A SERVICE PACK FOR YOUR LIFE

In the Age of Zero, let’s talk about  protecting your life and various components of it. Let’s start with communications.

In the past I have written about PGP¸ Kryptel and other applications for security. I would encourage you to take a look at a new secure email web application I came across called  4SecureMail.

The 4SecureMail system was designed to make email secure, with three goals in mind:

1. To provide secure email for company executives without risk of savvy employees being able to see highly confidential messages.

2. To allow employees the ability to have private email communications without others, including their employer, being able to monitor it.

3. Use it with full security from anywhere, even from behind a firewall, with only a standard web browser or standard email client and with no software to install.

It’s all put together on a high-end platform to provide 99.99% uptime using Athlon servers, enterprise-class Cisco networking gear, multiple Tier 1 backbone connections, fully redundant power and all of the usual bells and whistles you would expect to find in a 21st Century secure email provider.

Now let’s talk about water. Water, as one of the important essentials of our life, needs to be clean enough to be consumed without making us ill from parasitic infections, viruses, bacteria or other forms of contamination. That can be accomplished by investing in LifeSaver. This will clean up water from just about any source.

If you are a Macintosh user like me (or Skye), then here is a bevy of info on security:  http://www.macintouch.com/security.html

Fellow TTPer’s and American, let’s hope and pray it never gets to this but in case it does you might want to have one of these before you need it, like at a Tea Party Protest: gas masks, http://www.approvedgasmasks.com/mask-gas.htm

It’s important for all of us to believe in something, hopefully at a higher level than ourselves. For the  Christians amongst us you know where that is. I don’t believe in attempting to force my faith or beliefs on others. If you choose a different way, so be itJ.

It’s also important for us to be well-armed.  As an Endowment member of the NRA, I strongly believe in the Second Amendment. Join the NRA to educate yourself, protect your family and meet some wonderful law-abiding citizens.

To rhetorically arm you to defend the Amendment, here is a selection of quotes from my favorite NRA member, Charlton Heston. Rest in peace friend!

"There’s no such thing as a good gun. There’s no such thing as a bad gun. A gun in the hands of a bad man is a very dangerous thing. A gun in the hands of a good person is no danger to anyone except the bad guys."

"You could say that the paparazzi and the tabloids are sort of the `assault weapons’ of the First Amendment. They’re ugly, a lot of people don’t like them, but they’re protected by the First Amendment — just as `assault weapons’ are protected by the Second Amendment."

"Trigger locks? A ludicrous invention. If you can’t put it on a weapon without taking the bullets out, why put it on?"

"A five-day waiting period? It’s hard for me to accept that a guy says, ‘I’m going to kill that s.o.b., but, darn, I have this five-day waiting period.’ He probably still wants to kill him after five days."

"Ban Saturday-night specials? The black and Hispanic women who clean office buildings until 3 a.m. and then walk home–of course, they want a handgun in their purse."

"Limit purchases to one gun a month? It’s the camel’s nose in the tent. Look at Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, Mao Tse Tung, Pol Pot, Idi Amin — every one of these monsters, on seizing power, their first act was to confiscate all firearms in private hands."

"The law-abiding citizen is entitled to own a rifle, pistol, or shotgun. The right, put simply, shall not be infringed." — Before the Senate Judiciary Committee 9/23/98

Protect you life, protect your body, protect your information.  Especially in the Age of Zero.
