AMERICA’S GREATEST ENEMY

We start the identification process with those enemies of America who are not the most dangerous and powerful threats to her.

Ralph Peters vividly explains this week how this includes the Arabs.  Adding to Ralph’s incisiveness, we should also focus on what is being called “The closing of the Moslem Womb.”  According to UN population researchers, the Moslem world is currently undergoing “the fastest population decline in recorded history.”

Demographic collapse among Arabs, Persians, Turks, and even Malays is now surpassing that of Western Europeans.  “The world’s most rapid fertility decline” of all is in Iran.  Islam is collapsing before our very eyes, within a generation.

The only hope the Moslem world has of surviving its clash with modernity is to undergo an Islamic Enlightenment, as discussed in Opening the Doors of Islam (December 2006).  Which brings me to Libya.

Last week, TTPer Anson Heath asked me on the Forum:

“Dr. Jack:  Did you not cheer the Arab Spring a year ago? At least in Libya?  The situation now seems to prove Glenn Beck more correct than your prediction then.  Please give us the summary of what happened. I really would like to know. Did I misunderstand your premise?  Thanks…”

The article Anson refers to is Islam in Libya (March 2011).  It is a “nutshell history” of Libya, and how Libyans (prompted by Thomas Jefferson, it turns out) adopted a variant of Sufi mysticism known as Senussi Islam – which advocates ijtihad (independent reasoning – see the “Opening” link – hated by Sharia Moslems).

Gaddafi did his best to extirpate Senussism and replace it with robotic Sharia Islam.  But he did not succeed.  Thus I was, and remain today, thrilled that Gaddafi got what he deserved, that Libya has the opportunity to reject radical Islam, and return to its tradition of a tolerant Islam.

Unfortunately, Glenn Beck, whom I admire, is caught up in the Moslem bogeyman shtick that Ralph Peters derides.  Further, all we hear from US media about Libya now is how anarchic it is with militias running amok and Al Qaeda trying to take over. Bogeyman City.

Try this on.  Lebanon’s Daily Star is reporting this week (2/07) that Libya’s oil production is coming back on line so fast it is already over 60% of pre-war levels (after dropping to 2% during the war) and will be beyond them (1.6 million bpd – barrels per day) by June.  Last month (January), Libya exported 32.2 million bpd of crude oil.

Today (2/09), the Thai News Agency is reporting that “Thailand is poised to send at least 10,000 workers back to Libya, after the Thai embassy in Tripoli reported that the political situation in the North African country has returned to normal.”

The militias make “normal” problematic, yet improvement is coming fast – so fast that I may be able to bring a group of friends to explore investment opportunities in Libya this April.

Egypt, on the other hand, is busy converting the Arab Spring into the Arab Nightmare.  As noted in the HFR two weeks ago (1/27, scroll to bottom), it is the most screwed country in the world right now.  The Islamists of the Iqwan (Moslem Brotherhood) are driving their country into the abyss of non-existence.  Egypt’s asinine soccer riots with scores killed is only the beginning of total societal breakdown.

OK, so much for Moose-Limbs.  What about China?  Surely the Chicoms are a real threat to America, far more than a bunch of robots chanting the Koran, yes?

No doubt about it.  Red China has to be taken very seriously.  Big time.  It is the only country on the planet that has a ghost of a chance of taking on America – and the leaders of its government and military really do hate us.

However.  As a mind-blowing antidote to Chicom Triumphalism and American Declinism, I suggest you delve into a Harvard University study published last month (January) entitled China’s Century?  Why America’s Edge Will Endure.

The more you study it, the more you will be blown away.  It turns out that China is rapidly growing – but it isn’t catching up with America, it’s falling behind:

“In sum, the United States is now wealthier compared to China than it was in 1991.”  This applies to military spending, R&D spending, and per capita income. The U.S. has actually widened the gap in all three areas over the past 20 years.

Further:  “China’s per capita income has declined relative to that of the United States. China’s defense industry has also fallen further behind… The PLA may look increasingly respectable on paper, but its performance in battle against the United States would not necessarily be much better than that of, say, Iraq circa 1991.”

Or:  “China will soon confront the most severe aging process in human history.  Within twenty years, China will have 300 million pensioners, causing the ratio of workers per retiree to plummet from 8 to 1 today to 2 to 1 by 2040.  The fiscal cost of this swing in dependency ratios may exceed 80 to 100 percent of China’s GDP.

“The United States, by contrast, can be said to be a young and even a developing country.  Its working age population will grow by 17 percent over the next forty years while that of all the other major powers (except India) will decline.”

Conclusion:  “It is impossible to say whether (America’s) current malaise is the beginning of the end of the unipolar era or simply an aberration. The best that can be done is to make plans for the future on the basis of long-term trends; and the trends suggest that the United States’ economic, technological, and military lead over China will be an enduring feature of international relations, not a passing moment in time, but a deeply embedded condition that will persist well into this century.”

Do your understanding of the world a favor and read it entire.

So, if neither Moslems nor Chicoms aren’t America’s greatest enemy, who or what is?

The answer is summed up in a Tea Party t-shirt that says: I love America – it’s the government I’m afraid of.

That’s the ghastly, tragic truth:  Our own federal government is the greatest enemy of the American people.  It is the greatest danger to our freedom and prosperity – by far.  Washington bureaucrats, politicians, judges, and government agents with guns are astronomically more dangerous to us than all the Moslems and Chicoms put together.

And they are getting more dangerous by the day.

It’s not just the Democrats.  Republicans are go-along-to-get-along co-conspirators.  But they are not the instigators, the primary perpetrators of the suffocating fascism taking over and controlling our lives today.  Which is why the single most important event of lives, of America’s life, is the chance to overthrow Democrat Fascism at the ballot box this coming November 6th.

This is not the time for doom-and gloom.  This is the time to kick ass.  This is the time to go berserk for freedom.  This is the time to say GFY to any bureaucrat giving you orders, to any Dem moonbat spouting moronic praise of Zero.  This is the time to stop obeying fascist unconstitutional laws.

Most of all, it is time to prepare, calmly and thoughtfully, for a Plan B in case Zero cons or cheats his way to reelection.  Let me say this very plainly.  Zero in 2012 is as great a threat to American freedom as Hitler in 1932 was to German freedom.

If you had a time machine and went back to 1930s Germany, what would you advise Jews to do? Today in Zero’s America, we – conservatives, patriots, producers – are all Jews at which Hitlerian crazed lethal envy is being directed.  Are you prepared to do today what you would have advised Jews in 1930s Germany?

The bottom line is that we all have to work our brains out for Zero’s defeat – and it really doesn’t matter who defeats him:  ABO.  With him gone, there is at least a chance to rescue and rebuild our country.  With him still there infesting the White House, there is no chance – which leaves us with only two choices:  bar the door, lock and load, wait for the Gestapo to come, and get taken out by a SWAT Team – or emigrate as a refugee to… where?

We’re all in this together.  We all, no matter who our particular favorite Pub challenger is, have to join together to defeat our common enemy, America’s greatest enemy, personified by the current POTUS.

We all have to follow Ben Franklin’s advice to hang together – for if we don’t, we most assuredly will hang separately.  Only if we do will we have the chance to see Ronald Reagan’s Morning in America again.
