What’s this on Drudge today?  A news flash that Dick Morris is predicting Hillary will "throw Obama under the bus" and run in 2012?

Ahem.  Your attention is directed to the HFR of December 18, 2009:

"As her popularity will now soar ever higher over Zero, realize that all of this is  by her design… She can’t wait for 2016 as she’ll be almost 70, and she can’t keep the public’s attention on her that long anyway.  Nope, folks, she’s going for 2012.  After the Dem disaster next November, she will fix all the blame for it on Zero, resign as Secretary of State, announce her candidacy, beat Zero in the primaries (if he doesn’t pull a LBJ and drop out), and be the Dem nominee."

You’re behind the TTP times, Dick.

YouCut – that’s the program announced by Eric Cantor (R-VA) giving Americans an opportunity to vote (online or cell phone) on what government spending items they’d like to House to eliminate.  Three cheers for Eric and his colleagues.

Each week the YouCut website (http://republicanwhip.house.gov/YouCut/) will offer up five programs and the winner – the one most folks voted to cut – will be announced the following Monday.

TTP would like to suggest an easy method to determine which one to vote for:  the one with biggest price tag.  One of the five this week chops off a measly million bucks.  Two of them chop off $2.5 and $2.6 billion.  Choosing between these two would seem to be the call.  After a while, as the winner always seems to have the biggest price tag, they may start to get serious, offering up programs costing scores of billions or even entire agencies on the chopping block.

Cantor has a good idea – it’s part of the whole Defund Strategy.  For it to work, there have to be Congresscritters willing to defund government programs.  Yesterday, the WaPo ran a story about how the Republicans are specifically targeting Democrat committee chairmen like Ike Skelton.  Well and good – but when are they going to target their own pigout leaders addicted to earmarks and spending?

Like Jerry Lewis (R-CA) or Bill Young (R-FL).  Both are corrupt septuagenarian spendaholics who’ve been in Congress since the 70s.  Young was chairman of House Appropriations 1999-2005, Lewis 2005-2007, both refused to cut any spending under Bush, and one or the other will be chairman again after the GOP gains the majority in November.  Unless the TeaPartyers somehow manage to "persuade" their colleagues to vote them off the committee.

The key to the Defund Strategy is who becomes the Cardinals of Appropriations – the committee chairman and chairmen of the 12 subcommittees.

Article I, Section 9, Clause 7 of the Constitution states:

No money shall be drawn from the treasury, but in consequence of appropriations made by law; and a regular statement and account of receipts and expenditures of all public money shall be published from time to time

Authorization for all federal government spending is initiated by the Appropriations Committee.  In this current 111th Congress there are 23 Pubs and 36 Dems.  This will pretty much flip for the 112th.  TeaPartyers better start focusing of getting the Porkers kicked off Appropriations and getting Defunders assigned to it.

Here’s another goal TeaPartyers need to focus on:  Getting rid of the Administrative State.

An important article on this was in the Washington Times this week.  It correctly notes that the structure of our government is based of the separation of powers, which means the legislature passes laws, the executive executes them, and the judiciary judges them – and none does each other’s job.

Yet the vast majority of laws in the US today are executive branch rules and regulations never passed by the legislature.  Federal and state unelected bureaucracies pass laws, enforce them, and punish people for violating them.  All of this is unconstitutional.

An example of the Administrative State made the news this week when some Federalie bureaucracy called the National Mediation Board partially enacted the unions’ Card Check fascism into law.  Congress never voted on this.  The bureaucrats just decided suddenly and it’s a law with criminal and huge financial penalties for breaking it.

And what business – especially one with shareholders who will panic and sell their shares – will announce:  This rule is not a law, it is unconstitutional law-making by the executive branch, and we will not obey it?  Even though the "law" will result in destroying that company.

Zero and his minions are now engaging in an orgy of such rules.  On Wednesday (5/12), the New York Times gleefully proclaimed a "new age of regulation" under the current regime in Washington.  The "new cops on the beat" are passing hundreds of new federal mandates and "stepping up" their enforcement.

It never occurs to the NYT to consider the consequences of police passing laws themselves instead of only enforcing laws voted on and passed by an elected legislature.  Those consequences are the destruction of the fundamental structure of our government, and the replacement of constitutional democracy with fascist tyranny.

What is the answer?  Disobedience.  Refusal to obey bureaucratic edicts.  A civil rights movement with mass civil disobedience by TeaPartyers and other American patriots.  The Administrative State must be replaced with a Constitutional State.  TeaPartyers should accept nothing less.

Need another example of what’s at stake in November?  How about your 401(k) retirement savings?

Via something called the Employee Benefits Security Administration, a group of fascisti within the Labor Department, the Dems are planning to seize your and everyone else’s savings a lá Argentina to fund public union worker pensions.

The way to prevent this is a Republican majority in the 112th Congress.  If the Dems keep their majority, you will see millions of folks pulling all their money out of their 401(k)s, taking the penalty haircut, and putting it where government goons can’t steal it.

All those millions need to remember this in November.

Now, how about something that will really tick you off?  This week, plans were announced to build a gigantic 13-story Moslem mosque near Ground Zero, the site of Islam’s 9/11 attack on America.

Note it will be called "the Cordoba House."  What a telegraphic punch.  Cordoba was the capital of the Islamic Emirate of Al-Andalus (Andalusia) in Spain, seized by Moslem invaders from Africa in 711 and recaptured by Spanish Christians under Ferdinand III of Castille in 1236.  What better indication could there be of the Islamic intent to make America a Moslem Al-Andalus Emirate?

Religious and cultural imperialism is what Moslems do, who believe they are under the command of Allah to conduct Jihad upon infidels.  But what about the cowards among the infidels who submit to them?  Moslems call them dhimmis, roughly translated from the Arabic as "useful idiots."

You may find it astounding that of the 12 members of New York City municipal authority that approves or denies building applications in this part of the city – the Financial District Committee of the Manhattan Community Board 1 – all 12 voted unanimously to approve the Cordoba Mosque.  Not one of them – their names are here – is a Moslem.  This is "dhimmitude" on a pathological level.

If this thing ever starts getting built, someone is going to try and blow it up.  I sure hope they know what they are doing so that they’re successful.

There is good news, at least it’s half-full, from New York this week however.  On Monday (5/10), Gov. Patterson cajoled the New York legislature into voting to furlough 100,000 state public union workers one day a week.

The unions are going berserko, of course, even though the state has little choice as it can’t pay its bills and is $9 billion in the hole.  The furloughs were to start next week, saving the state $30 million a week or over $1.5 billion a year.

The news is only half-full, though, because on Wednesday (5/12) the unions got a liberal federal judge to block the furloughs.  Let’s hope that Gov. Patterson explains to the judge that blocking the furloughs leaves him with no alternative but to fire all 100,000 state public workers.  A 100% pay cut instead of a 20% one.  See how the lib judge likes that.

Word from TTPer "Citizen K" – the Forum’s resident expert on the "ol bidness" and all technology related to it – is that the Deepwater Horizon oil slick in the Gulf of Mexico has been shrinking, not expanding, as viewed in the Situation Status maps of the spill.

There is little danger to Louisiana now and less to the coasts of other Gulf states.  K also points out that you’ll be hearing a lot fewer loss-of-income complaints and claims from Louisianan fishermen and shrimpers as they are realizing BP will be asking for their tax returns as proof of past income.  Since they do business in undeclared cash, they are going to be mysteriously quiet.

The real danger is Zero and the Fascist Dems using this "crisis" to hurt and ideally destroy all oil and gas extraction in America.  One acute danger is their attack on the single most promising energy technology we have right now.

On Monday (5/10), the Wall Street Journal analyzed the global implications of this technology:  Shale Gas Will Rock the World.  It’s worth reading carefully – but you need to put these two quotes together, as the author doesn’t see the connection:

"There’s 1,000 trillion [that’s one quadrillion] cubic feet recoverable in North America alone-enough to supply the nation’s natural-gas needs for the next 45 years."

Shale gas will make it "harder for wind, solar and biomass energy, as well as nuclear, to compete on economic grounds. Subsidies that made renewables competitive with shale gas would get more expensive, as would loan guarantees and incentives for new nuclear plants. Shale gas also hurts the energy-independence argument for renewables: Shale gas is domestic, just like wind and solar, so we won’t be shipping those dollars to the Middle East."

In other words, shale gas production will wipe out all the billions in taxpayer subsidies moocher businessmen are expecting to scam with their "green technologies."  So they will do everything to support the Zerocrats’ anti-energy agenda.

Which is why you’ll see so many whores posing as honest businessmen arrayed behind Sens. Kerry and Lieberman in their press conference today announcing their Orwellian-named American Power Act.

The best news here is who is not there:  Lindsey Graham.  That means there is not a single Republican senator on board this Power Grab Act, so the Pubs should be able to block and stall it all the way to November.  Another reminder:  the 2nd of that month is shaping up to be the most important day of modern times.

Gotta go now – there’s a Rendezvous about to begin!  The HFR leaves you with The Salute of the Week to… the Russians.  Yes, for Dealing With Pirates The Russian Way.

When Somali pirates took over a Russian ship in the Indian Ocean, the Kremlin dispatched a warship, from which commandos snuck aboard the ship and captured the pirates.  The Russians then placed the ten pirates on a lifeboat with no gas and set it adrift.  They didn’t confirm the status of the pirates at the time – alive or throat-slit demised.

The only good pirate is a dead pirate – that’s the Russian way.  It should be ours.  Good for the Russkies.

Oh, by the way – the most popular article ever in TTP with over one million hits is Rocking Russkies, a Humor File from March 2008.  Over two years later, the Lucianne website posted it as a "Must Read" for this week.  Now we know what Dick Morris and Lucianne Goldberg have in common.
