SUMMING IT ALL UP

He didn’t do it – and I was kind of crossing my fingers he would. Kerry couldn’t get Hillary to be his running mate. The Left has energy this year which the Right doesn’t. Hillary would have energized the Right more than anything else. Yet it’s all for the best, because the energy we’re talking about is wholly negative. Let the Left have that kind of energy to themselves, the energy of hate, bitterness, and rage.

So now the Democrats have saddled themselves with a pair of Johns – Hanoi John and the Ambulance Chaser. I’m going to follow Tony Blankley’s advice – Avoiding the Tedium of Edwards in this week’s Guest Author column, other than to observe how lethal Edwards is to Kerry’s November prospects.

The president of the US Chamber of Commerce, Thomas Donahue, has made it publicly clear that Fortune 500 executives, and American businessmen as a whole, despise trial lawyers as “modern day mobsters shaking down corporations,” and will do whatever they can to defeat the Kerry-Edwards ticket.

Such a ticket is final proof that, as noted last Spring in Bush’s Biggest Supporter (TTP Intel Bulletin, April 23, 2004 and currently in Classics), Her Royal Shrillness is determined to have Bush win in 2004 so that she can run in 2008.

I can’t resist one other Edwards negative: while he’s tall and trim, his wife Elizabeth is a five-by-five blimp. She’s a nice lady, I’m told, and we can feel a personal sympathy for her obesity – but the cold political reality is that it’s a voter turn-off.

The biggest voter turn-off on November 2, however, will be the hatred the Left has for America. Showcasing Edwards’ “sunny optimism” will not be a sufficient antidote. What motivates the Left and the Democrat Party in this election cycle is Michael Moore Hatred of America and America’s President.

To sum this up, To The Point is offering The Sums It All Up Bumper Sticker. To sum the logic up: While not all those who vote for Kerry hate America, all those who hate America will vote for Kerry – and while not all those who love America will vote for Bush, all those who vote for Bush love America.

The bottom line is a vote for Kerry is a vote for the Michael Moore-ification of America, it is a vote for the defeat of America against her enemies. And for that reason, it is a vote that there will be far too few of in November.
