HALF-FULL REPORT 02/03/12

Before we discuss who should be the HFR Hero of the Week, today we’re initiating its antipode:  designating the HFR Scum of the Week.

The hands-down winner this week is an evil, racist, corrupt, lying, treasonous accomplice to murder who belongs in jail.  Instead he’s the most powerful law enforcement official in the country as head of the Zero Justice Department:  Eric "I’m the Attorney General of the United States, OK?" Holder.

He testified at a Congressional hearing yesterday (2/02), once again refusing to accept any responsibility or knowledge of his department’s Fast & Furious gun-running scandal that, had it been conducted by a Republican Attorney General would have gotten him impeached and imprisoned long before now.

As the IBD points out, it was appropriate for Holder to testify on Groundhog Day (as in the Bill Murray movie), as he keeps repeating the same lies over and over – then pours contempt and insults upon his questioners.

One of those questioners was freshman Congressman Raul Labrador (R-ID), who was born in Puerto Rico, raised there by his single mother, and became a self-made successful small businessman in Idaho.  He looked Holder in the eye at the hearing and said, "Because you have been grossly incompetent in the way that you have prepared before coming to Congress, I think you should resign."

Holder’s insulting response (which would have prompted a media frenzy calling him racist if he were a Pub and Labrador a Dem):  "Maybe this is the way you do things in Idaho or wherever you’re from."

Holder’s testimony was so disgustingly outrageous it prompted the mother of murdered border patrol agent Brian Terry – murdered with a Fast & Furious gun – to publicly label Holder a joke and a coward.  He is certainly that and so much worse.

************

That said, a lot of folks are running out of patience with the heel-dragging delays of Darrell Issa (R-CA) and his Oversight Committee.  There is more than enough evidence to impeach Holder.  Let’s get on with it, they say.  They ask, why don’t these investigative Congressistas do the first thing a pro investigator would: follow the money

Why hasn’t Holder been asked the basic question:  "Who approved the expense of $1.5 million dollars to purchase the guns?" Who paid the gun dealers or gave the cash to the straw buyers?  Follow the money.

Time to stop the sound and fury.  Time for impeachment and indictment.  But the Boehner Pubs just want to make noise, while the enemedia defends Holder and condemns the noise.

On to the HFR Disappointment of the Week.

On Wednesday (2/01), the Konen for the Cure breast cancer charity announced it was halting all donations to Planned Parenthood, the nation’s number one abortion mill.  Pro-life groups celebrated, donations to Konen shot up 100% overnight, and the adherents of the religion of baby-murder (also known as Democrats) went apoplectic.

It took less than 48 hours for the Konen folks to cave under the barrage of pro-abortion attacks. This morning (2/03) they announced they were rescinding their decision to defund the abortion mill. So much for courage.

************

As Konen was caving, Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) gave a stirring example of courage in his speech Wednesday night (2/01) at the SBA List Gala for Life in Washington.  Excerpts:

"The issue of life is not a political issue, nor is it a policy issue, it is a definitional issue. It is a basic core issue that every society needs to answer.  The answer that you give to that issue ends up defining which kind of society you have."

"Virtually every faith condemns the practice of abortion, recognizes that life is a gift from the Creator and compels followers to believe that as well, as a basic tenet of their faith."

Every faith, that is, except for the Dems’ Religion of Baby Murder.  What of their argument that a woman has the right to do what she wants to her own body?  Rubio:

"There is another right, and that is the right to live. And so when you analyze this issue on a pro-life vs. pro-choice basis, what we basically have are two rights that are in conflict with each other.  And we as a society must decide what to do when two rights are in conflict with one another."

What of the claim that the right to "choose" trumps the unborn’s right to live because it is not viable on its own?  Rubio:

"That also cannot be a good argument, because a newborn isn’t viable without the mother either. A 1-year-old child, a 2-year-old child – leave a 2-year-old child by himself, leave a 6-month-old child by himself, they are not viable either."

Rubio has no doubt that our era will in the future be as morally condemned for its defense of abortion as the past eras that defended slavery.  The SBA List website has the full video.  Watch it while considering this man may be the Vice-President of the United States a year from now, and President eight years from that.

A note on a trio of Congressmen this week.

*Phil Gingrey of Georgia walked out of Zero’s address at the National Prayer Breakfast yesterday morning (2/02).  He was disgusted by Zero’s using the solemn event to give a tawdry campaign speech.

*Dana Rohrabacher of California today (2/03) introduced a bill in Congress  (it’s too new to have a Bill # yet) to grant US citizenship to a Pakistani named Dr. Shakeel Afridi.  He had a medical clinic in Abbottabad, Pakistan, that conducted a vaccination program.

In cooperation with the CIA, every vaccination shot he gave drew enough of a blood sample that could undergo DNA analysis.  Dr. Afridi was able to vaccinate the residents of a particular compound in the city under CIA surveillance.  The DNA of one resident’s blood sample confirmed he was Osama Bin Laden – enabling the mission that killed him last May 2nd.

Shortly thereafter, Dr. Afridi and his wife (a naturalized US citizen) were arrested and have been rotting incommunicado in a Pak prison ever since.  They are due to be charged with "high treason," although no charges have yet to be filed – probably because it’s hard to claim providing information on a non-Pakistani mass murderer is somehow treasonous to the Pakistan State.

Rohrabacher’s bill may force the Paks to release a heroic man, as well as spotlight the obvious protection the Pak government was providing Bin Laden.

*Steve King of Iowa told me over a pint of Guinness last night that on the very first day of the 113th Congress next January, he will introduce legislation to repeal every single law and regulation passed by Zero.

"It won’t be complicated," Steve says.  "The whole bill will be less than 40 words.  I don’t want to just get rid of Obamacare.  I want to get rid of everything he has done, all the damage he has caused.  His entire legacy needs to be wiped out, the slate cleaned.  We need a fresh start."

Steve King is our kind of guy in Congress.

OK, here we go.  Who shall be the HFR Hero of the Week?  There are a trio of choices.

*Bishop Richard Lennon of the Cleveland Catholic Diocese.

Last Friday (1/27), the Zero Administration announced that the hospitals of the Catholic Church and other religious institutions would have to provide free birth control – including sterilization and post-conception abortifacients – whether it violated their religious principles or not.

On Sunday (1/29), Bishop Lennon issued a letter to his parishioners which is being read now in Catholic churches all over the country.  The key quote:

"The Obama administration is denying to Catholics our nation’s first and most fundamental freedom, that of religious liberty.  We cannot — we will not — comply with this unjust law."

YES!  Finally, religious leaders are calling for full-on civil disobedience against Zero’s fascism.  We will not comply with this unjust law.  This conviction provided the foundation for the entire civil rights movement that ended the South’s unconscionable Jim Crow laws.  This is the conviction we must have to end the unconscionable laws of Zero.

The rebellion against fascism and the rebirth of freedom in America begins with this conviction:  the refusal to obey.  May Bishop Lennon and other Catholic leaders inspire this refusal in millions.

*Sheriff Gil Gilbertson of Josephine County, Oregon.

Sick and tired of clashing with the gun-toting federal agents of the US Forest Service, he starting researching the basis of their authority.  He was stunned to learn that they had none at all – without his approval.

He discovered that the highest judicial officer in your county, superior in power and authority to any agent in the federal bureaucracy, is your local Sheriff. IRS agents, for example, can do nothing to seize property or conduct an arrest without the approval and assistance of local state law enforcement officers.

Sheriff Gilbertson has written this out in a paper entitled Unraveling Federal Jurisdiction in a State.  Well-researched and solidly footnoted, it is a "must-read" for all sheriffs in the country.

Now he has helped to found The Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officer Association or CSPOA.  Here is Sheriff Gilbertson’s bio.  This is a heroic American.  We need a lot more sheriffs like him.

*Congressman Allen West of Florida.

Last Saturday (1/28), Allen spoke at the Lincoln Day Dinner held by the Palm Beach County GOP, where he had everyone on their feet cheering and clapping when he said he had a message for "President Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and my dear friend, the chairman of the Democrat National Committee" (Debbie Wasserman Schultz who hates West’s guts):

"Take your message of equality of achievement, take your message of economic dependency, take your message of enslaving the entrepreneurial will and spirit of the American people somewhere else.  You can take it to Europe, you can take it to the bottom of the sea, you can take it to the North Pole, but get the hell out of the United States of America."

Enjoy the video:

Allen West is absolutely the coolest guy in Congress.  Lots of TTPers don’t want him in Congress, though.  They want him to be the next Secretary of Defense.  No way I can disagree.

So, folks, who’s it gonna be?  Which of these three marvelous people is the HFR Hero of the Week?  Should we just declare it a triple tie?

************

I have some wonderful news.  I saw an old friend this week and he looked great.  When I told him so, he said that was in part thanks to the prayers of so many TTPers.  I am talking about Paul Joyal.

I wrote about what happened to him back in March 2007 – What’s Dhimmitude in Russian? – when Russia’s Putin sent two of his hit men to horribly attack him in the driveway of his Maryland home.  He was fighting for his life in a hospital and I asked for TTPers to pray for him.  He knew about those prayers and he fought on.  It has taken him years to recover.  You don’t want to know what he went through to do so.

The smile on his face was so good to see.  And he assured me that the Russian bullet intended for his cojones missed, just barely.  "I’m intact, man! Ready for action!"  Then he hugged me with a tear in his eye.  "Jack, please thank all those who prayed for me.  It meant so much to me and my family."

Before we go, I think you’ll enjoy Don’t Rush To Judge Grassroots America.  It’s written for a British audience by the US-based correspondant of the London Telegraph.  How can a Brit write something so movingly pro-American?  He sure could teach a lot to American journalists.

************

Y’all have a fabulous Super Bowl weekend.  How can you choose sides between Tom Brady and Eli Manning?  Maybe you can, but I can’t.  I’m just ready for some fabulous football.  Hope you are too.
