HALF-FULL REPORT 12/31/10

Finally, finally,  finally… 2010 is over.  At last we can get on with 2011, the year America’s Rescue begins.  I can hardly wait.

So can the TTP Forum’s "Mae" – Lynda Mae Calhoun, who thanks in no small part to your prayers had a successful surgery and is well on the road to recovery.  Congratulations, Mae!

Paul Ryan can’t wait for 2011 either.  You learned about what he’s up to in Barry’s Dream yesterday (12/30).  Now there’s an Update.  House Dems got the vapors last night when they learned that Ryan, as Chairman of the Budget Committee, will have the power to set spending ceilings without a vote of the full House.

This is a big deal.  Any budget that comes out of Congress now cannot exceed Ryan’s limits, which will force really serious spending cuts.

Add this to Boehner’s replacing the Dems’ "pay-go" fraud (they exempted all their giant spending bills from it), with the Pubs’ "cut-go" rule.  This requires that any increase in one government program (including entitlements!!) mandates a concomitant decrease in another.  Cut-go forbids any entitlement spending increase be made up with tax increases.

All next year, it’s going to be like witnesses to Dante’s Inferno to sit in the House Gallery and gaze down upon Dems writhing in agony on the House Floor like it’s the bottom rung of Hell.  When they realize the torture is likely to be eternal – i.e., for the rest of their political lives – expect a lot of them to call it quits.

Want to see them writhe some more?  RINOs too?  A number of new members in the 112th Congress are deep-down angry over a story in last Sunday’s (12/26) WaPo: Lawmakers Seek Cash During Key Votes – angry enough to take action.

So watch for this term to emerge next year:  legislative recusal.

Judicial recusal is when a judge recuses or disqualifies himself from ruling on a case when he or a member of his immediate family has a financial interest in the outcome of the proceeding.

Legislative recusal would require a legislator (House or Senate) to recuse himself from voting on a bill financially affecting individuals (separately or in a group such as a labor union or corporation) who have made campaign contributions or gifts to him in the recent past, say 24 months.

This is one iteration.  The basic concept is to apply judicial recusal to politicians.  Expect Tea Party Republicans to champion it – and RINOs’ heads to explode.

Isn’t this just the best New York snowstorm ever?  It’s an example of what we’ll be seeing more of next year:  Black Swans of the Right.  A "black swan" now in common parlance, is some game-changing event that comes straight out of the unexpected blue.

Black swans often precipitate political crises – which the Left has specialized in using to expand government power.  The Christmas Blizzard in New York, however, may be our first black swan of 2011.

First, it is New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Katrina.  He can’t even unplow the streets of Manhattan, so he can kiss his contemplated 3rd party run for the White House goodbye.  G’nite, Mike.

More importantly, black swans can be a catalyst, rapidly accelerating the political possibility of a goal that would otherwise have taken much longer to achieve.

The public union workers whose job it is to unplow New York streets have revealed their union bosses told them not to as a protest against budget cuts.  The average "sanitation worker" in New York makes over $66,000 a year plus thousands more in overtime plus a Cadillac health insurance plan plus a platinum-plated pension.

It’s well-known in the abstract that public employee unions are bankrupting state government across the country – but this black swan outrage in particular can catalyze the nascent movement for making public unions illegal – once again.

For they always were until about 40 years ago.  Around half of the 50 states have made them legal since then, and everywhere they have proven to be an economic and political curse.  Expect to see De-legalize Public Unions to accelerate as a conservative cause in 2011.

While the East Coast is digging out of the Christmas Blizzard, President Zero and his family are basking in Hawaiian sunshine – a perfect opportunity for a bearded midget named Neil Abercrombie to grab the spotlight as Hawaii’s new governor.

He’s loudly proclaiming he’ll disprove "birther" (actually, they call themselves "verifiers’) claims that Zero wasn’t born a US citizen.  He says he knew Zero’s mother and father as friends in the 1960s.  I wouldn’t doubt that – for they were Communists, as was/is he.

In 1968, I was a philosophy graduate student at the University of Hawaii uninterested in politics.  I just wanted to study Aristotle.  But all these Marxist Hate America student protests kept getting in the way.  They were led by this wild-haired, wild-eyed hippie rabble rouser whose rhetoric straight from the Communist Manifesto brought crowds of hippie-lefties into deliriums of detestation for their country.

His protests ticked me off so much I formed my own student group, Students for Laissez Faire, radicals for capitalism.  We made the lefties go apoplectic.

The hippie Marxist leader was Neil Abercrombie.  He got elected to Congress 20 years ago, and learned how to hide his Marxism behind a mask of affability.  Now he’s Hawaii’s governor and about to get what he’s deserved for so long.

What’s kept Hawaii afloat for decades has been the "earmark spigot" kept flowing by Dem Senator Daniel Inouye and Congresscritters like Abercrombie.  The 112th Congress is turning Hawaii’s earmark spigot off.  The state budget is hundreds of millions in the hole.  Good luck, Neil.

(Note:  Why Zero refuses to release his actual birth certificate is a mystery to even leftie Chris Matthews.  The HFR suspects, along with researchers such as Jerry Corsi, that he is covering up not his citizenship but his paternity – that his biological father was not Obama Sr. but Communist poet Frank Marshall Davis.)

How’s this for the Best Headline of the Week?  Immigration Overhaul Seems Dead (LA Times, 12/27).  The great Dem effort to legalize illegal aliens has failed – and as long as there’s a Pub House majority, it will stay that way.  Best political achievement of the year.

Or this for Most Intriguing Headline of the Week?  Wikileaks will be the death of big business and big government.  Let’s hope so.

And surely this is the Funniest:  Expect More Extreme Winters Thanks to Global Warming, Say Scientists.  Yes, members of the Church of Warmism masquerading as scientists are claiming "melting Arctic sea ice" due to warmism is causing the terrible winter weather in Britain.

This is refuted with ease by climatologist Andre Watts, who provides the actual data over the last several years with these Arctic Sea Ice charts.  Then again, sea-ice melt won’t work as an excuse for record cold in India, a long ways from Britain.

2010 was the year that Warmism was irrefutably exposed as a religion, not a theory or hypothesis of real science.  What characterizes the former is a form of belief that is impervious to evidence.  What characterizes the latter is assent based on evidence.

In 2011, you are going to see an interesting argument emerge in the Halls of Congress against any government support of any kind for Warmism, which will specifically target any regulation of CO2 as a "pollutant."  You can expect a floor speech along these lines:

"In America, we believe very strongly there must be a separation of Church and State, that is, our government is prohibited from establishing a State Religion with taxpayer money and support.

"Advocacy of a belief in man-made or anthropogenic global warming (AGW) has become just such a State Religion.  As evidence mounts that AGW is not true, that nature and the sun drive our weather, not us and our tiny amounts of CO2 compared to that produced naturally, the more hysterical become the claims of AGW’s advocates.

"Any real scientific hypothesis  postulates how it can be disproven or falsified.  I challenge AGW advocates to clearly state how their theory can be disproven, what evidence would they accept that proves they are mistaken.

"Just as religious believers do not accept any evidence as refuting their faith, so believers in what I call the Religion of Warmism never accept evidence that counts against it.  I invite them to demonstrate how their belief in warmism can be falsified.

"Failure to provide this designates Warmism as a religion, not a scientific theory.  Unless this is provided, I shall introduce legislation to ban any agency or arm of the federal government from using any money to support, subsidize, promulgate or issue any regulation based upon this Religion of Warmism on the basis of Church-State Separation."

The HFR isn’t sure just when this floor speech will be given – but it is sure that one attempt of Warmist Fascism will be blocked in Congress very soon.  The chief propagandist for the Church of Warmism, the New York Times, is very alarmed by this, the Coming Assault on the EPA.

What this means is that one of the very first defunding targets of the 112th will be the EPA.  This Sunday (1/02), EPA regulations regarding all kinds of "CO2 polluting" activities take effect, which Energy Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI) condemns as "an unconstitutional power grab that will kill millions of jobs" – unless, he says, Congress defunds it.

The money for all – all – federal agencies runs out on March 4.  All Fred has to do is not authorize any money to be spent by the EPA to implement their anti-CO2 regs.  Keep your eye on him and his feet to the fire.

Keep your eye on Spencer Bachus (R-AL) too, the new Chairman of Financial Services who’s promising to defund large parts of FinReg, the 2,000 pages of financial fascism sponsored by Chris Dodd and Barney Frank.  Bachus is eyeing one of the most onerous pieces of the bill that creates the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau as a special defunding target.

If you have a third eye, watch Jack Kingston (R-GA), who chairs the appropriations subcommittee that oversees the FDA.  He intends to do grave defunding damage to the Food Gestapo Act just passed by the Lame Schmucks.

One example:  the bill requires hiring 2,000 more FDA inspectors.  All Kingston has to do is see the money to pay them is not there.

Will these guys and their colleagues show spines of iron or jello?  We’ll find out quickly – for the defunding opportunities have to be taken advantage of by March 4.

There’s so much more coming for 2011, but the HFR has a New Years Eve Party to get to and so do you.  We’ll close with the TTPer of the Year Award.

Notice the key, the recurrent theme over and again, for undoing the damage the Dems have wrought upon us, is the D word:  Defund.  One year ago, December 17, 2009, TTP introduced The Double-D Strategy for Rescuing America.  It was the first time the Defund Strategy was proffered to the 112th Republican Majority Congress predicted to emerge a year away.

Now here we are, and defund is becoming the watchword of 2011.  One reason it has done so is because one TTPer took it upon himself to see the defunding meme went viral.  On the Forum, he’s known as "Mitch Rapp".  We all know him as Jason.

Jason took the initiative and borrowed the money to launch and maintain the website that enabled the defunding meme to go viral, Defund and Disobey.

We owe Jason an enormous debt of gratitude.  And in truth, we owe him more than that.  Jason is a few grand in the hole, and he has to pay back the dough he borrowed.  No one has to dig deep.  If we all just sent Jason 10 bucks, he’d be above water.  All you have to do is click the Support D&D link.  It’s a small thing, but it’ll help a great American:  Jason "Mich Rapp" Attas,  TTPer of the Year.

And now to you all – 2010 is gone, 2011 is here.  Time to celebrate.  2011 will be wonderful year to be an American.

Happy New Year!!!!!
