HALF-FULL REPORT 07/16/10

Last week (7/08) in This Is No Accident, Comrades, we discussed this possibility:

"Our country is faced with an impending economic catastrophe, a Second Great Depression.  It is being brought about on purpose by a political party that cares only for keeping and expanding its power, and looks upon prosperity as a threat to that power.

That party is now being threatened with being thrown out of power.  If that party is evil enough and fascist enough to cause an economic catastrophe, it is certainly evil and fascist enough to cause a physical catastrophe, an Ultimate October Surprise, that will frighten and enrage voters enough to preserve its power in November.

What could this be?  The most likely would be another 9/11, a massively horrific terrorist attack, perhaps even nuclear."

This week (7/13), the London Financial Times interviewed a key power-broker of the Democrat Party, Robert Shapiro,  Clinton’s Undersecretary of Commerce and founder of the hyper-liberal Progressive Policy Institute, on Democrat prospects in November.  Here’s the money quote:

"The bottom line here is that Americans don’t believe in President Obama’s leadership. He has to find some way between now and November of demonstrating that he is a leader who can command confidence and, short of a 9/11 event or an Oklahoma City bombing, I can’t think of how he could do that."

Did you just say, OMG?

The encore story came the next day (7/14) with the headline in the New York Daily News:  Top Obama officials worried U.S. terror attack by Al Shabaab may be next after Uganda bombings.

Time for TeaPartyers to start that letter and email campaign suggested in "No Accident, Comrades" – don’t you think?

We are now light years beyond a replay of Jimmy Carter squishy incompetence.  We are into something approaching Leninist evil.  Perhaps you heard about the billboard the North Iowa Tea Party put up in Mason City (halfway between Des Moines and Minneapolis):

o_hitler-lenin-zero_billboard.jpg

After a firestorm of lib media outrage, the Iowan TeaPartyers wimped out and had it taken down.  That’s how evil triumphs.

At the Freedom Fest in Vegas last week, I talked to a lot of people who were afraid – that a Republican Majority in Congress next year would wimp out just like the TeaPartyers in Iowa.

Yet again yesterday (7/15), the Dems passed – thanks to Traitor Scott Brown – another fascist monstrosity, the 2,300 page Dodd-Frank "Wall Street Reform Bill."

As the Senate was voting, John Boehner announced that he will lead an effort to repeal the bill, just as he has proposed the 112th Congress repeal ObamaCare.  Does anyone really believe that Boehner – who has been in Congress for 20 years and did nothing to prevent the orgy of spending under George W. Bush – has the spine to do this?

And for what?  To spend massive amounts of political energy and capital to pass repeals that Zero will simply veto?

If Boehner was serious, he would make a far different announcement:  that should he be the Speaker next year, he will appoint only those Congressmen to chair the Appropriations Committees (there are 12) who pledge to defund the implementation of ObamaCare, Financial Deform, and the rest of the Zero Agenda.

TTPer Mitch Rapp of Defund & Disobey will be pleased to learn he has an ally in Mark Tapscott of the Washington Examiner.  Yesterday (7/15), Tapscott explained the solution to Zero’s recess appointment of socialist Donald Berwick to "the single most powerful job in the federal government for shaping health care policy in America," Administrator of Medicare & Medicaid:

"The most basic power given to the House by the Constitution (is) the power of the purse, to decide how federal money will be spent through appropriations. Presidents can appoint but the House has no obligation whatsoever to fund positions held by individuals whose views are clearly noxious to the maintenance of the constitutional morality that insures republican stability." (Emphasis added)

Folks, the Defund Strategy really is the key to restoring freedom in America.  It is the way to literally zero-out Zero’s fascism.  Everything the federal government does has to be funded by a House appropriation – even to the salaries and all related expenses (an office, phones, computers, staff, etc.) of any appointee to a federal position.

So, Mitch, we all need to let Tapscott know that his proposal for Congress to refuse to fund Berwick’s position applies to the entire corpus of Fascist Democrat legislation passed in the last 18 months – including ObamaCare, what remains of the Stimulus, Financial Deform, plus any passage of Cap-Trade, the EPA’s regulation of CO2 as a pollutant, everything, the whole enchilada.

Then we need to let every other conservative pundit and pol in the country know this as well.   The Pubs in the 112th don’t need to repeal a darn thing.  Chairing the Aps Committees, all they have to do is "Just say no."  No money, no fascism.  Repeal can wait until a Palin or Christie presidency.

Let’s get to work.

Speaking of 2012.  Last December, the HFR made this prediction about the PIAPS herself, Hillary Clinton:

She can’t wait for 2016 as she’ll be almost 70, and she can’t keep the public’s attention on her that long anyway.  Nope, folks, she’s going for 2012.  After the Dem disaster next November, she will fix all the blame for it on Zero, resign as Secretary of State, announce her candidacy, beat Zero in the primaries (if he doesn’t pull a LBJ and drop out), and be the Dem nominee.

Well, what should appear in yesterday’s (7/15) Wall Street Journal but Republican Pete Du Pont (former governor of Delaware and presidential aspirant) saying Hillary Clinton for President.

Pete’s purpose for writing this is of course to be an agent provocateur, to exacerbate the growing animosity between the Dems in Congress and the Zero White House.  Nonetheless, Pete has figured out Hillary’s agenda.  Maybe he reads To The Point.

Things are going so bad for Dems in Congress that articles predicting they will lose the House in November are now a dime-a-dozen, and ones predicting the Senate is in play are starting to appear.

So it’s time to revise the 2010 Senate Sitrep from almost a year ago (August 2009!).

36 seats are at stake, evenly split at 18 each between R’s & D’s.

13 of the R seats are safe:  Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Utah.

4 more should be retained: Kentucky with Rand Paul, Ohio with Rob Portman, New Hampshire with Kelly Ayotte, while Marco Rubio is likely to trounce political chameleon Charlie Crist in Florida.

The one remaining is Missouri, with "RINO Roy" Blunt running neck & neck with Dem Robin Carnahan.  This is the biggest R maybe.

7 of the D seats are safe:  Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, New York (2), Oregon, and Vermont.

The HFR now predicts the Dems will lose 9 (compared to 5-7 last August):  Arkansas, California (Fiorina will beat Boxer), Colorado (Buck over Bennett), Delaware, Illinois (Kirk over mob banker Giannoulias), Indiana, North Dakota, Pennsylvania (Toomey over Sestak), Washington (Rossi over Murray).

Wisconsin is a toss-up between Dem incumbent Russ Feingold and Pub challenger Ron Johnson. And the HFR really, really hates to say this, but Lost Harry Reid will wipe out good-hearted but Pub amateur Sharron Angle in Nevada.

There’s a bright side to this.  The current Senate is 59 D, 41 R.  A Dem loss of 9 makes it 50-50, so Lost Harry would still be Majority Leader via Slow Joe Biden as the tie-breaker (or 8 for 51-49 if Blunt loses).  He’ll get nothing but torment and grief.  And the Dem strategy of blame-the-mean-Republicans for next year’s economic collapse that they precipitated this year will get far less traction.

Remember – the action is in the House next year.  All the Senate is good for is to block bad Democrat legislative sewage from the House.  All the Pubs running the House have to do is Defund and get the government out of the way.  They could even defund tax collecting agencies until the Dems and Zero agree to restore the Bush tax cuts and cut capital gains.

Remember our mantra:  Defund… defund…defund… defund.

Now for an important announcement regarding the Victory Rendezvous in Washington DC, November 5-7.  TTP’s one and only Miko negotiated the amazing price of $119 a night at the Key Bridge Marriott right on the Potomac River.  Now he’s arranged for a special price to attend the Rendezvous:  $285.

That includes meals, speakers, activities, the whole Rendezvous.  But there’s a big but:  This $285 price is an Early Bird Special that expires August 31st.  After that, it’s $325.  So make up your mind now to be with us and celebrate November 2nd.  Just go to Rendezvous Registration, save 40 bucks, and commit to have a  fabulous celebratory time with your fellow TTPers.

We close the HFR this week with a request.  As you know, my son Brandon is in harm’s way, fighting for America against Moslem terrorist evil in Afghanistan.  He has asked for your help.

What will mean so much to him is for TTPers to send a "care package" for his men.  Here’s how to do it.

Go to your local post office and ask for an APO/FPO Flat Rate Box, priority mail label, and custom form.

The box is about 12 inches by 12 inches by 6 inches. Any thing that you can fit into the box is a flat rate no matter how heavy the box is. The price will range between $8-12 depending on where you are sending it from.  Delivery time is 2-3 weeks. You will have to fill out a customs form declaring what you are sending and the value.

Here are some suggestions for what Brandon’s Marines would like to have:

Beef jerky, tuna pouches (better than cans), energy/protein food bars, nuts, granola, cookies, packets of electrolyte replacement powder, chewing gum, baby wipes, hand sanitizer, toothpaste/brushes, foot powder, socks in various sizes (SmartWool hiking socks, light for summer, are best now), battery fans or other cooling mechanisms, magazines, ziplock bags of various sizes.

Remember, Marines are hungry and thirsty!  So go heavy on food, snacks, and drink packets.  Anything liquid or could spill should be in a ziplock bag.

Don’t put in the box:  chocolate, perishables, anything that melts, alcohol, or cash.

But do put in the box stuff for kids in the villages:  pens and notebooks, coloring books and crayons, individually wrapped candies, small little toys, small American flags, things they can pass out to the kids.

Address the box to:

1st Lt. Brandon H. Wheeler
2/6 E CO
Unit 76267
FPO AE 09510-6267

You might also consider including a birthday card or letter to Brandon, as August 3rd is his birthday.

And feel free to send more than one box!  I want Brandon to know how much TTPers support him and his fellow Marines risking their lives for us.  I know I can depend on you.  Thank you all so much.
