A WARNING AND A THANK YOU

This is a quick warning and a long thank you.

First, I need to warn you about a very dangerous new computer virus, a "trojan horse" or "worm" traced to a group of malicious hackers in China.  It's called Mocmex and it can destroy your PC Windows computer.  Another good reason to get a Mac!  Read the link to see how you can protect yourself.

Second, we'll get back to transistors and electrons next week, but I am still coming down from the wonderful time I and my fellow TTPers had in Sarasota.  So pardon me if I wax philosophical and take the time to share our blessings.

This being a techie column, let me put it in techie terms.  If life were a technological device, what would be yours?

Possibly an iPhone to broadcast and keep in touch with all you choose, anywhere in the world.

A sleek Dell XPS laptop to style and keep in sync with the mainstream?

Or a slick Apple MacBook Pro to let the world know that you have style and have made it?

A Blackberry to candidly state your achievements and accomplishments to everyone.

An Olympus digital recorder to hold onto instant flashes of brilliance that should not pass fleetingly away as with most of our dreams?

An iPod Nano to impress and dance away our inhibitions?

Or a Microsoft Zune MP3 player to show we are cool but still mainstream?

A Nikon Coolpix digital camera to capture ones digital impressions and images?

A Panasonic flat screen HDTV to receive the high def news and entertainment?

A Kodak digital picture frame to cycle your favorite images?

Yet, of all the high tech things now in our lives, the high tech thing that matters the most can be found in a mirror. Be kind to your self and those you care for. This is the best of all technologies, to trust in yourself!

So as a reflect on the beautiful memories of good companionship with you all at our latest TTP meeting, I take time to smile and thank you for your friendship.

Thank you for your good character, for the smiles and handshakes and jokes and laughter that made this such a pleasant event.  And thanks to all TTPers for being a part of our To The Point family.

Just remember when you look into that mirror that you are the most technological gem on earth and you have meaning and importance on this earth. For in you is the essence of life given to us through a powerful good force and loving Creator.

Bless you friends, for you have improved my life, and I humbly cherish the times we shared.
