NAILED SHUT

OK, kids, it’s safe to come out and play now – the Sheriff is back and chased away the scary man.

During the second debate, I was so nervous that I drank an entire bottle of wine watching it. For the third, all I had was a glass of water. Kerry got demolished. He looked old. He looked haggard and weary and baggy-eyed tired. His hands trembled, either from nervousness or the onset of Parkinson’s. He droned and babbled statistics. He lost every pro-life Catholic vote in the country and every anti-homosexual “marriage” vote as well. He was constantly on the defensive regarding his pathetic and hyper-liberal Senate record. He reassured no one who doubts his capacity to win the war on Islamofascist terror.

Bush looked young, fit, energetic, relaxed, and upbeat. People don’t remember statistics. They remember images and a sound bite or two. The images, not the words, lost it for GW in the first debate, and destroyed it for Kerry in the third. Couple that with lines like, “A plan has to be more than a litany of complaints”; “In the mainstream of American politics, Senator Kerry is way over sitting on the left bank”; and of course, GW’s reply to what men should learn from their wives: “To listen to them.”

Just as Bush clinched it with millions of women voters with that response, so Kerry repulsed them with his “cheap and tawdry political trick,” as Lynn Cheney put it, of his invoking her daughter’s homosexuality. Moms all across America now agree with Mrs. Cheney’s assessment: “He is not a good man.”

What closes the deal with voters is Bush’s message of optimism, versus Kerry’s being little more than a litany of complaints posing as a “plan.” In virtually every presidential election in American history, the candidate perceived as most optimistic has won. Let that fact sink in. George Bush has nailed John Kerry’s coffin shut.

For those Nellies still nervous about polls – bear in mind that the national ones are way overweighted with folks from the huge Blue states of California and New York, and that anti-Bush pollsters like Zogby are overweighting them with Democrats.

Further — remember what just happened in Oz. All the Australian polls on election eve said it was too close to call – and John Howard won in a historic landslide. I don’t know what US pollsters will be saying on November 1st, but the next day will see a Bush landslide.

Helping to drive the landslide momentum over the next two+ weeks will be the new ads of the Swift Vets, who have combined forces with former POWs. They have raised and are spending millions for the ads in key battleground states.

The 180 Bombshell I told you about last month (TTP, Sept.16) is exploding. On October 13, the New York Sun newspaper ran Mystery Surrounds Kerry’s Navy Discharge.

Then there’s the Iran-Kerry scandal. Hanoi John, it turns out, is also Tehran John, in bed deep with supporters of the Ayatollah Terror Masters in Iran. One example is a millionaire stooge of the ayatollah terrorists named Hassan Nemazee. He’s suing a friend of mine, Aryo Pirouznia, the leader of the Iranian democracy movement in the US, trying to shut him up about Kerry’s connections to the Ayatollahs through Nemazee. (To support Aryo, go to regimeinfluence.com.)

What other surprises lurk for Tehran John in October’s waning days? Well, let’s just say Hillary’s lips are sealed, but her finger’s on the trigger.

The bottom line is that there is only one hope the Democrats have left for Kerry: to cheat, and massively. It has already begun with voter registration fraud in states like Colorado and Florida – and when caught, up go the knee-jerk accusations of discrimination, racism, and “disenfranchisement.”

The purpose of such accusations, of course, is to intimidate state election officials into letting the Democrats cheat. Be prepared, folks. The Kerryistas are going to Floridize all of America. They are going to cheat on a scale that dwarfs anything this country has ever seen, and launch a torrential downpour of lawsuits challenging Bush victories in so many states in will make Florida 2000 look like a pre-season warm-up.

This is not just because Democrats are deranged with Bush-hatred. It’s because in their left-wing hearts they are Marxists. Marxists who hate capitalism and employers, Marxists who hate families as obstacles to state control of children, and most of all, Marxists whose morality is that the ends justify the means.

The Democrat Party is now dominated by people who feel they have a moral right to cheat and lie and intimidate, by people who are willing if not eager to discredit and ruin America’s entire electoral system. The only thing that can stop them is for enough people to stand up to them and refuse to be intimidated.

Gird your loins, folks. We’re up against an organized effort to wreck the very basis of American democracy. It’s not going to be over on November 2nd. We’ll be in a fight for America’s life for weeks afterward. But in the end, I am confident that America will close the lid of the Kerryistas’ coffin, and nail it shut.
