OBAMA IN GREECE

If you could bring the playwrights of Ancient Greece – Sophocles, Aeschylus, Euripides, Aristophanes – from 5^th century Athens to watch the Democrat primary race of today, they would recognize it instantly.  It is a perfect Greek tragedy.

All the incredible amounts of money being spent, all the frantic energy and hysteria, the entire swirling maelstrom created by a vast cast of characters – all of it is for naught, for there can be only one outcome, an inescapable outcome of doom.

The old playwrights would scoff at our naïve notions of free will, our arguments that each of the participants in the tragedy – such as the "superdelegates" – really do have the capacity to act for themselves.

No, they would say, the characters have no choice, for no matter what they do, they are drawn into a trap of ineluctable fate, like a fly caught in a web of invisible silk strands, so invisible he doesn't know he's caught while the spider approaches.

How else to explain, they would ask, the behavior of Democrats such as Indiana party chairman Joe Andrew or former national chairman Paul Kirk switching their superdel votes from Hillary to Obama?

Nothing could be more blindingly obvious, they would point out, that any possible hope of Obama being elected president of the United States has been obliterated by his madman pastor.  Yet here are the superdels flocking to the loser immediately after the madman's speech of destruction, and pointedly before the Indiana and North Carolina primaries.

Hillary will handily win Indiana, while Obama will win North Carolina on the strength of the black vote only.  Indiana is a state the Dems could carry in November, North Carolina they don't have a chance.  Obama has lost every major state the Dems need in November, such as California, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, and Pennsylvania (the single exception is his home state of Illinois).

Any sane person can clearly see Jeremiah Wright has destroyed whatever slim chance Obambi Hussein had in the first place.  After the reverend reaffirmed all his hate-America lunacies at the National Press Club, Obambi's attempt to proclaim his "outrage" and throw the guy whose sermons he listened to for 20 years under the bus was pathetic.

Nobody bought the outrage.  Some country singer could rocket to the top of the charts right now with a song entitled, You cain't throw nobody under the bus after the bus has done gone by.

It is over.  Obama is toast.  He was toast when Wright's "God Damn America" videos hit YouTube last March, as we said in God Damn Barack Obama.  It's only going to get worse from now on.  His associations with crooked slumlords (Tony Rezko) and murderous terrorists (William Ayres), his ultra-extreme pro-abortionism, his doctrinaire ultra-left liberalism, his pro-Palestinian antipathy towards Israel… the list goes on, and it's barking absurdity to think he has a ghost of a chance in November.

Yet the Dem leadership and superdels are determined that he be their nominee.  The 5^th century Greeks would have understood the play.

A 4^th century Greek would understand what happens to the audience watching the play.

A great tragedy, Aristotle (389-322 BC) said, provides the audience with the opportunity to experience katharos­ – catharsis – a purging of the emotions of pity and fear.

Such an emotional purgation is the great hope of this electoral campaign – the thrilling possibility that the Democrat nomination of Barack Hussein Obama and his defeat in November may at last purge millions of  blue collar Democrat voters of white guilt.

White guilt is, of course, the dominating emotion within the Democrat Party.  Pity for the poor oppressed black and fear of their oppressed rage is what gives the Al Sharpton/Jesse Jackson race hustlers the power to run the victim/intimidation scam.

Exposure of the philosophy behind the scam, the philosophy now instantiated in Obama's pastor called Black Liberation Theology, is going to cause a ruinous political civil war between black liberals – and cause masses of blue collar Dems to abandon white guilt.

Jeremiah Wright proclaims himself a proponent of this theology, and its founder, James Cone, to be his spiritual mentor.  It is a theology claiming to be Christian while being profoundly anti-Christian, for it is based on hate, not love.  Black racist hate for whites.

All whites by their nature as whites are oppressors.  America, as a nation founded and controlled by whites, is an evil, sinful, oppressor nation.  The purpose of blacks on earth is not to seek salvation from Christ from sin, but salvation from the sin of white oppression.

Obama's only path now is to escalate his condemnation of these teachings, which are deeply believed in and preached in a lot of black churches.  A massive catfight will ensue between the pro-Obama and pro-Wright/Cone camps.  Whatever the outcome for blacks, it will serve to make millions of white Dem voters aware of the extent of black racist hate.

The result could be Aristotle's catharsis, folks purged of pity and fear of the victim/intimidation scam.  Folks finally declaring:

 "We don't care if your ancestors were slaves!  You are not!  Stand up like adults, stop pretending to be children. Stop pretending to be victims.  Grow up and get over it.  And don't bother us with rage and intimidation.  We don't care if you're angry.  We just don't care anymore.  No more fear, no more pity, no more guilt."

White guilt is the only thing that holds the Democrat Party afloat.  Take it away, and it's not just Obama who sinks, but the Dem Party itself.  A satisfying end to a true Greek Tragedy.
