THE POISON THAT IS KILLING THE WEST

The media photo that best explains the Iranian seizure of 15 British sailors and marines last Friday (3/23) is not one that shows them eating and "being well cared for," nor of female sailor Faye Turney wearing a Moslem headscarf.

It is this one of a "Walk of Witness" parade in London the day after the hostage seizure (Saturday 3/24) that had nothing to do with it:

so_sorry

3,000 people wearing color-of-mourning black T-shirts saying "So Sorry" paraded in front of Big Ben and the Parliament Building to mark the 200th anniversary of the law abolishing the slave trade throughout the British Empire.

What were these people so sorry about?  You would think that this would be a joyous occasion, the bicentennial celebration of a historically heroic British achievement – the abolishment of the slave trade.

But no, these self-flagellants were in deep mortification over the previous existence of what was abolished – an institution as old as history, accepted by every civilization for thousands of years.  They perverted something morally noble into an excuse for feeling morally guilty.  This is the poison that is killing the West, the poison that empowers the evil of the West's enemies such as the mullahs of Iran.

The day after the So Sorry March in London, New York conservative talk show host Kevin McCullough wrote a column for Townhall entitled Why do Democrats Crave Defeat?  He starts by pleading:

Please explain something to me. What is this obsession that liberals have with seeing America destroyed?  Why are they so intent on humiliating their fellow citizens? And why don't they have at least some modicum of pride about the greatest nation the world has ever produced?

He "cannot for the life of me comprehend" this mystery.  It is not a mystery to you, however, because you read To The Point.

So you understand the connection between masochism and envy-appeasement, between liberalism and the fear of being envied, because you've read Rejecting the Evil Eye, The Root Cause of the Immigration Crisis, and Aeschylus and America.

You understand something that liberals never do:  that envious predators smell the fear of envy like sharks smell the blood of wounded and defenseless prey.

The 15 British soldiers weren't physically wounded and defenseless when they were captured by Iranian predators.  They were armed, trained and prepared to fight, backed up by a British warship capable of blowing the Iranian gunboat clean out of the water, the captain of which was ready and eager to do.

The Iranian predators, however, could smell they were morally wounded and defenseless – which they were, for they were ordered to surrender, the captain ordered not to fire, by the British Ministry of Defense.

As bad, as traitorously awful you think the moonbats who control the Democrat Party are, they are pure-bred patriots compared to the Brits.  For very good reason did British writer Melanie Phillips entitle her description of England's surrender to darkness, Londonistan.

Ahmadinejad and his thugs know that America still has some fight left in her, so he went for the soft yellow underbelly of our Coalition in Iraq.  By humiliating England, he thinks he can get it to quit Iraq, which may then be the tipping point the Democrats need to force Bush to do the same.

It's also a moneymaker by the driving up oil prices, upon which Iran's economy depends.

The timing of the provocation was chosen in response to the enormous assemblage of US firepower now in the Persian Gulf, described in The Real Surge and the Phony Civil War last month.

Right in the teeth of this overwhelming military might, the mullahs pick a taunting fight – not with us, for we would have turned the Iranian gunboat into a greasy oil slick and they knew it – but Brit weenies instead (again, not the Brit soldiers but those in the Defense Ministry).

The mullahs have made a bet of desperation to pick such a fight facing such firepower.  If they miscalculate and that firepower is unleashed, millions of Iranians will use the opportunity of war to riot and rebel against them, and they will be swept away.

And it is a very tricky bet – betting on English weakness that in turn will somehow create greater American weakness.  It's safe to bet on the first part – less so on the second.  Perhaps the mullahs think Traitor John Murtha is now the American military's Commander-in-Chief instead of George Bush.  That's what the American media tells them.

What gives the mullahs confidence is that the poison of envy-appeasement has reached levels of lethality in America's leading ally and in the political party controlling America's Congress.  Further, they see no antidote available nor anyone to administer it.

The antidote has been identified.  It is Civilizational Confidence, discussed last December.  Acquiring and administering it is another matter – and if we don't learn how to do so, the poison of envy-appeasement is going to kill us as a culture, a civilization, and as a nation.

It is well on its way of doing so in England and many other countries of Europe.  The peoples and leaders of these Western countries simply don't have the will to reject envy, reject the Envious Evil Eye of predators.

What will it take for them to regain their will?  One thing that would really help right now is full-on war with Iran, resulting in the physical obliteration of Iran's military and nuclear facilities, and targeting the regime itself resulting in killing most of the governing elite.

Nothing provides confidence more than victory.

Today (3/29) in Parliament, Tony Blair talked tougher than he did earlier in the week, because of his conversations with George Bush.  If Blair and Bush have the spine to take on Iran all-out with everything short of nukes, the mullahs won't last long, the war will be over quickly, and the predators will cower in fear rather than their prey.

Iranian forces are formidable, as described by my good friend Ken Timmerman which should be available on Ken's website by next week.  Yet both Ken and I are confident that American military might, if fully committed, is fully capable of collapsing the Iranian Mullacracy.

Once again, a crisis provides an opportunity.  Ahmadinejad  has made a bet that Bush and Blair will not take advantage of the crisis he provoked and created.  It's a wonderful opportunity for a war that's badly needed as an antidote to the poison that's killing the West.

It would be only the first dose of such an antidote, but it could catalyze the administration of the further doses needed.

Everything's in place.  The incredible firepower poised in the Persian Gulf.  The collapsing economy of Iran.  The Iranian people, from Kurds to Azeris to Ahwazis to Baluchis to Persians, ready to rise.  The enormous wealth of intelligence provided by recent key Iranian defectors.  The golden excuse to pull the trigger with the seizure of the Brits and the outrageous exploitation of the one among them who is female.

All that's needed is for Bush and Blair to agree to Give War A Chance.  Victory is the antidote our civilization so desperately needs.
