THE MOSLEM RED HERRING

Reuel Marc Gerecht is not a dumb guy.  He was with the Agency in the Middle East back in the 90s, has been a Fellow with a number of "neocon" DC think tanks, and writes a lot of well-informed stuff about US foreign policy.

This week, The Weekly Standard (8/20 issue) ran an article of his, in which you’ll learn a lot about the mullah crazies who run Iran, particularly "Supreme Leader" Ayatollah Ali Khamenei (not to be confused with Ayatollah Ruholla Khomeini, the leader of the 1979 revolution who died in 1989). 

Perhaps Bill Kristol and Fred Barnes are taking an August break in the Outer Banks and turned over editorial decisions to some copy editor or marketing intern – because Gerecht’s think tankish piece was pumped up into the most idiotically-entitled cover story of any conservative publication in recent years:  The Most Dangerous Man In The World.

Has TWS lost its mind?  Some medieval turban-head is the world’s greatest bad guy?  This is a tasteless bad joke, especially given the dangers we face right now that are orders of magnitude larger than this Moslem loudmouth in the Persian desert.

We’ll get to those dangers in a moment, but first let’s discuss how and why Islam is dying.  Literally.  As David Goldman (aka "Spengler") notes in his book, How Civilizations Die:  "The fastest demographic decline ever registered in recorded history is taking place today in Moslem countries."

He backs this up with a lot of data.  More specifically – and also literally – Iran is dying.  Of all Moslem countries facing demographic collapse, Iran’s is the greatest.  Here is Goldman’s Iran fertility chart 1950-2020, compiled from UN stats:

As he observes: Iranian women bore 7 children in 1970, and an average of 1.5 today, the same as Europe. And in realistic forecasts, Iran fertility will soon fall to just 1 child per female.  "Europe took a century to make the transition to the present demographic winter. Iran has done it in a single generation."

He concludes: "The average Iranian has six siblings, but will have 1.5 children. The Persian nation will not survive this demographic collapse. There are seven working-age Iranians to care for each set of parents; in the next generation there will be one and a half. That is an impossible tax even for industrial nations whose per capita GDP exceeds $30,000, and an unimaginable problem for a country with a per capita GDP of only $6,000. Iran is going to die."

Why the demographic collapse?  Because of a collapse of faith.  As the BBC reports, Iran has "the lowest mosque attendance of any Islamic country" on earth, at around 2%.

It’s the same historical phenomenon as when any technologically superior civilization collides with one that’s inferior:  the latter disintegrates.  The Indians of Mexico embraced Christianity after Cortez.  The Sioux Ghost Dancers of the 1890s were sure their religion would make them invulnerable to US Cavalry bullets.  How did that work out for them?

About as well as Khamenei’s blustering will protect Iranians from Israeli nuclear-tipped cruise missiles.  The Moonbat Mullah is gaining headlines bragging that "the Zionist regime will disappear from the map."  If his brains weren’t fried by his fanaticism, he would recall the famous story of Cyrus the Great (600-530 BC), founder of the Persian Empire, and Croesus (595- af.547 BC), king of Lydia.

Filled with hubris as the world’s richest man ("rich as Croesus" is an expression still used to this day), he raised an army to attack his threatening neighbor, Cyrus.  The border between their kingdoms was the Halys River (today the Kizilirmak or Red River in central Turkey).  He asked the Oracle of Delphi for a prediction.  The Pythia (Delphi’s priestess who inhaled ethylene gases from the rocks at the temple) advised:

"If Croesus crosses the Halys, he will destroy a mighty kingdom."

With that, in 547 BC, Croesus crossed the Halys with his huge army, invaded Persia, whereupon Cyrus wiped his army out and captured him.  The Oracle was right – Croesus did destroy a mighty kingdom:  his own.  Oops.

The pathological hubris is on the other side now.  If Mullah Iran does not give up its nuclear ambitions and Israel attacks in necessary self-defense, a mighty kingdom will indeed be destroyed:  Iran’s.  Within days if not hours after Israel starts bombing Iranian nuke sites, Iran will implode and disintegrate.

Look at the map in There Is No Such Country As Iran (TTP, June 2006).  Iran is a colonial empire within its own borders.  Once the ability of Tehran to keep its fascist control is broached, millions of Azeris, Kurds, Ahwazi Arabs, Turkmen, and Baluchis will bolt for the exits.  Iran will break apart like the Soviet Union. 

Iran is Humpty-Dumpty – and once busted, it won’t be put back together again.

So – could we please get over the phony threat of Iran, and the ridiculous drivel about this brain-dead Tehran Turban Head being dangerous?  Let the Israelis get rid of this pestilence and be done with it.

The reason that The Weekly Standard’s imbecility is so upsetting is obvious:  The Most Dangerous Man In the World is the current President of the United States.

We don’t need to belabor it anymore than we need to regarding the sun rising in the east.  It is obvious to anybody not mentally deficient like SloJoe Biden or moocher-parasites demanding the Moral Right to Sponge off taxpaying wealth-and-job producers.  At the point of a government gun.  That’s what makes moochers fascists.

Yes, there are millions of them.  Tens, scores of millions.  That’s why it’s mortally critical for conservatives to not let their energy be diverted regarding Moslem bogeymen.  The real enemy of America is inside our gates, not outside.  They are domestic, not foreign. 

Focus on them.  The delusion, for example, that Zero is a foreigner, that he is a Moslem, is a red herring – just as the Moslem Threat in general is a red herring. 

Zero is no more Moslem than any other Marxist-Fascist Anti-American Leftie who compulsively roots for anyone against America.  It doesn’t matter who – Castro, Chavez, Chicoms, Putin’s Russkies, Palestinians, Moonbat Mullahs – if they’re against America, the American Left will be on their side.  That’s the side Zero is on.

Focus on his defeat in November, and not red herrings, as if your country’s life depended on it – because it does.  Zero – not some Turban Head – is the most dangerous man in the world.  And in America.
