HALF-FULL REPORT 06/15/12

It was yet another lousy week for Zero, but to tell the truth, it’s getting reeeeaaallly boring talking about this guy.  I am so excruciatingly bored with him and his grimacing wife and his moonbat supporters and his groveling media sycophants and his union thugs and his crony business-shysters and his airhead celebrities.

So let’s get outta here and go somewhere else.  How about France?  That should be fun – for it’s simply awesome to witness the French immolate themselves.

When I was growing up, there were two Frances.  One was that embodied by Maurice Chevalier (1888-1972) – completely captivating, oozing French charm and savoir-faire, impossible not to like. Here’s a link to him singing Thank Heaven For Little Girls in Gigi (1958).

The other France was embodied by Charles de Gaulle (1890-1970) – completely pompous, oozing arrogance and pretentiousness, utterly ungrateful to America for saving his country in World Wars I and II, yearning for the days of French gloire (glory) centuries ago and pretending they still existed.

De Gaulle’s France is the only one left now, still pompous, still the arrogant beggar, with a hopelessly incompetent champagne socialist running the place.

The focus this Sunday (6/17) will be on the elections in Greece, as if they somehow matter.  Greece is ewed-scray whoever wins.  Focus instead should be on Sunday’s parliamentary elections in France.  President Francois Hollande’s Socialist Party will gain an absolute majority of seats in the National Assembly. It already has control of the Senate. With this, Hollande is all set to turn France into Greece on steroids.

The Hollande Insanity has already started, when on June 6, he announced his government will lower the retirement age from 62 to 60.  The very next day (6/07), he announced that his government will make it harder and more expensive to fire workers.

Did you know that suicide is a French word?  This is what the French people are committing.  Our own self-inflicted Zero Insanity is coming to an end.  The French are just getting started.  Greece is belly up.  Spain gets a $125 billion bailout, and Spanish 10 years promptly rocket up to almost 7%, as the bond market knows it’s pouring water into a bottomless debt pit.  Italy is next in line down the rabbit hole.

All of this is a preface to the coming ruination of France.  And just like the Greeks, the Spanish, and the Italians, they will accept no responsibility for their debt disaster, but will assume the pose of outraged victim and vehemently blame – who else? – the Germans.

The Germans are about to find out what it’s really like to be Jews, murderously hated for their smarts and success.  Will they bankrupt themselves to appease the euro-beggar mob?  We’ll stay tuned.

************

How’s this for cosmic irony, though?  While the Greeks, et al, scream Nazis! at the Germans for not bailing them out, they are pulling their life savings out of their local banks and depositing them where they’ll be safest.  One guess where….

From Europe we go to Asia, and a rare event:  praise for the Chicoms.  You may have heard of the EU fascisti-crats demand that all airlines flying to/from Europe pay a carbon tax.  The Chinese government ordered all China airlines not to comply.  This week (6/12), the Chicoms declared they will seize and impound the aircraft of European airlines flying to China unless the EU backs down and abandons its carbon tax scheme.

Now, that’s cool.  Good for them.  The Chicom’s unwillingness to be pushed around immediately gave others the same.  The next day (6/13), Airbus announced its support for China’s position.  Since the EU issued its carbon tax demand last January, some 1,200 airlines around the world meekly complied – including US carriers.  Only the Chinese and a couple of Indian ones refused.

Last year, as the tax was about to be implemented, John Mica (R-FL), Chairman of the House Transportation Committee, sponsored the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme Prohibition Act banning all "operators of civil aircraft of the United States from participating" in the carbon tax scheme.  It passed the House in October, but has been blocked in the Senate by John F’n Kerry.

You can be sure that a Romney Administration will get Mica’s bill into law fast.

************

Of course, we’re not about to end commenting on the Chicoms with a high note.  The best article I have seen on China in a long time is Aussie John Hempton’s (6/10), The Chinese Kleptocracy Is Like Nothing Else in Human History.

His main point is that what keeps the thieves and mafiosi who run China going is the "four grandparent policy" – what the "one child policy" ends up being.  Having just one child means that kid has four grandparents whom he or she is not going to care for in their old age.

So grandma and grandpa have to save up their whole lives, and the only place to put their life savings is with the banks, which the Chicoms order to loan all those savings to state-owned-enterprises run by the kleptos and mafiosi, who blow the money living large and will never pay the loans back.

The story gets better from there.  It’s not a long read, concise and clear.  It’s your week’s mind-blow.  One of his conclusions:

Since the kleptos have unlimited bank deposits at negative real costs, "a lot of investments that look stupid under some circumstances suddenly look sensible. US Treasuries look just fine. Don’t think the Chinese are going to stop holding Treasuries. The Treasuries yield far more than they pay the peasants. The Chinese make a positive arbitrage on holding low rate US bonds."

OK, OK, time to drag the HFR back to Zeroland.  Further evidence came this week that the President of the United States is a crook.  From the Washington Times this Sunday (6/10):

"A billionaire Chicago family that has donated and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for President Obama got a deal from the federal government to avoid paying all of a $460 million settlement it agreed to in the 2001 failure of a Chicago-area bank it owned, while 1,400 former depositors are still owed more than $10 million in lost savings."

The Pritzker family is led by Penny Pritzker who was Zero’s 2008 campaign finance chair. During the campaign (Sept. 2008), Zero was denounced for being "in the tank for Pritzker."

You read all about Zero’s graft and corruption regarding the Pritzkers in the New York Times, or heard the outrage from the talking heads on CNN, right?  Right.  What you heard was crickets.

What you do hear and see is media honchos getting more and more freak-out desperate as they watch Zero’s chances of winning go down the drain.  The funniest derangement of the week was NBC’s Chuck Todd, who on Tuesday (6/12) claimed that if Romney is elected, he’ll be "the least transparent president in a generation."  You can’t make this up.

The BM (Big Media) will get increasingly unhinged not just because their guy is losing.  It’s that a Romney victory means the entire BM edifice from the New York Times on down implodes.  Romney has already made it clear that he’s their enemy.  The BM will have no influence over him, and the public will stop paying them attention.

The BM is not called Legacy Media for nothing. They are OBE, overtaken by events, i.e., alternate media from Rush to blogs to Twitter – and TTP!.  Their power will be gone.  Goodnight.

************

Yet Zero’s heralded "major policy speech" in Ohio yesterday (6/14) was such a dud that even the BM couldn’t stomach it.  It was a 54-minute rehash of tired bromides that put the press corps to sleep.  Even hyper-lib Jonathan Alter labeled it "a dramatic failure… one of the least successful speeches Obama has ever given."

And the WaPo’s leading lib columnist Dana Milbank was so disgusted  he called Zero’s speech "a falsehood wrapped in a fallacy."

But that’s not the best part.  Bryan Preston over at PJTattler shows one reason why Zero’s speech yesterday was such a fail is that he and Axelrod are so rattled by Romney that they can’t think straight.  As Preston comments: "the Romney campaign is living rent-free in David Axelrod’s head."

That’s got to be the best line of the week.

************

So Zero continued to tank all week long.

Thomas Sowell finally dropped the F-word on him, that Zero is a fascist, not a socialist as TTP has maintained for years.

Gallup reported that Zero is not just fast losing support from whites in general, but every sub-set of whites from whom he had support in 2008 – young whites 18-29, non-religious whites, well-educated women whites, etc.

And hold on to your sweet bippy for this: Zero is now losing support among Jews and, yes, Blacks.

But there’s more!  Try out this headline:  Union Members Are Deserting Obama.

Ready for the cherry on this sundae?  It’s not just union members, it’s the whole bloody AFL-CIO:  AFL-CIO Pulling Funds From Obama Campaign.

************

This may be more good news than you can stand, so it’s probably piling on to mention that Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) told Zero’s Attorney General Eric Holder to his face at a Senate hearing on Tuesday (6/12) that he should resign.  Cornyn then wrote an op-ed published in papers around the country explaining why Holder should resign.

Next week, the House Oversight Committee will vote on whether to indict Holder for contempt of Congress.

************

Week after week. It’s been good news for the good guys and bad news for the schmucks.  This can change.  In a heartbeat.  Whatever you’re doing to help ensure Nobama in November, keep doing it more of it.  The finish line for the fate of our country is still over 20 weeks away – and a single week can be a century long in political time.  It’s no time for hubris, complacency, or getting slack.

Oh, yes, one last note:  Happy Father’s Day this Sunday to all you Dads.  The most wonderful thing in the world for a man is to be a father.  My greatest blessing is my two sons, Brandon and Jackson – and my life partner Rebel, who blessed me with them.
