HOW YOU CAN HELP STOP GLOBAL WARMING

We'll get to what you can do in a moment, but first we're going to talk about bear fat.

From time immemorial, the Apache Indians in what is now Arizona have had a fool-proof way of determining if the coming winter would be cold or mild.  Sometime around October or so, they go into the mountains and shoot a bear.  They stopped using arrows to do this a long time ago.

Skinning out the bear, they examine its fat layer under the skin.  If it's thin and less viscous, the winter will be mild;  the thicker and more viscous, the colder the winter will be.  The Apaches on bear hunts over the past few weeks report the latter.

Ask ranchers out West, and they'll tell you that the coats of coyotes, ground squirrels, horses, cows, and any other critter with fur or a hide that lives outdoors are thicker this fall.

You'd be wise to pay attention to the Apaches and the ranchers, to the bears and coyotes, in preparing for this winter, rather than Algore and the glowarmers, or you are going to freeze your tush off.

To understand why, go to solarscycle24.com and click on the Sunspots box (in magenta, to the right of Trend Charts).  Up will come the monthly numbers of sunspots for the last 18 months.  You can see there have been hardly any for the last year.  In July there were just a couple and in August there were none at all.  This is the first time in over 100 years of solar measurement that a month passed without one single sunspot.

The sunspot-earth temperature mechanism was first explained in TTP over three years ago in Solar Warming (Sept. 2005).  It's worth re-reading now.  In sum, the higher the sun's magnetic activity (of which sunspots are the indication), the less cosmic ray-nucleated cloud cover which cools the earth.  Thus, more sunspots means warmer earth, fewer sunspots means colder.

As the evidence continues to mount that we are into global cooling, not warming, the glowarmers are getting more desperate in their denial.  A marvelous example was provided last week by the world's most evil mad scientist, NASA's James Hansen.

Hansen garnered headlines by announcing that last month was the hottest October on record.  It was a lie.  Hansen used September temperatures instead of October's in several regions such as Siberian Russia.  The sorry saga is detailed in this story in the London Daily Telegraph.

Hansen has also been systematically lying about warming in the US by manipulating data from the 1,221 climate measuring stations operated throughout the country by the United States Historical Climatology Network (USHCN).  You see, he oversees the collection, analysis, and computer modeling of the USHCN data.

But what, you ask, can you do about it?  You can sign up as a volunteer USHCN station inspector at surfacestations.org (SSO).

This is a volunteer network organized and conducted by real scientists to collect valid physical site survey data on climate measuring stations.  As the scientists note:

A significant number of USHCN and other weather stations used in the climate record have some significant, and in some cases severe measurement biases near the thermometers in these climate stations of record.

There have been instances recorded of air conditioners being located directly adjacent to the thermometer, vehicles parked next to thermometers head-in, heat generating electronics and electrical components being placed in the thermometer shelters within inches of the sensor, and sensors being located in the middle of large areas of asphalt/concrete and directly attached to buildings all in violation of standard published NOAA practices for temperature measurement.

None of these things witnessed by observers and captured by photography are known or accounted for by climate researchers.

Of the 1,221 stations in the US, 534 have so far been photographed and surveyed by SSO.  Scroll down a bit on the SSO homepage and you'll see a map of them.  Only 14% show no error in reporting, while 56% show an error of at least 2°C artificial warming, and 13% have 5°C.  The overwhelming bias towards warming is clear.

There are many more stations yet to be surveyed – and you can participate by clicking on the SSO Get Involved page.  Then write to your local paper and Congressista about what you discover and SSO in general.  You could ask your Congressista or Senator to personally contact NASA Administrator (thus Hansen's boss) Mike Griffin requesting that Hansen be fired for science fraud.

I know for certain that Griffin despises Hansen, knowing full well of his total dishonesty as a scientist.  Yet he feels Hansen has so much support in the media and on Capitol Hill that he is impregnable.  Give Griffin some Capitol Hill backup, and he just might discredit and fire Hansen anyway.

Discrediting Hansen by going public with the enormous amount of evidence available to do so – so much evidence there's even a name for it, "Hansenizing" data or "Hansenization" – could discredit the global warming hoax.

Few tasks are more important right now, for it's this hoax that NMP (aka President Zero) plans to use to gain a chokehold on the American economy and simultaneously raise a trillion or more dollars to dole out to mooching voters who will keep him in power in 2012.

Carbon caps and taxes, together with "alternative energy" boondoggle subsidies will do this job, and when vast energy shortages and blackouts result, Zero and the media will demonize greedy oilcos, environment-hating capitalists, and heartless Republicans for being responsible.

Always keep in mind the watchphrase:  Green is the new Red.  Environmentalism in general and anti-carbon glowarming in particular is the left's substitute for Marxism and Communism as a rationale for seizing power and control over people's lives.

Volunteering for surfacestations.org is one small way you can actively help.  TTP will be coming up with other ways as freedom deteriorates in the months ahead.  And if you have any ways to suggest, please let us know in the Forum.

To start this off, here's another suggestion:  contribute to the making of Not Evil Just Wrong, a film which is "documenting the true cost of global warming hysteria."  It's a noble cause.
