capitol Hill.  Zero is on his heels, the PIAPS is damaged severely, the Pubs are getting feisty.  This is all good.  We should not bet it will last.  We are up against ruthless, immoral people who will do anything to keep their power over us – and extend it. 

The NRA is right:  Stand up and fight.  Sarah is right:  the future of freedom is at stake.  It’s a fight we can win – but only if we figure out specifically how, if we identify the weaknesses and vulnerabilities of Leviathan, then exploit them to the max.  We’ll be launching this process next week. 

Meantime, I know you’ll do your best to make your mother, the mother of your children, the mother of a friend, happy on Sunday.  Happy Mother’s Day to all Moms – we sure as heck wouldn’t be here without you.
