THE TEMPER TANTRUM THAT COULD KILL AMERICA

Nations can have temper tantrums too, and the consequences can be equally disastrous.

Last November, American voters had a collective temper tantrum.  They lost their temper at Republicans and voted against them.  They didn't vote for any positive reasons, they went strictly negative.

The voters lost their temper at George Bush, at the war in Iraq, at bridges to nowhere in Alaska and no fences along our southern border, at… it was a long, long list of complaints.

What voters did not do last November is vote for surrender and defeat in Iraq, higher taxes, more government spending, and national security imperiled.  Yet that's what they got with the Democrats.

And our country is in grave risk because of it.  The risk is growing by the day. 

It has become frighteningly obvious here in Washington that the Democrat Party leadership not only is doing vast damage to our military and security services, they want to, they want to leave their country defenseless.

It's not just the big headline-grabbing acts of treason of Lost Harry Reid, Traitor John Murtha, and Pelosi Galore in her Hermès scarf in Damascus. 

It's the radical left Congressistas who are now running the Capitol Hill asylum.  Like John Conyers (D-MI), now Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, who hates his country so much that there was not a single time he sided with America in any dispute with the Soviet Union.  From his first term in 1965 to the day the Soviet Union died, he was consistently pro-Soviet.

Today, Conyers represents the most Islamic district in the US, and is just as pro-Islamofascist as he was pro-Communist.  He's Congress' biggest supporter of CAIR, the Flying Imams, Philly cop-murdering Islamofascist Abu Jamal – anything he can do to prevent US security and law enforcement agencies from going after Moslem terrorists, he will do it.

Like Ellen Tauscher (D-CA), who chairs the strategic forces subcommittee of House Armed Services.  Last week, she just slashed $764 million for missile defense in the mark-up of the 2008 defense authorization bill.

In particular, she targeted the missile defense sites we're building in Poland and the Czech Republic to defend Europe from the threat of Iranian missiles.  She used the lame excuse of "not wanting to offend the Russians" who don't like their former colonies protected from anything.  The Pentagon has explained to her in detail how the missile interceptors are incapable of taking down Russian ICBMs, just Iranian medium-rangers.  No matter.

But she didn't stop there.  She gutted the budget for the Airborne Laser Program, using a laser gun in a Boeing 747 to shoot down missiles in their boost phase after launch.  This eliminates our single most advanced and promising technology to destroy enemy missiles when they are most vulnerable.

On a regular basis, Tauscher, Conyers, and their hate-America colleagues send their staffers to workshops conducted by POGO, the Project on Government Oversight founded originally as the Project on Military Procurement by a rabidly anti-military activist, Dina Rasor.

Ms. Rasor never met an American weapons system she liked, from the M-1 tank ("a very bad tank") to cruise missiles ("a failure").  Her latest target is the Air Force's F-22 Raptor, the ultra-hitech fighter jet replacing the 30 year-old F-15.  Ms. Rasor hates the F-22 because it will provide continued American air superiority.

She doesn't admit this, just claims the F-22 is "troubled" – it's not perfect so cancel it.  She fails to explain why Japan desperately wants to buy 200 troubled F-22s to protect it from China, or why Taiwan wants several dozen for the same purpose.  Or why China is hysterically demanding we refuse the sales.

So the media is being flooded with "news bulletins" put out by radical left Congressional offices at Ms. Rasor's direction about the troubled F-22.  Google "F-22 Raptor" and "troubled" and you'll get 11,000 hits.

Now we turn to the latest treasonous lunacy, the House Intelligence Committee's attempt to divert tens of millions of dollars from intelligence operations to global warming research.

The committee chairman, Silvestre Reyes (D-TX), literally has a two-digit IQ.  If you met him, you would be stupefied at how stupid he is.  Pete Hoekstra (R-MI), who was the intel chairman until the November temper tantrum, is in a state of shock at the Democrats' frivolousness.  

These are just a few token examples.  As you are reading this, hundreds of Democrat Congresscritters and their staffers are diligently engaged in dozens, scores, of ways to defund and damage our national security.

That's the deadly price of a national temper tantrum.

And if voters insist on having another such tantrum in November 2008, America will be rendered so defenseless that it will soon be no more.

Here is one way to shake voters into a realization of the consequences of their last tantrum and what they face should they have another:

For prominent leaders of the Republican Party to advocate that the Democrat Party as an organization, together with its individual leaders, be prosecuted under RICO statutes as a criminal conspiracy to dismantle American national security.

Who better to do this than a former prosecutor who, as US Attorney for New York, successfully prosecuted the Gambino, Lucchese, Genovese, Colombo, and Bonanno families of the Mafia under the RICO Act?

Or a former US Attorney who helped send a governor of Tennessee, Ray Blanton, to federal prison?

I'm waiting for an answer from Rudy Giuliani, and I'll be asking Fred Thompson at a meeting this weekend.  I'll let you know what they say.
