We call TTP "The Oasis for Rational Conservatives" – and this week proves yet again that the heart of this oasis is the Forum.  Peruse, e.g., the discussion on Capt. Petronio’s Get Over It! to see why (click on the Discuss link at the bottom – to see all the comments in one sequence, click on Flat View in the top bar).

As an example, after citing instances of Zero purposefully creating Cloward-Piven chaos such as never-ending debt, gun control, and illegal citizenship, "hswern" concludes:

"Folks, there is a coup in slow motion going on; we all feel it. Step back from each head-scratching wall-banging decrees from DC and see the all the dots on the board. Connect them: this is how the Marxist takeover is being done. Chaos. Hypocrisy. Words that are contrary to actions. We read history and wonder about the Maos, Stalins, Hitlers, Mussolinis and countless other dictators/autocrats/authoritarian regimes; the millions of wasted lives; the surrendering of the masses to a few in govt. We wonder how these atrocities are and were allowed to happen. Didn’t people see what was going on? Nowadays we have the internet, instant news. We have no excuse to offer history."

History never takes sides, it has no mandate for progress whatever.  It can go forward, backwards, or straight into the ground.  This is an astonishingly unique historical moment we are witnessing.  The only nation in history founded on the principle of the subordination of government to its citizens, that created the richest and most successful nation ever to exist because of that principle, has been steadily renouncing that principle to where it is right now on the very brink of committing national suicide.

History has never seen a moment like this before – and we are more than witnessing it, we are participating in it.  Americans are not being enslaved against their will.  They are enslaving themselves – asking, even begging, for their corrupt fascist leaders to put them in chains.  They are advocating the most perverse form of slavery: auto-enslavement.

You and I, along with millions of other patriots, advocate the opposite.  Yet the enslavement to Leviathan continues and is accelerating.  Are there enough of us willing to do whatever it takes to put an end to it?

In The Brexit and Texit this week, we learned an important word: hysteresis.  Originally a concept in physics to quantify the effects of lag time, it’s now used in economics:  "If people are out of work for long enough, the damage to skills and human capital becomes a permanent loss. The underlying growth potential of the economy is damaged for years."

Under Zero, hysteresis has become a political strategy.  Damage America’s economy, national security, and moral culture long enough and consistently enough to become permanent.  Part of the strategy is convincing people that resistance to it is futile, even immoral.  Thus the number of his fellow travelers and useful idiots increases.

You could not get a clearer example than, on Tuesday (1/29), 94 out of 100 Senators voted to confirm a treasonous, characterless scumbag as Secretary of State.  There are now only 3 Senators with any self-respect or decency:  John Cornyn (TX), Ted Cruz (TX), and Jim Inhofe (OK) who voted No (Kerry along with 2 others abstained).

And it could get worse.  We might get an Anti-American, Anti-Semite, Anti-Military totally incompetent brainless twit as Secretary of Defense.  A man running the Pentagon supported by the government of Iran.

Chuck Hagel’s confirmation hearing yesterday (1/31) was a complete disaster – the "mother of all bombs."  He was an incoherent, confused, contradictory, uninformed idiot lying through his teeth – yes, he was that bad

Yet, according to the WaPo, it doesn’t matter how bad he was, he’ll be confirmed anyway.  There couldn’t be a better argument – other than the sheer existence of Harry Reid – for the repeal of the 17th Amendment.

Well, there is at least one bit of good news to come out of the Senate this week.  A dirtbag Dem (pardon the redundancy) looks like he’s going down.  That would be Senator Sleaze-Bob Menendez of New Jersey.  The FBI is after him, raiding the Miami offices this week (1/29-30) of his corrupt crony.  The FBI is also investigating him for having sex with Dominican child prostitutes.

One of them has now revealed that "the senator likes the youngest and newest girls."

You knew Menendez was done for yesterday (1/31) when the New York Times gave him the kiss of death.  What is especially heartwarming is that he could face 30 years in federal prison for his underage trysts.

There is a federal law providing this punishment for any US citizen who engages in commercial "illicit sex" with a minor (under 18) either here or abroad.  This is in many ways a fascist law in no way constitutional.  A guy who secures the oral favors of a 17 year-old bar girl in Phat Phong, Bangkok can be put in the slammer for decades?

The politicians who voted for laws like this should be in prison instead.  Sure enough, Menendez, when he was a Congressista in 2003, voted for this law.  Thus, we should all (yes, even radical libertarians) be in favor of Senator Sleaze-Bob being prosecuted and imprisoned for violating his own law.

For only when politicians are imprisoned for breaking the laws they passed do we stand a chance of getting rid of fascist unconstitutional laws.

Actually, there is more good news this week.  Might as well start with the funniest headline of the week (1/28):

Archbishop Says Legalizing Gay Marriage Is Like Legalizing Male Breastfeeding

Three cheers for Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone, who leads the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of San Francisco  It took courage for him to pronounce this in Ultimate La-La Land.

Next, 67% of Texas Republicans want Zero impeached.  That’s cool by itself – but note that the poll was conducted by a leftie outfit that oversampled women (more of them are against impeachment than men).  Even then, it reveals that 12% of Texas Dems and 15% of Texas Blacks support Zero’s impeachment.  America needs to be more like Texas.

Then again, maybe it’s starting to be.  Pew Research released a poll yesterday (1/31) disclosing that A Majority of Americans Says The Federal Government Threatens Their Personal Rights.  There’s been an appreciable shift towards this since 2010.  Let’s hope it keeps growing.

It sure will grow when it dawns on them how much Zerocare is going to cost.  The IRS revealed Wednesday (1/30) that the cheapest health insurance plan under Zerocare for a family will be $20,000 a year.  The cheapest.  This is pathological.  But then, our entire federal government in pathologically demented.

Conservatives have a healthy distrust of our libtard-biased court system – John Roberts’ Supreme Court becoming Zero’s poodle being the latest egregious example.  Yet lately, there have been a few decisions to modify that distrust.

Earlier this month (1/11), the Supreme Court of Alabama ruled that "unborn children are persons," and that the term "minor child" in Alabama’s wrongful-death-of-minor statute includes a viable fetus.  The Court cited a plethora of supportive case law in various states.  E.g. (citations omitted):

"Seven states specifically provide that the murder of a pregnant woman is an aggravating factor that may justify the imposition of the death penalty. In nine other states, the murder of a pregnant woman and her unborn child can lead to the application of the death penalty under statutes that allow for imposing the death penalty where a defendant murders more than one person in a single incident. And in Florida, a killing that would be capital murder if the pregnant woman died is capital murder if the mother survives but her unborn child dies."

The Court concluded:

"The decision of this Court today is in keeping with the widespread legal recognition that unborn children are persons with rights that should be protected by law. Today, the only major area in which unborn children are denied legal protection is abortion, and that denial is only because of the dictates of Roe."

In last week’s HFR, we saw that The DC Federal Appeals Court invalidated Zero’s faux-recess appointments to the NLRB, and thus hundreds of its rulings.

Now the same court has struck again, invalidating the EPA’s mandate that refiners use nonexistent cellulosic ethanol.  As the Wall Street Journal wryly commented,

"The cellulosic ethanol industry produced zero gallons in 2011 and zero in 2012. But the EPA still required oil companies and refiners to buy 6.6 million gallons in 2011 and 8.7 million in 2012-and then to purchase millions of dollars of ‘waiver credits’ for failing to comply with a mandate to buy a product that did not exist. This is the sort of thing that led to the Protestant Reformation."

However, immediately after the Court’s NLRB decision, the NLRB announced they would ignore it.  The invalidated appointees won’t leave, the rulings made under them won’t be rescinded, and they continue to issue new rulings as they did Wednesday (1/30) in favor of the CommieUnion SEIU.

But if the NLRB can flout the law, then companies can flout the NLRB.  Yesterday (1/31), Prime Healthcare Services in California announced it would not comply with an NLRB ruling regarding relations with a union (again, the SEIU).  "Employers should not be afraid to defy NLRB rulings," a company spokesman said.  The court decision means that "all cases decided by the recess appointments are void."

This is precisely the kind of civil disobedience to fascism that America needs.

The EPA also announced it would not obey the Court’s decision either.  Not only is the EPA refusing to abandon its mandate upon refiners to use cellulosic ethanol, yesterday (1/31), it increased its mandate

Hey, Kermit!  You’re TTP’s expert on the refining industry.  Is there one of them that has the moxie to tell the EPA to go to hell?  Is there anyone with the nerve to shut the valves?

The NLRB ruling invalidating Zero’s recess appointments has huge consequences for a gigantic power grab by the federalie fascists.  One vehicle they are using to do so is Dodd-Frank.  Absorb this from an analysis of the legislation:

"At least 10 federal agencies will be tasked with ensuring compliance with roughly 300 new rules created by Dodd-Frank, says the Congressional Research Service.  Several new agencies were created.  One of them, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), opened its doors recently.  The head of the CFPB will be appointed for a five-year term.  Once confirmed by the House and Senate, he or she will have free rein to spend $500 million without interference from Congress, since the CFPB is funded by the Federal Reserve, rather than congressional appropriations."

Note the word "appointed."  The House and Senate refused to confirm Zero’s nominee, Richard Cordray – so Zero recessed-appointed him, on the very same day (Jan. 04, 2012) he made the three NLRB ones the Court has now thrown out.  Thus today (02/01), Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell declared that Cordray’s appointment was just as void as the NLRB’s, and followed it up with him and 42 of his colleagues sending a formal letter to Zero.

The letter states that there will never be a confirmation of the CFPB head until Congress controls its budget.  Of course, there shouldn’t be any CFPB at all, and Dodd-Frank should be repealed in entirety (which Romney promised to do, by the way).  Nonetheless, this is a blow to Zero.

All of CFPB rulings can now be invalidated, and its entire budget suspended.  A $500 million slush fund for fascism is slipping through Zero’s fingers.

Not so bad a week, then, right?  Bit by bit, inch by inch, it’s slow progress invalidating the Rule of Zero.  Oh, yes… you did see the news (1/29) that Zero’s popularity is now lower than Richard Nixon’s?

We’re going to see more defiance and disobedience from now on.  So we’ll close this HFR by taking inspiration from a people who are the greatest examples of defiance on earth.

North of Sumatra in the Indian Ocean’s Bay of Bengal lies a chain of islands called the Nicobars & Andamans.  On one of them, a small island of less than 30 square miles called North Sentinel, live the most ancient and untouched human beings in the world.  They are so unknown that we don’t even know what language they speak or their name for themselves.  So they are called the Sentinelese.  There are less than 200 of them.

They are the only direct lineage left of that small band of a few dozen families who got Out of Africa (June 2007) some 50,000 years ago to populate the earth.  Yes – everyone on the planet, you, me, every Chinese, American Indian, Australian Aborigine, everyone except Black Africans – the descendants of those who stayed – are descended from those 150 or so who left Africa 500 centuries ago.

But with one exception, all of them have been moving, mixing, and separating for all those millennia.  That exception is the Sentinelese, who reached the Andamans – the ocean was much lower then, the islands very close to the Asian mainland – some 40,000 years ago.  They been in North Sentinel ever since.

They live a true Paleolithic culture – real Stone Age without metal (Mesolithic) or agriculture (Neolithic).  They have fire of course.  We’ve had fire for over 1.5 million years.

They also have weapons – spears, javelins, and bows & arrows, which are deadly accurate – and which they unhesitatingly use to keep themselves free.

Anyone who attempts to land on North Sentinel is attacked – attacked to kill.  This has been going on for centuries.  The Sentinelese determination to be left alone and free is unmatched by any other people on our planet.

Today (02/01), the London Telegraph headline was: Stone Age Tribe Kills Fishermen Who Strayed Onto Island.  There is a picture of two Sentinelese firing arrows at the Indian helicopter trying to recover the fishermen’s bodies.  The helicopter retreated, not the Sentinelese.

These are people who should be our inspiration.  They are literally – historically, genetically, and genealogically – the oldest people on earth, and no one more fiercely defends their freedom and right to be left alone.

The North Sentinelese are the HFR Heroes of the Week.

A final note.  Some of you may be asking – where’s Jack Kelly this week?  Normally we have at least two morsels of his wisdom a week, so where is he?  In the Caribbean, enjoying a cruise with his lovely wife, Pam.  Have fun, Jack and Pam!
