Aren’t Prelims just so exciting?  Every boxing fan knows the preliminary bouts are where the real action is – who cares about the Main Event, right?

So – the entire gaggle of DC elite and pinkostream enemedia punditry is going ga-ga-goo-goo over The Shutdown looming over them at midnight tonight – and while this is going to be really exciting to watch, baby, they ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

As we discussed last month in A Tsunami of Insanity, the only chance we have to divert the insanity from sweeping the US economy away is for Congress next month to refuse to raise the debt ceiling.  As we saw in last week’s HFR, one Senator who realizes this is Marco Rubio.

This week, Reuters/CNBC revealed the numbers.  Brace yourselves, hold on tight.  For the federal government to continue spending at current levels for the rest of FY2011 – i.e., for just the next six months –  Congress will have to increase the federal debt ceiling by over one trillion dollars.

Yes, it will take a trillion dollars of more debt just to keep the federales going to the end of September.  To keep them going through November 2012 will take well over two trillion.

Gasping for breath?  Feel you need three fingers of Famous Grouse?  Better keep the bottle handy because this is coming fast.  Reuters explains:

"U.S. public debt stood $84 billion below the $14.294 trillion statutory limit as of Tuesday (April 5). The Treasury has said it will reach the limit by May 16, although it could take steps to delay the day of reckoning until around July 8."

(Note however Reuters is in error about FY2011 expiring at the end of October; it expires on Sept. 30)

Let’s make this visual.  Here is the future of the US Dollar, the world’s reserve currency, unless Tea Party Republicans in Congress can block raising the debt ceiling.  As you look at this, let it sink in that this is what Zero and the Hate-America Democrats want, this is their dream and goal:

This could buy you three eggs in Zimbabwe – until the Mugabe regime abandoned its currency altogether in 2009, allowing its subjects to use dollars, pounds, and rands instead.

If you are of a certain age, you’ll remember what Barry Goldwater’s campaign theme was back in 1964:  "A Choice, Not An Echo."

This was an early expression of the contempt that conservatives have for the Court Party, the collusion of Rino-Republican and Democrat elites in Washington, or for the cowardly hypocrisy of Pubs claiming to be for freedom and free markets but always wimping out to socialist Dems.

Barry Goldwater finally got his choice this week, provided by a geeky guy from Wisconsin – named Paul Ryan.

There is absolutely positively no doubt that Paul Ryan, Chairman of the House Budget Committee, is the HFR Hero of the Week.

His budget was introduced on Tuesday (4/05), cutting $6.2 trillion over the next 10 years (yes, it eliminates all ethanol and other "renewable" subsidies immediately) – and notice how he had his ducks lined up.  An op-ed in the Wall Street Journal by him along with a full-court media press; the full backing of Boehner, his committee, and the entire Republican caucus.

Now, you know the old lawyer joke.  What do you call a giant cruise ship chartered for a lawyers’ convention that sinks, with 5,000 dead lawyers at the bottom of the ocean?  A good start.

Ryan’s budget is a good start, defunding ObamaCare completely ("not one dime" for it, says Ryan), permanently banning earmarks, eliminating Fannie & Freddie, structurally reforming Medicare and food stamps, all kinds of cool stuff.

That said, it leaves Social Security alone and most regulatory agencies pretty much unscathed.  It projects $3.529 trillion in federal spending for FY 2012 (10/01/11-9/30/12) and $2.533 trillion in revenue – meaning that even with Ryan’s budget, the federal deficit is increased just $5 billion short of another trillion dollars for just next year.

So you can see where the rubber really meets the road – with the debt ceiling not the budget.  Remember, if a majority of the House (218 members) does not vote to rise the debt ceiling, game over, there is nothing the Senate, the President, or any government agency can do about it.  (The Fed could increase the money supply, but no government agency can take that money and spend it.)

Still, enormous congratulations to Paul Ryan for his brilliant courage.  What he’s done is so good that even the New York Times can’t help praising him.  What he’s done to the Dems on Capitol Hill is devastating.  Thanks, Paul.

OK, time to take a break and soak up the schadenfreude.  Admit it, you are laughing your socks off in malicious glee over the union thugs of Wisconsin taking it in the shorts this morning.

They thought they had the defeat of State Supreme Court Justice David Prosser in the bag.  Then suddenly – boom! – a chickadee named Kathy Nickolaus announces, oops, sorry, I forgot to push Ctrl-S for a whole city’s votes, my bad.  Prosser gets 7,500 more votes and wins going away.  Truly delicious.

The unionista moochers are viciously mad, and will undoubtedly take it out on Ms. Nickolaus with death threats, smear campaigns, the whole thug shtick.  TTPers might consider contacting the Waukesha County Clerk’s office with a message of support.

At least the new Republican government in Wisconsin is trying to solve the problems caused by the moocher class.  In California, the Dem government is determined to make them worse.

As awful as he was, Schwarzenegger vetoed some 60 of the most egregious bills passed by the Dem legislature, like providing college aid money to illegals, and with Moonbeam in place of Ahnuld now, they are reviving them all.

And how ‘bout this?  The LA Times reported today (4/08) that "scores" of California government agencies and some 180 local governments are increasing pension benefits for their public union employees – at a time when the state budget is $26 billion in the hole this year.  The Land of Fruits and Nuts indeed.

Which brings us to the coming war between Blacks and Mexican Illegals in California.

Government hiring of blacks has created the black working and middle class in California.  The government they get their paychecks from is $26 billion in debt right now.

The second largest school district in the US (after NY City) is the Los Angeles Unified School District with some 700,000 students.  Over 300,000 of them (42%) are classified as Latino "English learners" – the code term for children of Mexican/Hispanic illegals

Because the vast majority of illegals from Mexico arrive here with little or no education, they can neither read nor write.  Thus fully one-third of the adult population in Los Angeles County now is illiterate.  Many regions of California are similar, such as Imperial Valley with over 40% illiteracy – sub-Saharan levels.

This is why, according to a study released this week by the Center for Immigration Studies, close to 60% of immigrant households in California are on welfare.  It also explains why, according to a publication of the University of California at Davis, Rural Migration News, there are now cities in California over 95% Hispanic with a lower per capita income than that of Mexico.

A California Congressman tells me that illegals from Mexico are now costing the state government at least $22 billion a year (e.g., welfare programs, 1/3 of all students K-12, 1/3 of all convicts in prison, etc.).

With this cost of $22 billion and a debt of $26 billion, California Democrats must soon choose between funding of Mexican illegals or the Black middle class.  Whatever the choice, the losing side will get violent.

However alarmingly serious you may consider this situation, it doesn’t hold a candle to that of Europe with Moslem immigration.  Mexicans are Christians, they are part of Western Civilization.  We may call them aliens if they are here illegally, but they are not alien to our civilization, they don’t hate it and wish to destroy it.

Moslems are alien to our civilization.  They despise it, and worse, demand that we accommodate them, not the other way around.  Take a gaze at this list of over 750 Zones Urbaines Sensibles, Sensitive Urban Zones, published by the French government.  These are Sharia Enclaves ruled by Moslems where French police are off limits and dare not enter.

The "no-go" zones are off-limits to regular French and non-Moslems.  They have sharia courts, sharia police who enforce sharia law – women must wear burqas, no selling of alcohol or pork, etc. – and armed guards at the entrances who will ward off French police at gunpoint.

For any French man or woman who has the temerity to remain in the one of the zones and not move, life becomes a hell.  Marie Neige-Sardin knows.  She has a small store in Seine-Saint Denis north of Paris which has become Moslemized.  For refusing to leave, she’s been gang-raped, had acid thrown at her, and constantly threatened.  Here’s her heroic story:

Last October, in an attempt to start bringing a halt to this, the French government passed a law banning anyone from "wearing a garment that hides the face in public places," i.e., women wearing burqas.  The "ban-the-burqa" law takes effect and starts being enforced this coming Monday (4/11).

The French government has created a website, The Unmasked Face, to explain the law.  Any woman publicly wearing a burqa in France after April 10 is to be fined 150 euros ($215) and will be required to attend a "citizenship" class, learning about French customs and ways.

The ban on face veils will apply "in the streets, in post offices, cinemas, restaurants, public transport, beaches, gardens and any other public space. It won’t apply in homes, hotel rooms, at work, in cars and near religious venues."  Any woman refusing to remove her veil in public will be taken to the nearest police station where she must prove her identity.

I can’t wait to see how the law is applied in the Sensitive Zones.

Next up, "No more prayers in the streets" (see the video above), promises French Interior Minister Claude Gueant.  He also promises to substantially increase the expulsion of Moslem illegal immigrants, returning them to their home country, and to substantially decrease the number of Moslem immigrants allowed in.

Sarkozy’s France is at last starting to get serious about a potentially fatal problem.  Let’s wish the French luck, and hope we watch and learn.

This observation just in from Jack Kelly:

"If the highlight of the liberals’ week is that Glenn Beck will terminate his daily show on Fox, it’s pretty clear we had a good week."

Mr. Kelly also agrees with me about Donald Trump.  We both sure don’t want him as president, but we sure like what he’s saying about Zero.  Here’s what Trump said on the Today Show yesterday (4/07):

I hate what’s happening to the country…What we’re doing is unbelievable. If you look at what’s going on, where our jobs are disappearing to foreign countries…You’re going paying 7 or 8 dollars a gallon for your oil soon.

I blame a lot (on Obama). It’s been a terrible presidency…
What’s going on with this country, the way we’re spending money like drunken sailors, we are just absolutely…going to destroy our own freedom…

If there is a shutdown, I think it would be a tremendously negative mark on the president of the United States. He’s the one who has to get people together. I’m a deal man. I’ve made hundreds and hundreds of deals and transactions. He’s never done deals before…How’s he going to corral all these people?…You don’t have the right leader…

I think Obamacare is a total disaster…This country is going to hell.

David Limbaugh makes the key point here:

"The issue here is not Obama’s birth certificate; it is Trump’s aggressive, offensive posture in challenging Obama across the board. He rightly recognizes that America’s financial condition is in shambles and contends that Obama’s incoherent approach to foreign policy is making the U.S. a laughingstock in the international community."

Now if only members of the Pub "presidential field" could summon the gumption of The Donald and go after the fraud of this Zero Presidency.

And this from our friends at TeaParty Patriots about what they call the current Hostage Crisis:

What President Obama is really saying:

"Pay the ransom (allow us to continue massive government spending) or we stop paying the military!"

"Pay the ransom (allow us to continue massive government spending) or we won’t mail you your IRS refund check!"

"Pay the ransom (allow us to continue massive government spending) or we will ruin the tourists’ vacations who are going to DC for the Cherry Blossom Festival!"

"Pay the ransom (allow us to continue massive government spending) or we will close the National Parks and ruin family vacations!"

Yes, we, the producers, are being held hostage by the moochers and moonbats  Time to shrug and throw off the shackles.

One last item.  The HFR has just learned that, in response to the "sensitivity training" regarding homosexuals being forced upon our servicemen, the use of the Russian word for homosexuals is spreading through military ranks in all services, and especially the Marines.

The Russian word for homosexuals is zhopniki.  It means "men of the butt."  An individual homosexual in Russian is a zhopnik, a "man of the butt."

This could catch on.  We just might see "gay" replaced by "zhopnik." It’s already happening in our military…..
