PELOSI’S PRIMROSE PATH

The streets are frozen solid here in Washington, its dangerous to even walk to the Metro much less drive around, and I am having so much fun.  It's a tossup over what's more hilarious, the global warming freaks in Congress having to cancel a hearing about how we're all going to fry because of snow blizzards and freezing rain, or the talking news heads endlessly blathering about Anna Nicole.

Most fun of all though is how GW is leading Pelosi Galore right down Primrose Lane – right this way, Nancy.

First he gets her to waste enormous amounts of time in full public view trying to get an impossibly stupid "non-binding" resolution devoid of meaning that has outraged her radical left hate-America base – because they want her to spend her time on defunding the war.

Now that she's making an empty fool of herself to normal voters and infuriating her most fervent supporters at the same time, Bush gets her into a frothing tizzy over Iran.  "The President has no authority to go into Iran," she hyperventilates, thinking that GW is about to land the Marines at Bandar Abbas, seize the Iranian oil fields, bomb the nuke facilities into radioactive rubble, and plunge the world into genocidal chaos.

The lady is being played like a Stradivarius, and she doesn't even know it.  She's oblivious!  This is a thing of sheer beauty.  It can snow and freeze all it wants.  I'm enjoying the view.

And I have even gotten around to how she got snookered into playing Queen Nancy demanding a Royal Non-Stop Aircraft with which to schmooze her donors and lobbyists coast-to-coast.

That's because it was the prank equivalent of sending Pelosi on a snipe hunt.  Getting her hysterical on Iran is political magic – for the essence of magic is misdirection.

As discussed in The Coming Palace Coup in Iran late last month, the object of all the firepower Bush has assembled in the Persian Gulf (two carrier groups, two expeditionary strike groups, four attack submarines) is to precipitate the collapse of Iran's Mullacracy from within.

Yes, as noted, the State Department is playing along because it's rooting for a palace coup, Ahmadinutjob being replaced by an ayatollah they think they can make a deal with and who will pretend to be nice — Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.

But look what's been happening in the last couple of weeks:  revolts and insurrections breaking out all over Iran, specifically targeting the regime's most brutal forces – the Pasdaran Revolutionary Guards and Basij gangs of government thugs.

The revolt of Sunni Baluchi tribesmen in southeast Iran is growing.  This week (2/14) Jundallah rebels killed 11 Pasdaran soldiers and wounded many more.  The regime is increasingly incapable of suppressing Baluchi secessionism and rebellion.

My friends among the Ahwazi Arabs in Iran's oil region of Khuzestan tell me their program of sabotage  is expanding.  "The American naval forces right off our coast has given our people much high morale," one of them told me.

Best news of all, however, is the massive tribal rebellion underway in central Iran.  The Ghashghai, Bakhtiari, and Lor tribes – together comprising over three million folks – have begun liberating their villages and towns from regime control.

On January 31st in the town of Semirom alone over a dozen Basijis and Pasdaran were killed.  Fighting has broken out all over Isfahan and Yassooj provinces, and is spreading into Fars, with thousands of tribesmen attacking government forces.

You can expect the tribal rebels to soon link up with the Ahwazis – and for armed resistance to then emerge within the millions of Iranian Kurds.

Couple all of this with the success of Bush's surge already happening in Iraq.  The clearest indicator is Mookie – Moqtada al-Sadr, leader of the major Shiite terrorist militia – has fled to Iran with his family and all his top commanders.  They're all hiding out in Tehran scared that George is going to drop a JDAM on their turbans.

Hubris makes you stupid.  Bush understands this is what has happened to Pelosi Galore.  She has bet her party's farm on Bush losing – which means America losing – in Iraq.  It has not occurred to her to ask:  what if Bush succeeds?

America's victory in Iraq is the Democrats' nightmare, which is why they are so desperate to prevent it.  They want another Vietnam defeat – it's their path to power in 2008.

Bush is making it their primrose path.
