HALF-FULL REPORT 09/30/11

The evidence that the presidential ship, the USS Zero, is sinking like that boat Leo DiCaprio was on continued to pile up this week.

When Euroweenies publicly call the President of the United States pitiful, sad, arrogant, and absurd, plus stupid; when he can’t even beat Ron Paul in a national poll; when predictions mount that he will pull a 1968 LBJ and not run; when libtards like Newsweek Editor Tina Brown abandon him, it’s pretty clear his presidency will end up sleeping with the fishes.

He totally clinched it yesterday (9/29) with a pathetic replay of Jimmy Carter’s 1979 Malaise Speech, blaming the disaster of his presidency on Americans being "soft." Like Carter, Zero does not possess the moral intelligence to grasp the irony of his claim.

Americans were sunk into a deep malaise after the debacle of Watergate and defeat in Vietnam – and Carter was elected as an expression of it.  If it weren’t for the "crisis of confidence" he complained about, Americans would never have placed a nebbishy schlemiel like him in the White House.

And if Americans hadn’t gone soft accepting liberal welfare and liberal guilt for decades, they never ever would have elected an affirmative action president, a Marxist Alinskyite attending a Hate America church whose only qualification for office was the color of his skin.

It was an act of mass insanity, or "softness," for Americans to place the national security and economy of their country in the hands of a man no one would have paid the slightest attention to if he were white.  It was the most racist election in American history.  And yet, a wise TTPer friend of mine wrote this to me today:

"The GOP has no greater friend than Zero. We should give him a lifetime achievement award. He has singlehandedly exposed Keynesism as utterly bankrupt. He has destroyed the myth of single payer healthcare. Literally, everything he has espoused has come up snake eyes. There would be no Tea Party but for BHO. You couldn’t construct a more positive scenario. McCain would have been a debacle for the GOP, whereas the Blessed One has served up creme brûlée flambé.

"We’re on the verge of a historic sea change and we have no one but Obama to thank. Give credit where due!"

After Zero confused Jews with janitors, and hailed America as "the country that built the intercontinental railroad," Rush Limbaugh asked the Question of the Week:

"Mr. President, was it fair that Jewish janitors had to build the intercontinental railroad from the 57 states all the way to the country that speaks Austrian? Was it fair that the Jewish janitors had to build it? Is that not a sign of the systemic racism and bigotry that’s always existed in this country, that Jewish janitors had to build the intercontinental railroad?"

Holy scum-sucking liberals, Batman!  All of Libtardville is spasming out over the world’s most renowned comic book writer/artist – Frank Miller (Batman, Spiderman, Ronin, Sin City, 300 – all made into major movies) – publishing this week his latest book, Holy Terror.

The super-hero is The Fixer, whose purpose is to rid Gotham City of the evil fiends who want to destroy it:  Moslem terrorists.  This outrages libs like those at Tired Magazine (it pretends it’s still Wired):

"One of the true comic-book greats, (Miller)’s created several of the most extraordinary stories ever to grace the art form… now he’s produced one of the most appalling, offensive and vindictive comics of all time…Miller’s Holy Terror is a screed against Islam."

Or as Miller himself explains:

"For the first time in my life, I know how it feels to face an existential menace. They want us to die. All of a sudden I realize what my parents were talking about all those years. Patriotism, I now believe, isn’t some sentimental, old conceit. It’s self-preservation. I believe patriotism is central to a nation’s survival. Ben Franklin said it: If we don’t all hang together, we all hang separately."

It’s about time a comic book hero fought Al Qaeda.  Here’s to you, Frank!  And thanks for terrorizing liberal brains.

You may have seen the news story about the sign on display at a home in New Orleans depicting Zero in diapers and crying "Change me – I stink!"  Thanks to sleuthing by TTP’s redoubtable Citizen K, we learn that the homeowner and sign creator is Tim Reily, owner of Reily Electrical Supply in nearby Metarie.  He’s on the board of the Louisiana SPCA and a major donor to it.  And he’s a big supporter of the Tea Parties.  Here’s a local tv station interview of him.  Here’s to you, Tim!

Most of us have mixed feelings about President George W. Bush.  Yet however you feel about him, in his heart he’s an American and Zero is not.  At a dinner in Hershey PA on Monday (9/26), he told his audience, "America is the greatest force for good and compassion ever in the history of mankind."

You know he truly and deeply believes this.  And you know that Zero would never say such a thing, or if he felt he was forced to, he would be lying – that in his heart he believes no such thing.

Bush also set a good example for Rick Perry.  After his talk, he answered questions, and the reporter there noticed that if he was "asked a question he didn’t like, Bush asked himself a question that he wanted to answer, and then answered it."

This is exactly what Perry should do if he wants to shine instead of getting snookered in the next debate on October 11.

Jack Kelly, however, tells me he has severe doubts that Perry can pull it off and pull his candidacy out of the fire.  "No candidate in modern times has entered a race with so many advantages, and no candidate has squandered those advantages so quickly," he observes.

He thinks Perry is flaming out as has Michelle Bachman – although he still has a lot of money behind him, while MB’s campaign is broke.  So he has his eyes on Cain.  Among the plethora of reasons to like Herman Cain, he offers this:

"Cain may be our best insurance if Zero drops out.  Blacks will be really ticked if they think white Dems pushed him out.  A lot of blacks — maybe even a third — would vote for Cain over Hillary."

So should we start raising Cain?

Last week’s HFR came down hard on the House Pub leadership, anointing them as the "Yellowbellies of the Week" for making no attempt whatever to defund any Dem program: "not Obamacare, not Planned Parenthood, not the EPA, not the gazillion new fascist regulations issued in a constant stream by Zero’s bureaucrats, not anything."

In response, I received a very courteous letter from a TTPer who is a former US Congressman with a 100% ACA and 96% ACU rating.  He pointed out that the GOP controls neither the Senate, the White House, nor the "airpower" of the media "hell-bent on machine-gunning our conservative Republican image through the November 2012 election."

"Our goal," he explained, "is not to defund Planned Parenthood now or cut spending so ruthlessly now that the media can paint our Congressmen and Presidential candidate as cruel-hearted scrooges…. our goal is to win the Senate, House and Presidency in 14 months and then gut Planned Parenthood and all the other lib funding sources."

This is a reasonable position being made by many reasonable people.  I disagree with it, but we can respectfully agree to disagree.

I disagree because if the Pubs do not draw lines in the sand now, what confidence do we have that they will do so when they have all the marbles in 2013?  They had all those marbles from January 2001 to January 2007, six entire years, and they cut nothing, spending our money like drunken sailors.

The only way they can show they are somehow different today is to start acting, behaving differently today, not mouth promises of what they’ll do if we give them what they had one more time.  Nobody is going to believe those promises unless they start acting on them now.

So the Congressman I side with on this is Iowa’s Steve King. Here is his position:

"Democrats have more conviction on funding Planned Parenthood than the body of Republicans have on shutting it off–if it comes down to a government shut down.  From my standpoint, I say: Let’s have that fight. And if it becomes the confrontation that results in Harry Reid or the President shutting the government down over taxpayer funding to organizations like Planned Parenthood, let’s have that fight. Let’s see what the public says. I think they are going to side with those of us who decide on the side of innocent unborn babies.

"I believe that the Founding Fathers wanted us to draw the line. And, then, in a way, it becomes a stare down. If you say: I am not spending any more money. I am not spending it to Planned Parenthood. I am not sending it to Obamacare. And there won’t be any money spent if it is going to go there. Then the people on the other side have to decide: Who is going to crack first? It is a stare down. And in the end that gets decided in the court of public opinion."

My opinion is that we need a lot more Congressmen with the courage of Steve King.  There are good people who honestly disagree, and we must recognize and respect this.  I very much thank and appreciate our TTPer and former Member for his thoughts.

That said, Steve King of Iowa is the HFR Hero of the Week.

The bottom line here is that America is very rapidly running out of time.  Unless Republicans in Congress start defunding Zero’s metastasizing fascism now, 2013 may be way too late.  To see just how fascism is permeating our entire society, check out this week’s Wall Street Journal’s exposé (9/27), As Federal Crime List Grows, Threshold of Guilt Declines.

"Back in 1790," it discloses, "the first federal criminal law passed by Congress listed fewer than 20 federal crimes. Today there are an estimated 4,500 crimes in federal statutes, plus thousands more embedded in federal regulations, many of which have been added to the penal code since the 1970s."

And you can be put in jail for years and bankrupted with fines for breaking any of them, even if you were unaware you were breaking the "law," or had any intention of doing so.

Folks, we’ve had a fascist government for years now.  Almost none of these jailable federal offenses are legal, for they have no constitutional authority to be so.  Zero has merely accelerated this federal fascism to warp speed.

And actually, as our fellow TTPer pointed out, that’s the good news:  "We’re on the verge of a historic sea change and we have no one but Obama to thank."  There’s a big conditional to this, though.  The opportunity for a "historic sea change" towards freedom and away from fascism is here, no doubt.

But it will require a Republican president and Republican Congress with the courage and determination to make that opportunity become reality.  What candidates for president, what current leaders in Congress have it?

OK, folks, that’s it for this week – and one week from now I’ll be seeing many of you at Rendezvous XI.  We are going to have such a wonderful time together – I hope to see you there.

One last note: my novel, The Jade Steps, is now available on Amazon in an electronic Kindle version.  Instead of $34.95 for the physical book (which includes shipping and has color pictures), you can now read The Jade Steps on Kindle for only $9.99.

This just happened – so there are no reviews.  Feel free to contribute yours!
